i actually prefer disabling the first transfer window too, work with what u have, find a suitable formation and scouting heavily, i also have over a 100 players on scouting report so even if i don't sigh a player on the list at the very least i'll know when another club has put in in an offer for them so i'll be able to match the offer
Great video. I already do this for my career modes with realistic sliders. Any manager I create Sean Dyche for example I study his tactics and recreate them in game. For transfers I Google who there linked with to sign and try get them without breaking the club's actual transfer record.
I also choose players with real faces! Moreover,I scout manually! I don’t want to be tempted of free agents and expiring contract players that my scouts bring or I am super specific with instructions.
I think having the option to turn off potential status on players at the start of a save, so u can scout and find out how good they are currently without realising their potential is only 79 for example. That would make people more open to other, usually unfavourable, options and be a step in the right direction regarding more realistic career mode saves.
I always tried to do that... this year i started a Career mode with Inter, only 2 singings in the first window (Filip Kostic and Fabian Schar) and sold Perisic, Eriksen (who wasn't much used back in the day) and Vecino... all realistic prices and destinations too 2nd window, sold Vidal and Kolarov, (Ashley Young retires) and bring Ruben Vinagre as a LWB backup, and Orkun Kokcu as a replace for Vidal... then in the summer Bayern came to me for De Vrij with a great offer (60m or so) and end up singing Marcos Senesi from Feyenoord as replacement so far so good that's my 2 season career mode with Inter
One thing I like to do ontop of turning off the first summer transfer window is allocate the budget I am given to zero (which moves it all to wage budget) and then build up my funds again gradually by selling players and winning tournaments over time. It’s rare for new managers to get the 80 million budgets right away like you do in fifa. That’s why I move it all to wage budget at the start
Another great way to keep it realistic for lower table teams is using a net spend restriction as it allows to actually use the players you grow throughout the save rather than always going for Haaland, Camavinga, etc... at the end of the save to win the big trophies.
Disable the first transfer window so it’s not happening of the get go, and also it’s kind of realistic when teams sell their best players because the team wouldn’t want to get in the players way of joining a better team but when teams sell their best players and they aren’t old for a worse team that can be unrealistic but teams do tend to sell their best players to better clubs like how Chelsea did with Hazard and Courtious

what i think fifa should do is realistic promotion/demotions in the Bundesliga, not everyone that demotes instantly promotes again (see Hamburg) or new Promoters instantly demote (see Union Berlin) also a fall of bigger clubs would be nice, not really a demotion but like mid-table and clubs that were mid-table a chance to actually get to the Top 5 or 6

Currently got Portsmouth (League 1) in 2nd season and have have got em promoted championship. This season I signed keeper Maarten Vandevoort (Huge bargain and has a huge potential rating). Went to 74 already and I’m halfway in the season. Also signed CB Branthwaite (Blackburn) and Jacob Greaves (Hull City) previously. All cheap and low wages (biggest issue). Besides promoting academy players anybody got an idea on who would be a nice cheap fee/wage to sign?
@@FCGems To be honest it is way better than some of the other attempts I've seen. You should do a tutorial series on creating real life managers in game, it would be really good to have a more realistic career mode.
I tried a finnancial take over realistic career mode to blackburn since they have terrible owners. Bought Willock, sessegnon, Eric garcia and Mbuemo. Because they werent that hyped up as now in June 2020 which is where the career mode start. Then I realise how unrealistic it is after watching this vid lol
If you're going to sell Rice or players like him for a "realistic" price you wont be selling them until they have reached their full potential. Unfortunetly the game dosent take potential into consideration when buying players from you or selling to you for that matter
Is there anyway that my youth players won’t go from Potential to be special to nothing within a season if you can’t loan them out or play them? I wanna build a solid 18 and legit the subs and anyone on bench loses 3 status in less then one season it can’t be that drastic or is it?

Here's a thing that might help you with realistic signings I use one football for mine for who's linked to the team

Sadly not. Negative Dynamic Potential is terrible in FIFA21.
