Dude! The first 15 minutes of this video explained more than the entire course I did on LinkedIn Learning. I learn better with examples of what I am actually trying to do. Thank you so much.
It's really difficult to design in sketchup, starting with face frames. Also if your new at this, pay close attention to which plane your creating objects on, use the zoom and reorientate your view so you can be sure where exactly your attaching lines or rectangles too..
At 23:37, it appears that you edit the dimensions of a component after it was already created. How? Is this feature available in the "free" online version of Sketchup? Because for the life of me, I cannot figure out how you did this magic.
Really enjoyed this presentation -- thanks so much. Are you using the pro version? Can't seem to find some of the stuff in free version. Also, might I humbly suggest a different location for your face window in future videos because it covers the top of the right menu which can make some things hard to see. Maybe lower left? Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it! We have new tutorials on home building and design every week, and should have more SketchUp tutorials soon. All the sketchups videos seem to use rectangle tool, seems to me line/pencil tool is the way to go. Thank you for the informative video.
