Was hoping the kids' car would still be there with the stereo blaring.
By now, it would have been towed away and the lake would be barred off.
Best comment.
😅 cute
If that happened....Best ad for a car battery....ever!
@@epcotman32 It was already barred off, the "No Swimming" sign was just overgrown.
The Raft has stuck with me since I was a kid, definitely one of the best Creepshow segments. Thanks for taking us there!
It my favorite
Knew it was out west highly memorable segment.
Same here man.
Definitely all time!
Facts same here
OMG me and my wife just watched this, past weekend. Paul savini played the creep delivery
Jesus, it's looks like the lake has been completely taken over by the blob today.
It looks like it’s been taken over by Democrats lol drain the swamp
I thought the same thing...Greetings from Lima - Peru!!!
The blob lives!
what freaks me out more is she's wearing pyjamas and sleepers next to the frozen lake.😅
I miss the 80s and those 80s horror movies!
So do I. Things were so organic
Same!
I agree
what was the best and worst thing about the 80s?
@@mariahwhitneycelinejanetmadona Best thing about the 80's was the 80's, worst thing about the 80's is that the 80's ended.
Thank you for taking us who don’t have the means or ability to travel along on these adventures
Thank you for coming along with us 😊
I agree. I'm in Australia but the Creepshow films and Tales Of The Darkside were old favourites from the days of VHS tapes.
I'll never forget, my friend was spending the night and after we watched this segment, he called his mom to go home. .LOL. I think we were maybe 10. Still one of my favorites.
Lmao that reminds me of a time I was a teen but I brought my younger friend over to spend the night n I put on creepshow 1, but the creepy intro where that evil skeleton hangs in front of the window scared tf outta him 😂 he's like "I can't watch this, I wanna go home" 😂😂
@@sexicherrypepsi2510 these stories are hilarious, because I definitely would have been that friend who wanted to go home.
😅😂
The Raft was creepy man. Even though it was just part of an anthology, it did a great job of imparting that fear of the unknown.
I grew up watching Creepshow 1 & 2....and this one, " The Raft" was my favorite story. I believe its the 2nd story in Creepshow 2. What a beautiful location! I remember the beautiful winding roads and the " pass the joint" :)))) unfortunately no one survives this one. Randy almost makes it but who knew that thing could literally lunge out of the water lol
The thing jumped up for it's first kill. He was foolish to stay literally inches from the shore
If that oil slick could do that why didn't it do that at the raft and eat them all at once?
@@domls1317 haha thats what i always thought
Yep karma he sacrificed the other girl so he could get away😂😅 and didn't!
Wow! It looks like it’s still in 1988! So creepy still out there, same beautiful deserted atmosphere
It was May 1 1987
God, I miss the 80s 😢
It's so good Stephen king could write the raft 2
I'm Brazilian and I love creepshow movies, I think it's really cool videos where they show places where old movies were made, congratulations
Brazilian caipirinha is the greatest. Soccer and Globeleza! I love it
Saw The Raft as a young kid and it scared me so bad. Growing up I constantly remembered it whenever I swam but could not for the life of me remember where I saw it and one day a few years ago I was watching Creepshow and it came on. It still gives me chills after 30+ years.
The original short story is even more haunting.
It's quite literally the same as the TV episode. Except the story ends with him never leaving the raft and it doesn't tell you what happens.
Reasons why I love the raft.
1. Aquatic Monster
2. Setting
3. Hot Girls
4. Smoking Weed
5. The corny Jokes
6. The Setting of being stuck on that raft in the middle of that small lake in that beautiful area.
7. Childhood memories.
8. Stephen King.
9. The guys are hot too.
10. Cockblocked by a floating garbage bag.
11. Cool car with generic shitty 80s rock music blaring.
@@erika6651 Most of today's music is hands down far shittier than this 80's rock music could ever be imo. Score was overall very memorable to me It fits the mood. All of the raft music was good , and the Creepshow intros alone are legendary to horror fans.
@@fawkkyutuu8851 I haven't been able to enjoy rock in a long time. The newer stuff sounds so rehashed and uninspired now, it really feels a genre that has been exhausted of unique ideas. I prefer EDM/Electronic now for the energy rock used to give me.
I can picture Freakazoid looking with his binoculars and going "HULA GIRLS!"
Isn't one of those girls a boy now? Why is her name Jeremy Green.
I love the fact that you guys are traveling around, and reliving certain filming spots of movies that some of us grew up watching. And love the music in videos too👍
Bro some people have a real nostalgia for this movie, and to see this is amazing . Thanks for filming and uploading brother
How is the lake frozen in Arizona
NO SWIMMING...BURRRP! never thought I'd see this again, thanks guys!!
There’s so much nostalgia in this video.. I’ll visit the lake myself someday. Thanks for taking us there!
Thank you so much for this. The Raft freaked me out big time as a kid. Just when you thought he was going to get away.......One last jump scare.
