I'll never forget, my friend was spending the night and after we watched this segment, he called his mom to go home. .LOL. I think we were maybe 10. Still one of my favorites.
Lmao that reminds me of a time I was a teen but I brought my younger friend over to spend the night n I put on creepshow 1, but the creepy intro where that evil skeleton hangs in front of the window scared tf outta him 😂 he's like "I can't watch this, I wanna go home" 😂😂
I grew up watching Creepshow 1 & 2....and this one, " The Raft" was my favorite story. I believe its the 2nd story in Creepshow 2. What a beautiful location! I remember the beautiful winding roads and the " pass the joint" :)))) unfortunately no one survives this one. Randy almost makes it but who knew that thing could literally lunge out of the water lol
I love the fact that you guys are traveling around, and reliving certain filming spots of movies that some of us grew up watching. And love the music in videos too👍
Saw The Raft as a young kid and it scared me so bad. Growing up I constantly remembered it whenever I swam but could not for the life of me remember where I saw it and one day a few years ago I was watching Creepshow and it came on. It still gives me chills after 30+ years.
Thank you for posting this. I grew up in Prescott and always thought it was Lynx lake the movie was filmed at. And BTW the no swimming sign was always there until a few years ago Prescott National Forest lifted swimming restrictions and you can now swim in that basin. Not that I would want to!! And that thing that Jessica is playing with is a cat tail.
Do you know if the actual raft/platform from Creepshow 2 was once a permanent structure on the lake, or was it just built for the movie set and removed after filming?
I hear ya, man. The Raft still sticks in my mind as one of the stories that freaked me out as a kid. I need to take a trip to Arizona and check out that location 😎
My grandma had a raft just like that when I was a kid. We used to dare each other to swim under it. It was raised up by the barrels so you could swim without going underwater and it was creepy.
Reasons why I love the raft. 1. Aquatic Monster 2. Setting 3. Hot Girls 4. Smoking Weed 5. The corny Jokes 6. The Setting of being stuck on that raft in the middle of that small lake in that beautiful area.
7. Childhood memories. 8. Stephen King. 9. The guys are hot too. 10. Cockblocked by a floating garbage bag. 11. Cool car with generic shitty 80s rock music blaring.

Hey nice, I became a sub of your guys channel about a year ago, I am from that area, I lived south of there about an hour or so away in a town called Wickenburg. I think i even have a video that shows the same area on my channel.. I now live in Tennessee but still coem home form time to time. Cool to see this on your channel!
I just rolled up on this video when I searched creep show the raft. I absolutely am thrilled by this! I’ve never seen your channel but if it’s content like this of you to places where horror was filmed IM ALL IN. I currently don’t suppor any channels financially other than watching, liking and commenting but I’m on the search to find a few to support. This might be a good one.

The Raft was always my favorite Creepshow story. We belong to a fishing club that has a beach and a raft just like in the movie. As a kid, I never would swim to it. Even now, I always think of this. Thanks for the video!
Dude, I just found your channel, you're my new idol. The Raft scared me too! And I watched every horror movie there was but that one got me. You and your lady are awesome, keep up the great work.

I read the short story before I saw Creepshow II. The descriptions of the deaths were VERY graphic and more fright-worthy than in the film. Especially the guy who gets S L O W L Y dragged inch by inch through a crack in the raft beginning with one foot and ending with only his high school ring left.

Was hoping the kids' car would still be there with the stereo blaring.
By now, it would have been towed away and the lake would be barred off.
Best comment.

It was May 1 1987

The Raft was creepy man. Even though it was just part of an anthology, it did a great job of imparting that fear of the unknown.

The original short story is even more haunting.
It's quite literally the same as the TV episode. Except the story ends with him never leaving the raft and it doesn't tell you what happens.
