Such a shame that Jackery doesn’t recognize that all companies should stand ready to hear all opinions, so they can make good changes and stay competitive. As I was researching, I noticed another company responded correctly when another reviewer noted some cons. The CEO recorded a short video stating that he appreciated the honest review and planned to get busy making improvements to assure the customer that they are interested in what the customer actually wants. A good opportunity for growth! ☺️

"As I was researching, I noticed another company responded correctly...", yet doesn't bother to let anyone know who the other 'company' is. Thus you are just as shameful as jackery.

Any company that will send you products with NO strings attached has total faith in what they're selling. I have respect for all companies that do that. Some companies take suggestions from reviews and integrate them in future products.

Hey, just an honest question why were you going to buy the Jacory to begin with if you have done your research? Or maybe you’re saying that you didn’t because of doing your research. But the Jacory is clearly inferior and I don’t know why they don’t just bring their product up the specs Every time I see a video and Somers got a Jacory and it used it not a review video but some of it on to Jackie I think why did they buy that? Why did they buy an Eco flow or a blue Eddie.

I recently bought a delta 2 and got some free solar panels when I was buying a smart panel for a job. Love it so far, have used it to run an Iceco AC/DC fridge in our Jeep, boat and bus. I have also used it to recharge some large 8 d batts and batts in diesel trucks as well as some weekends on the boat keeping 2 small fridges running. It’s nice to not worry about spoiled food or ice for drinks when it’s over 100 degrees, it charges quickly and Works great. the iPhone app… amazingly adjustable and is more useful then you would think .

Appreciate your candor and honesty as it pertains to Jackery. I own an Explorer 300 which has been great for 2-3 day camping trips with light needs but wanted something a bit beefier for longer trips and general home power backup during rare power outages. I was torn between the Delta 2 and the Jackery 1000 Pro. I was leaning Jackery until I saw how unprofessionally they conducted themselves with you. Makes you wonder how many schills are out there. I, for one, won’t be buying anything Jackery going forward. Thank you for sharing everything you experienced and your honest opinion.

I had been looking at a few backup battery systems and came across the EcoFlow Delta 2 and was sold for the LiPo4 battery. One thing that you didn't cover or mention is that the EcoFlow Delta 2 has an EPS (emergency power system), though not a true UPS, but after the lost of power it will switch over to the EPS in 30ms and for what I wanted, it was perfect. I have it connected to my pellet stove and wanted to be sure that it was running in the event that we lost power while we slept or out and about. Winters in New Hampshire is unforgiving at times.
Purchased the EcoFlow DELTA 2 and the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Smart Extra Battery and worked as it should.

Very informative review. Has helped me a lot. Looking to purchase a system for Motorhome , off grid use, by April 2023. So looking around a lot. Key for me is lifespan, want something to last over 10 years. Also noise... i use a cpap and oxygen so a noisy fan is a no. Comparing price per kw , these kind of batteries seem to be overly expensive compared to batteries for house solar systems ... whose prices are falling. Many thanks.

Good to know about the kind of company Jackery is, not that i would have ever bought any of their products simply because they continue to use the 20+ year old battery technology (because it offers a higher profit margin). Eco Flow has "seen the light" and are switching most of their product line over to LiFePO4, which is great for the consumer. Thanks for your honesty and going out of your way to talk about the positive things the Jackery has to offer. I hope your station prospers in the future!

One correction, if you plug into wall AND solar, the Jackery does not increase charging voltage. You are still getting 800 watts max, tho it will favor the solar over the AC input.

Thank you for sticking with an honest and unsponsored review.
The 3500 vs 1000 cycles is definitely the biggest advantage of the Ecoflow unit.
I was investigating these 2 recently and there are 4 details we should mention:
    - Full charging time in the Ecoflow is around 30 minute shorter (80 minutes vs 110 minutes)
    - In Jackery, charging solar + outlet doesnt't add up. When both are connected solar has priority. This was very likely a greener choice by the vendor (kudos for that) but having that configurable would be better
    - Ecoflow has an app which allows us to manage the unit remotely, if has access to wifi. Jackery does not
    - Jackery unit can also be used as an UPS (just like Ecoflow), but that is not announced properly

  • @viceversacn

Having LFP instead of NMC alone is a huge W for the Ecoflow in my opion. Let alone more many other features 😀.