Lol me to
My grandma had a raft just like that when I was a kid. We used to dare each other to swim under it. It was raised up by the barrels so you could swim without going underwater and it was creepy.
The Raft is my favorite Creepshow Segment.
Same
Creepshow 2 is one of my favorites from childhood. And the breaking ice sound was very satisfying.
I hear ya, man. The Raft still sticks in my mind as one of the stories that freaked me out as a kid. I need to take a trip to Arizona and check out that location 😎
Would be a nice trip
One of the best segments in any movie ever poncho😄
Oooooh Cisco….
Love this Stephen King short story. It's always been my favorite from Creepshow 2. My family has a pond & a swimming hole. I always think of 'The Raft' every single time when I see something floating!! 🐸🤘 Pass the joint!!!! ✌😜
I read the short story before I saw Creepshow II. The descriptions of the deaths were VERY graphic and more fright-worthy than in the film. Especially the guy who gets S L O W L Y dragged inch by inch through a crack in the raft beginning with one foot and ending with only his high school ring left.
This is the comment I was looking for. I was about to say the same thing.
Deke..
Yes! Getting sucked down and just having the ring left has always stuck in my mind.
I just watched this. God, the memories. I beat you. I think of it anytime I go swimming and anything other than a pool
Thank you for posting this. I grew up in Prescott and always thought it was Lynx lake the movie was filmed at. And BTW the no swimming sign was always there until a few years ago Prescott National Forest lifted swimming restrictions and you can now swim in that basin. Not that I would want to!! And that thing that Jessica is playing with is a cat tail.
Do you know if the actual raft/platform from Creepshow 2 was once a permanent structure on the lake, or was it just built for the movie set and removed after filming?
That's why I don't swim in lakes anymore, cause you never know
alligator as well if you're in the southeastern US.
i dont blame u
Personally the brain eating amoeba is what stopped me lol
Omg I remember this episode! It's one of the only ones that stuck in my head after all these years.
Thanks for the ride lady!
I love the RAFT PART AND THE ANGRY CHIEF IN THE FIRST STORY.
I was stationed at the former MCAS El-Toro from '86-'88 and had the pleasure of meeting Benjamin, the Indian character in the CS 2 'Cheif Woodenhead' story. He's the one that brought the jewelry to the store for a payment. Can't remember his real name, but my friends and I sat with him and his entourage at a large booth in a busy restaurant somewhere between Irvine and L.A. They were all very cordial. Good memories. : )
I dig stories like this, thank you for sharing 🎃
Legend says, the Blob creature still lurked in that lake.👍
The Raft was always my favorite Creepshow story. We belong to a fishing club that has a beach and a raft just like in the movie. As a kid, I never would swim to it. Even now, I always think of this. Thanks for the video!
I love your videos, you both made my 2020 year a lot easier to get through. I love Creepshow. Wishing you guys an adventurous 2021
Thank you 🥰
I just rolled up on this video when I searched creep show the raft. I absolutely am thrilled by this! I’ve never seen your channel but if it’s content like this of you to places where horror was filmed IM ALL IN. I currently don’t suppor any channels financially other than watching, liking and commenting but I’m on the search to find a few to support. This might be a good one.
Welcome…so glad you found us.
"The Raft" was really good. Once again really nice work.
Why am I already screaming, "Stay out of the water! Stay out of the water!"
I'm new to the channel and wanted to point out a couple things that I liked! It's really cool how you showed different parts of the locale in comparison to different shots in the movie. Also really cool how those rocks made that unique ice sound. Gonna check out more on the channel!
Dude, I just found your channel, you're my new idol. The Raft scared me too! And I watched every horror movie there was but that one got me. You and your lady are awesome, keep up the great work.
It’s essentially The Blob set in a pond
Awesome stuff! This was my favorite short story from any anthology. Crazy that it’s really way the Hell out in BFE like that.
The raft is absolutely my favorite creepshow segment ever
The raft is an excellent story from creepshow 2.😀👍
Hey nice, I became a sub of your guys channel about a year ago, I am from that area, I lived south of there about an hour or so away in a town called Wickenburg. I think i even have a video that shows the same area on my channel.. I now live in Tennessee but still coem home form time to time. Cool to see this on your channel!
Great video as per usual. Always a pleasure to watch you guys visit the places that no-one would think of. Keep up the great work. Subscribed!!😉
Fun fact the actor playing “Pancho” was also in Point Break as an FBI agent
Love the channel guys. You definitely go to all the locations I think about. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much. Watching it right now. You're so rad.
Anyone notice that Laverne’s red tshirt says Horlicks University? Same university as in The Crate in Creepshow? Awesome video guys!
Good catch.
Never even noticed that! Nice one 👍
Good eye 🥰
Love you for this bro!
Awesome! How you felt about the raft. Was how I feel about Phantasm. Freaked me out, still to this day.
Dude thank you so much for sharing this!! I am right there with ya when it comes to swimming and thinking of this movie.
