    Pushing the envelope of lightness. A fellow modeler once said "If you don't fold a wing every now and then..how do you know if you're building too heavy."..?

    NIce stable landing with the added stability of the dihedral. : )

    Great control after the snap. Beautiful landing. I'm just getting back into the hobby after several decades absence. Still working on my building skills and aerobatics.

    Knew a guy with an 'Aires' (I think) that had an I beam spar which cracked one day allowing the wing to flex a little. Was deemed too hard to fix so built another stunter, but continued to fly the Aires to see what would happen. Competed for another two years before it failed in a reverse wingover.

      The stress on the wing of models is very high and any structural weakness will show up in time .

      I knew a guy with an Ares who flew it with a broken spar for several years, but had to stop because at one contest *the appearance judges refused to pick it up for fear of breaking it*. Only the covering was holding it together.

      @@willddavis Yes, a lot of people do not appreciate the degree to which the cornering loads everything. Used to be, with 4-2 break engines, you really couldn't put a lot of load on it because if you turned too hard, the speed would drop, reducing the peak load. As soon as we go ST60s, and much worse, tuned pipe engines, we have had a spate of folded wings. The extra cornering exposed the weaknesses of the traditional construction methods.Now, you have to build them like tanks if you expect them to last very long.

    I didn't know control line used dihedral. Mine had wing mounted gear and snapped on a perfect landing,

    I see the artistry and finesse in control line flying...but I'll never appreciate it. Just not for me...like buttermilk. Great job on the recovery!

    Magnifique
    it possible to achieve a flight time of 15 minutes with a brusheless motor ?

      @brettbuck7362 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, with a giant battery. These go 5:45 or so, that is all that is required, and typically use something like a 6S2800 or 6S3000.

    glad he did not re-kit that plane completely.

    Problème structurel apparemment longeron , ou peut être fisfures de fatigue si le model
    Et vieux .....?

    We could have heard the engine and wing snap much better without unnecessary music.