I was a Jackery fanboy until my 2yr warranty ran out and just 3 months later my 1000 Explorer decided to just turn itself off and won't turn back on. It was fully charged when I plugged in my 37 qrt ARB fridge to ready for a camping trip. An hour later the unit had turned off and no amount of resets, attempted charging, etc.... it won't turn on.
I contacted Jackery to see if there is any after warranty support in the way of a repair facility that I could ship it to and have it repaired (on my dime). Nope, and doesn't look like they plan to bother. So, now I am holding a very lightly used pretty $1000 brick.
A five year warranty would have sufficed at this point as newer technology would most likely be available by then and worth an upgrade regardless if my Jackery was still running or not.
Currently chatting with other brands (including EcoFlow) regarding after warranty product support.
    Wish me luck!

Can I ask you why you chose the .Jackery to begin with an Eco flowI has always been a better unit even blue Eddie is better than the Jacory.

    • @insaynbcr
      @insaynbcr ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@joeglennaz Honestly, I hadn't heard of EcoFlow 2+ years ago. Jackery did an absolute brilliant move by jamming their products into every TH-cam channel that could possibly use a power unit like these. EcoFlow popped up later on in TH-cam channels, but I feel that they are still more selective as to who they sponsor on TH-cam.
Had EcoFlow been in my crosshairs in the beginning, and I were to do a cross compare between the two (and other) companies, Jackery would not have been so lucky with my money. I got 2 years, and a few months out of it before it decided to never turn back on. And after Jackery basically telling me to go kick rocks, I will not promote their product to anyone. I learned my lesson, and it only took one time.
Hopefully others that read this, heed my advice.

I have now a Jackery 2000 pro and the new Delta 2! In my opinion is the Delta 2 better as the Jackery 1000 pro but the Jackery has 3 pro points! 1. lower temperature loading. 2. quiter AC loading. 3. more Solar input.

The problem with the damn things is that for every good review there are bad reviews by people with nightmare stories about faulty products and terrible customer service… for all the brands I’ve been looking at- 😅 Bluetti Jackery and Ecoflow. Sometimes seems like a case of which quicksand you want to dive into.

Another great video and as I said b4 I went with the eccoflow delta 2 myself because I liked its features and the ability to use the app, and the battery chemistry. I also like my anker powerhouse 757 witch is a good unit too with similar features and the same battery chemistry although it's alot heavier at 45 pounds.

@@DownGridSurvival yes the anker 757 is a good unit with 13 total outlets,a nice display that tells you all the information you need to know and 2 carry handles on the side to move it around. Like I said it is very heavy at around 45 pounds and doesn't have a app to use with it. They just announced the powerhouse 767 a few days ago witch is over 2,000 whatt hour, has wheels and a handle to roll it around with and it has a app to use with it too but they haven't announced the price tag for it yet though said it should be available to preorder around November. If you do get one of the 2 units and do a review on them ill definitely check it out.

This type of “power supply” has been of interest to me for a while now but I don’t have an immediate use for one thus I’ve not purchased one. Let the technology improve with time…
Yes Jackery is a big name with this type of product. But because of their behind the curtain shenanigans I’d never buy one of their products, I won’t endorse them, and I’ll spread the word about how they want to write the “review”…
I did go back and way your previous video from a month ago and I’ve also subscribed to your channel. No I’m not a “prepper” I’m just interested in the type of products you’re reviewing.

TH-cam requires them to disclose if they received free product, I wouldn’t get too caught up in these companies and what they do. I do appreciate you said what you experienced.
Also, could you include where the product is manufactured? I like buying USA made products and not Chinese. Well any country but China is preferable.

Jackery seems to have some issues. For a short while you could order Jackery through Canadian Tire in Canada. You couldn't buy it in-store but you could order one in. Then suddenly after a few weeks it wasn't available. That made me wonder about them and I chose the Ecoflow. Glad I did. I don't know what the issue was but for a huge company like Canadian Tire to cancel their contract, it would have be pretty serious I would think.

    Two things....
    1) SPEED OF CHARGE is everything in any power emergency! That's the game changer.
    2) Be wary of using any solar generator wifi app! Those apps can be hacked and your solar generator is vulnerable to disabling, damage or being fried.
Good deal for telling Jackery to go get buffed. Your picture's on the piano!! 👍😀👍