The raft scene from Creepshow 2 and another scene - I believe it was either Tales from the Crypt or maybe The Twilight Zone - are only two scenes I remembered as a kid that truly freaked me out. Thanks for taking us on the adventure with you!
I absolutely love the filming 🎥 locations you guys go to but I also love watching yous 2 together and the dynamics yous share with each other yous 2 are awesome thanks for sharing your life and these amazing locations with us ❤️
The creepshow short traumatized me as a child, the short story in The Skeleton Crew frightened me as an adult! So cool you showed us this!
Thank you. It was always my favorite Creepshow segment. Freaked me out for years. Probably still does.
It's quite amazing how you guys are able to discover all these movie locations. You guys rock!!!
Thank you Luis. I’m always searching for the hidden, odd and forgotten.
Can't believe I didn't stumble upon this many 🌒🌙 ago,but as the saying goes " It's far better to be late, then never" and that is surely true when it comes to your channel and scenes etc. Thanks for another great scene footage and your hard work and dedication to your cause . Peace ☮️ Brother and sister goolz ☮️🙏✌️🌻
Wow again, recall this well watching in probably around late '89 back when I was a kid in England, great to see the locations!
The Raft is my favorite of all the Creep Show episodes.
The lake looks straight out of a horror movie today! All of the branches and debris make it look creepy.
Views are growing per video....keep it up! Subs growing happy for you both!
That was fun to watch, thanks for posting. I was a kid working in a movie theater when that came out and have seen it lots. It is a great movie and The Raft is a great segment of it. Thanks again.
I've been a subscriber for a while, but this location gave me no choice but to turn on the notifications, bravo!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
🥰
Dude this is awesome! Thank you for sharing this!
The woman said “Fluffy”. Hey, wasn’t that the name of the crate beast in the first “Creepshow” film back in 1982?
I think your right lol
Indeed it was called Fluffy, indeed it was.
Great job filming this! It brought back some great memories, thanks!
Super cool to see the location for this segment, always was one of my faves
Yes... I love this film and especially this segment called The Raft. Great vid!
One of the best stories from creep show! 👍
One of the best movies growing up to. Your so lucky you got to visit that place.Love watching your videos. Be safe and looking forward to you next video 🙂👍
Love your videos. Pet Cemetery is my favorite of yours so far
How cool i was just watching this movie like 2 days ago💚🖤💚🖤
Sinister Ambience made a great ambience video of this scene with the lake, raft and the car with music in the background.
I just saw this Masterpiece this past weekend. Memories. Thank you posting an awesome piece of history. Tom Broughton and Eddie Jones: Driving to the Edge of Time is what was playing on the car's stereo.🎸🎼🎵🎶✊🤘😎
The fluff from the plant Jessica was playing with was can be found in prehistoric & historic pottery. The fluff was mixed with clay to help it set up (stabilize).
These filming location videos just get better and better!!
I’m sooo happy I found this.. subscribed!!👻
That’s my favorite segment from Creepshow 🖤🖤🖤 Thank you for posting
This is by far the most punk rock channel on YT
This is awesome! Thanks for the great post
Love the videos keep 'em coming
Thanks for taking us there. That is so awesome.
Nicee those brown looking things are called cat tails
Thank you 😊
"Its gonna be a long 50 miles", or "I'm fast, and I can make it" are lines used in my circle daily!
5:43 you're describing the "thing" and there to the left by your fingers is a circular shadow that looks EXACTLY like it!
I always loved the guitar riff that's still playing on the car stereo at the end after everyone's dead! Thanks for the film memories!
This was a great episode, I remember this segment of Creepshow 2 it was very scary and memorable love your channel thank you.
Thank you Bro this is one of myball times favorite horror movies. The simplicity of this movie is the best ... kudos
It’s beautiful out there, glad to see it hasn’t been spoiled, if only that sign said no swimming...
That is now a historical site
Good. Do you know if it has a name? I’d like to read about it and if it’s been in any other movies
@@adamwatson2914 Do not know about the name or other movies
Granite Basin Lake in Prescott National Forest, looked it up lol
@@adamwatson2914 Thanks
Just excellent. Exactly like you. I remember very well specialy this chapter.
thanks for this. The raft was always one of my favorite King stories. Cool titles btw!
Slick is still under the ice waiting for the summer
yeah.. pretty awesome and obscure! Really cool it looks the same and wasn't on some backlot somewhere. Gonna have to go swimming there next summer.
I’ll go so far as to say I like The Raft segment more than anything in the first Creepshow (and I love Creepshow.) delightful video!
🤦🏼♂️
I remember being a kid on the weekends watching this! No school....great memories!!!
Jessica is lucky the lake is frozen...that thing is sleeping probably...😀
Man I bet that little lake is cold all year round...i bet those guys weren't joking around about it being cold must of been a difficult shoot...
Best Creepshow ever. Lived it! Thanks for finding, a real classic!
thanks for posting this brings back memories great scene
You two are living the dream mike and thanks for taking Us along
