Helen,Lately ALL of my illustrator repeats have white lines.A months worth of work is destroyed.I redid everything only to discover the lines were still there.I'm exporting to .png with anti alias.art optimized checked.I even check them with preferences-general anti alias.Looks good there, but when I create the pattern fill in .png they ALL have a nice ugly line. Can you tell me what's up.I even lock the background in illustrator when I'm working and that doesn't help.
Good ideas Lori, these are all good options for getting rid of fracture lines, i.e. those lines that move around when the pattern is scaled. In this case, because the lines don't move it's a problem with the pattern swatch itself.
i tried this pattern and is not working. when i filled the artboard with the swatch that we created. It fills with set of 5 dimonds through out artboard. Unlike your pattern which fills the entire artboard. what mistake am i doing . Please point out.
Make sure your rectangle has no fill and no stroke and that is it behind every other object in that layer - that is most likely the problem. If you still have problems you can email me your file and I will look at it for you - send it to helen (at) helenbradley (dot) com

Please check your rectangle - it should have no stroke and no fill and it MUST be behind EVERYTHING! I hope this helps?
when i draw a rectangle it shows as path in my layers panel, but for you it shows as rectangle. Why is it so ?
