      Yes, autumn is one of the most beautiful times to hike in Switzerland and the weather is not too warm as well. Tip: You might want to consider heading to Oeschinensee at Kandersteg (also near Interlaken), it is one of the most gorgeous hiking spots in Switzerland.

    planning a visit for Switzerland. I am glad you mentioned that there won't be much snow on the Glacier Express because it's not winter, I do want to take a scenic train ride in Switzerland so looking into another option. I'd also like to see Jungfrau, First Stoos Ridge, First Cliff Walk, take a boat ride from Brent to Interlaken. I will be there for 6 nights, 7 days, so I don't have a lot of time there, but still want to make the most of it.

    Hi Olivia! Sadly I chanced upon your channel only after I planned a trip to Switzerland in Nov next year. (BTW I have liked and subscribed!) You mentioned nov is likely the worst period to visit due to rain and many outdoor activities are not operating. However there is short you did on what to do in nov (looks similar to oct). I am wondering if i should shift my trip to sept (at least the glacier express will be running too). I do want to see autumm colours and visit the mountains though wont be skiing nor hiking. Rain is a deal breaker and will be a shame. Will be visiting for 2 weeks. Should i shift my dates to september? (Airfare redemption availability is much lower). Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    • @Olliechinny
      @Olliechinny  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Please do not come in November it will be such a shame. It’s much better to change ur trip to September and there are a lot more harvest activities going on, and u will def deal with less rain. The November reel I did featured the VERY RARE pockets of the month when the weather was good and also more indoor activities.if u are visiting for two weeks, half of ur time will be drenched in rain.

      It’s not expensive considering it’s for 3 couples and over 7 days. Each couple is only paying £1200 which averages out to £85 per day per person.
      If you only get one base: for the places u appear to be visiting I think u will end up doing very long daytrips and wasting ur time on transportation back and forth (Lucerne to Zermatt is very far by the way) so not advised.
      If you like more travel tips and recommendations considering booking a consultation www.Buymeacoffee.com/olliechinny and I can look through ur itinerary and give advice.

    Is April right time to visit if we want to see Lush green valleys as well as do snow activities.. Me and my wife would be visiting on 14th to 22nd April

    • @Olliechinny
      @Olliechinny  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately it’s not a very good time for both! Winter activities end by Easter Sunday (next week) for most mountains which then close for maintenance, unless you go to mountains with year round snowing like Zermatt, Saas Fee etc. as for lush green valleys, since this is transition season, the trees are still growing. I feel that May would be a better time.

      @@Olliechinny By snow activities I mean Cable cars, skiing that generally happen on Mt Titlis.... And in some videos we saw lush green valleys in Interlaken, Lucerne and grindelwald.though i understand it's less green compared to June and July... unfortunately our tickets are booked now.. we want to try to get maximum of whatever we can do ...

    Hi, I’m from Mendrisio and I DO NOT RECOMMEND visiting Ticino during August, on the average week you get five days of hell (35-40 degrees Celsius) and two of hail…
    If you plan to visiting Switzerland including Ticino, the best months are May, June and September.
    Also if you visit Ticino don’t sleep over the Mendrisio area (Mendrisiotto) and check the two best Mountain Views over the Lake Lugano gulf of Monte San Giorgio and Monte Generoso.
    The local wine production and gastronomy are also well renowned in the country. 😉

    • @Olliechinny
      @Olliechinny  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did my trip to Ticino in August two years back and the weather was perfect, hence my suggestion but of course we should trust your local advice!
      I am heading back this year and will definitely cover the Mendrisio area! Thank you 🙏

    • @lucasstocker5055
      @lucasstocker5055 ปีที่แล้ว

      The temperature in northern Ticino is way better in August, from north and south of Monte Ceneri can vary a lot but anyway if you spend a couple of day alongside a lake should be fine everywhere.
      Also medium and small towns turn into ghost towns cause people go elsewhere so it’s really quiet. 👍
