I loved the rain at the beginning, brings a melancholic romance of the 'end of season' in the film Death in Venice. And that autumnal trees at the entrance... marvelous! Happy for you the clean weather at the end.
The limo driver apologized for the rain and I, too, was put off at first, and then... bam (as we love to say it nowadays haha) it simply rendered the lake and everything else romantic and melancholic and beautiful...how could you not love that - so you're right 😊. Had to google the movie - was it that good? Yes, I was also happy at the end as well when it finally stopped. Even concierge was publicly relieved.
VILLA d' Esta is the Best!!!! The gardens are magnificent! Spent some time there on Lake Como and the hotel couldn't due enough for us. Pure Heaven.....🤗

There is no better place on Earth than Lake Como with my favourite Italian restaurant, and I might add also one of George and Amals ( as in Clooney) , Il Gatto Nero, located high on the hill above Cernobbio. Great food, amazing view, wonderful service. Frequented by guests from Villa d’Este. P.S. your video makes me very happy too ❤️🇮🇹

Really beautiful and elegant old worlde hotel and great to see some footage of the town. Your Junior suite looked really nice. I had a Junior suite when I stayed at Villa d'Este but it was on the side overlooking the gardens. Yours had a magnificent view overlooking the lake. I was there in August, if this was filmed in the last couple of weeks it must have been colder. I bet you didn't use the pool. It rained a lot when I was there too, I wonder if Lake Como gets a lot of rain. The thing that struck me about Villa d'Este was how large it was. I recall the Sports Centre even had Squash courts. Great to see you looking so happy at 37:50. You're a beautiful woman.
It sure rains a lot in that region - I think that explains the lush green surrounding. Villa d'Este is huge... wish my stay was longer so I could really explore. Thank you for being so sweet :) Lovely to see you again!

I thought I'd get rained out the entire time too...it wasn't a long stay...lucky us the last couple days everyone there at the hotel signed a big relief (staff included haha) when the sun finally came out. Still, I think rain has its own cool atmosphere. I had fun, thank you Charlie...you're the sweestest!
Beautiful video, thank you for sharing Alexis! Villa d'Este and Lake Como are stunning! Your suite with balcony view on Lake Como is so dreamy and romantic. I would love to experience it and do some shopping in the area you showed with all the designer brand stores. 😍 The Piazza Duomo restaurant terrasse is so chic and perfect for lunch but the Ceasar salad looked so small, for 17 euros I'd expect more lettuce! 😂 A bit overpriced but that's always the case at touristy restaurants like these isn't it. Oh well, at least you got to do some people watching! ❤️🇮🇹
Yes, I love people watching. And I actually expected a bit more chicken, so I see where you're coming from. The receipt says it all: we're paying for the whole deal of Food (tasty pizza, okay chicken), Ambience (nice decor), and Views (can't beat that people watching/charming cathedral combo) so I'm fine with the price. Apparently you have great sense of style Sportive&Riche...those clothes in the shops were gorgeous! 🤩

I hope you did not miss the little silk shop near the cathedral in Como and treated yourself to a nice scarf... also the beautiful town of Bellagio (the real one) right on the other side of the lake and the Como- Brunate funicular.... if you missed them you should go back for more videos ... all beautiful.
Oh Alexis, please excuse my tardy response. I wanted to make sure I could fully appreciate this location because it is top of list for me. First, you had me at pineapple martini! Wonderful start to the trip, IMO. The entrance to the resort just tells you it’s going to be magical…rain or wind be damned. The Italian marble in the restroom was stunning, right? Also the micro greens/edible flowers around your foie gras looked amazing! So delicate. The always classic flap and Rolex. So elegant. And finally the lovely stroll through a few towns and a delicious passion fruit as a finale. Thanks, as always, for sharing your luxurious travels!

I hope you did not miss the little silk shop near the cathedral in Como and treated yourself to a nice scarf... also the beautiful town of Bellagio (the real one) right on the other side of the lake and the Como- Brunate funicular.... if you missed them you should go back for more videos ... all beautiful.

Oh Alexis, please excuse my tardy response. I wanted to make sure I could fully appreciate this location because it is top of list for me. First, you had me at pineapple martini! Wonderful start to the trip, IMO. The entrance to the resort just tells you it’s going to be magical…rain or wind be damned. The Italian marble in the restroom was stunning, right? Also the micro greens/edible flowers around your foie gras looked amazing! So delicate. The always classic flap and Rolex. So elegant. And finally the lovely stroll through a few towns and a delicious passion fruit as a finale. Thanks, as always, for sharing your luxurious travels!

And oh, that's my beloved nofuss nomuss Swish-made Movado. The marble was ridiculously luxurious and brought me such thrill - love the Milano hotel "Excelsior Galleria" for same reason (see my older video) Lovely to have you here, always!

@@alexisluxurytravels1 oh it was so much fun. Im a hobby photographer, so I got a lot of good shots. Had great food and the weather was great, just a little gambling. Also rode the High Roller obsevation wheel. Not sure i could do the zipline though. Cant wait to go back
