I started Tekken approximately 5 days ago. I have never played it in my life, and I started with Jack-8, and so far it is going well. Thanks for showing the varieties of combos you can do with these PJs.

Good stuff. Though the F3, Stance, 4 ender is in general the best ender. It does 2 more damage than F1,2,1, it doesn't require a side step in order to hit, has the same wall carry (though it doesn't lift up as high), has more plus frames for better oki, and is the same route you'd use to Heat Dash.

Something very important. If you df2 off axis (after SS for example) you have to skip F4 in the combo or else it drops. So it would be df2, ff2, b1 etc...
..

Do you have any guides for Oki and what to do at the Wall (not combos, but pressure and combo starters)? As well as how to approach during neutral, and how to pressure during offense with Jack?

Depending on the controller you might find the best pick up after tornado and before heat burst to be fF2. On my controller i can dash tap side step to cancel the momentum then input fF2 to get closer enough to hit after a decent combo. Combo example would be;
D/F 2 F4 fF2 b1 f121 Dash tap side step fF2 2+3 run f3d4f Prime windup uppercut. 92 damage with blue sparks. Great video, i learnt so much. This is not a criticism just a little bit of optimisation i thought of. Until i find and even better move to pick up with haha
I don't know if I am missing something but I think you can get a guaranteed wind up uppercut if you hit the opponent with F 3+4 after a heat burst in a combo. Any version of wind up seems to work, whether from stance or regular input.
I was just messing about in training mode, and noticed it. Seems strong.
Thanks for another banger video, what conversion are you doing off of GHF1? When I raw stance WR2 from Drag or WR 3,2 from Azu I’d like to be a little more optimal
Same combos as the combos from ch df1,1. Those are my usual routes for immediate tornado combos.

I know you posted another guide with more info with basic pokes etc, but do you think it’ll be possible to show us some of your replays and analyze it? Think some of us can learn better if we see the pokes/punishes in a real match.
I think you can download his replays in Tekken 8 if you search by ID or you can check any top player on Jack 8 also currently it is public to see in game.

I'm new to Tekken with Tekken 8 and my god some of this seems so overwhelming lol. I know to break it up into starters/extenders/enders but I just freeze up and don't know which one to press if I can't just follow a standard combo route. How long does it usually take for someone to be able to mix and match stuff together?
Also how necessary is blue upper? I find that input to be really hard to do, even on keyboard/leverless.
And then mixing in heat stuff? Good lord this is melting my brain

Usually people put their "normal" bnb first, then wall carry, next heat shenanigans. Makes it easier to see patterns and get progressively harder. Good stuff regardless!

just do a dash input and input it like ur doing while running.

At 3:28 , 4:14 , 7:36, etc.
Replacing the last f1,2,1 for ff1+2,2 does one more damage, doesn't require SSR, and is more consistent.

For f,f2 no heat this does 86 damage (+3) and it's easier than hitting f+4 after double u1+2:
f,f2, UF1, dash, f4,b1, f1,2,1
I'm not sure if it's guaranteed, but after b1,2 on neutral hit EMGF seems guaranteed. No clue if that's true but so far it hasn't ever been countered by anyone I played against

Yo my F121 ender keeps whiffing on the last hit on the "no heat" and "easy" df2 starter combos. I run up as close as I can but the third hit still whiffs. Any idea why?
Yes you have to mini SSR after you dash up for the f1,2,1 ender
For an easier option you can do f3,2

Is there a reason there's no df21 combos anywhere? Combos from it are way easier and more damaging

It means you have to dash and then do the input.
@@theamvnoob I’m assuming it’s dash and then return to neutral rather then keeping the input right? And then what does the db mean for the wall splat combo section? And thank you for responding you’re more helpful then you know.
db means down back

Hello, i'm beginner, i feel like many combos miss the initial input, is it intended or is it just me ? For example all the tornadoes, at 0:10, it's not just uf1 right ?
It is uf1, if you hold it down jack does what’s essentially an anti air punch, and its main use is as a tornado in combos
