I loved this album and I hope y’all love the video! ✊🏼 see y’all soon fam
can you do a review/reaction of the first album? Hearing you talk about it makes me think you'll do a great review/reaction.
I can’t react since i’ve heard it, but it’ll show up in the throwback series soon
Doug Araujo they always have albums that are fantastic. They deserve to be more popular in America.
Sincerity is Scary is one of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard.
I feel like I should mention, because it's really important, but it's not living is about his heroin addiction
I love the raw songs like Be My Mistake, and like Nana on their second album. Like, the way matty's voice cracks at certain points, it's amazing and it makes me tear up every time.
holy hell sir, you are the epitome of taste, loved every single comment
And i love YOUR comment ✊🏼😂
Great album indeed. Talking about Kanye-esque vocals, I believe Bon Iver actually inspired him to go in that direction with "Lost in the World". You should definitely check "22, A Million", super interesting production and great ideas.
I was thinking about this aswell. Bon Iver was the one who created this type of sound with the vocoder, and only then Kanye called him up to collab on MBDTF. "22, A Million" is a great album and I couldn't agree more about the production, it's very interesting.
@@felipeboszard5268 bon iver utilizes more on the prismizer rather than the vocoder. that said, i do agree with the sentiment of bon iver inspiring kanye, not the other way around.
Vocoding in its very basic form has existed since at least the 70's, and the 80's for sure. Kanye and Bon Iver are just some of the most prevalent people to make use of it in our time
This video made me the happiest. Love love love your precise and detailed review. You really get music. You're too enjoyable to watch! Thank you for reviewing this album such a a beautiful album and band.
This is one of the best reviews I have ever seen, your ability to really dissect the songs and truly hear the genius of this project is just incredible. Great great great review man, thank you.
Been waiting for it man great video
This shit came out 2 years ago and I’m vibing with you as if it’s only just come out

my favorite reaction video to this album by far, subscribed!
Great video! Something is missing though, and that is Black-Up by Shabazz Palaces
Hey man, on your comment about quantizing on Sincerity Is Scary - the way they are hitting and the timing is actually very remincicent of a dilla groove, fun fact
This album just has one problem: it ends! I loved this project and this band it's just growing up and making their own sound... hope they get develop even more their sounds. Just loved your reaction, your producer point of view it's what I'm looking for here, tnx
I love this band & I’m so happy I found your channel!!! Great review!!!
Check out Malibu Nights by LANY!
You should check out the new album from British rock group You Me At Six, titled 'VI'. It's some of their most commercial work with crossovers to pop/r&b leaning synth production and it makes for a really fun and exciting project from the one of the UK's leading names in rock this decade
As a musician and audio engineer I feel like you had my ears and brain and said everything that crossed my mind in first listen. “The key change!”
I'm not a professional by any means, but It makes me happy that professionals can agree with me
So I’m in a big group chat on twitter and there’s a good amount of 1975 FANS in it and I said the first song sounded so Kane influenced and got laughed out of the room. THANK YOU FOR VALIDATING MY THOUGHTS
Lol in the Genius interview, Matty said he’s a huge Kanye West fan, so he’s basically confirmed it himself
A lot of Bon Iver in there too. Some of his stripped down songs like Woods. Incredibly similar. Kanye was heavily influenced by Bon Iver too.
Zeke Wilson Bon Iver & his use of the vocorder were inspired by Kanye
My bad, had my timeline backwards. You right. Statement still holds true tho, Kanye has said that Justin is his favorite living artist.
been WAITIIIING for this
