Are the ski resorts paying local news to "sell the stats" or something? This is nowhere near a record season. In fact, we're behind "average" on snowfall at most of our resorts. And for those who ski the groomers, watch for the brown spots. That's still happening.. in late December. I'm not picking on 9News, the other local stations are over selling the "powder" as well. The good news is that (so far) it has stayed cold enough up there that the snow hasn't degraded as much as it would in higher temps despite low amounts of new snowfall the past couple weeks. It isn't bad but we need a couple FEET of new snow, rather than a few inches here and there.

I'm sure they recieve money to promote tourism. Personally I think it's slowly killing Colorado.
