Sometimes I’ve saw that you would need a Lipo to be able to put it back in nimh. If your light is green, that is Lipo mode if your light is red, that is. Nimh.
I have a traxxas erevo vxl 1/16. I want lipos for it. All traxxas lipo batteries I could use are 25c. If I use a non traxxas lipo battery that's 50c (2200mah) will that damage the engine or speed control?
Thanks! Ya I'm looking into a Vant 7.4 volt 2s 2200mah 50C or HRB same specs as the Vant, or yowoo lipos with the same specs except it is a 130C. Any advice choosing between these? @@filapraha if you plug-in two fully charged batteries and they are Lipo the light should be green. The light should turn green meaning low-voltage is activated safe to run Lipo.
Hi, i am new to this rc things so i wanna ask is it okay run nimh battery on lipo mode? When i got my rc car, it already on lipo mode but the battery is nimh
Do not run your machine in lipo mode when you have NIMH in it it will give you false readings in the vehicle will stop by itself for nothing. Nimh Will drop in voltage very fast compare of a Lipo. I Lipo keep its voltage until it’s time to stop.
What is the difference between NiMH mode and LiPO mode? I mean, of course it is to change battery setting, but what changes? Is it just voltage level settings? Or maximums current flow? I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to operate a motor controller with a 12V lead acid battery when the controller only has settings to choose between a LiPO and NiMH
LiPos will output more power to the vehicle and stay full power throughout the driving meaning when the battery is being discharged it will always give the car full throttle until it hits the low voltage threshold and you have to balance the cells again, but don’t completely let the battery die. You want enough charge to get it charging again or else it will never charge again because there’s no juice in it and when you’re done with it always make sure to storage charge it. NiMH mode is like LiPo mode but the battery slowly loses charge throughout the driving meaning you lose power to the car as you’re driving until the battery dies but don’t let the battery fully die or else you won’t be able to charge it again.
Hi. But does the VXL 3s ESC understand difference between 2s and 3s? I mean cut off voltages are different between 2s and 3s. If I try 3s may ESC still think 2s connected with 6.4v cut off and kill 3s battery with correct cut off 9.6v?

Yes green is lipo red is nimh Now what could be happening with your 3 cell is you could have a bad cell and it’s not giving you full voltage if yours 2 cell work fine. I would say that the other battery is damage or not fully charged
If it’s the receiver that’s flashing that’s telling me you need to bind it once you bind then you should be fine. th-cam.com/video/Sp5NOs3G-CA/w-d-xo.html
