the only reason I know about Puma is because he was in the black suit saga of the comics as a cursed billionaire that can change from human form to the puma form you see in the game, and his major contribution was him thinking that Spider-Man's webs were organic since Peter was wearing the black suit at the time which made webs itself, which was actually a big plotpoint since that realisation is what helped Spidey beat Venom for the first time

I found out about it when I was perusing the strategy guide at a Blockbuster. I saw two levels I didn't recognize and it said "if you don't have this on X-Box, skip to the Razorbat level". I was PISSED.
Have you ever considered talking about the N64 Spider-Man, the first movie game, and the real Spider-Man 2 game more in depth, I'm interested in hearing more of your thoughts on them. Also, there was actually another Spider-Man game between the N64 game and the first movie game. It was called Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro, and was basically a followup to the N64 game. However, it was PS1 exclusive, so I'm not sure if you'd be able to play it.
I've thought about it; I haven't jumped in because I don't know if I'll have much to say on them. But I can try. I know Enter Electro exists, but I can't play it since it skipped the N64
@@Darklordjadow1 Yeah I figured. It's basically more of the first game just with some tweaks to the gameplay and slightly more open levels. It's probably best known for being one of several games that had to be modified due to the 9/11 attacks, because the last level originally took place on the Twin Towers, which was changed to put a bridge between them and removing some of the defining features they had. Interestingly, copies of the original version do exist, but they're extremely rare, and only recently have ROMs of it appeared online.
What i find sad is that Amaze entratainement is capable of making good stuff and ironically most of their good stuff was attached to IPS with mixed reception, such as the 2 portable RPGs based upon the horrible movie adaptation of the book series ERAGON and the DS port of Crash of the Titans, the reboot no crash fan liked even if the combat mechanics had some miniscule depth.
Spiderman 64/2000 kicked ass back then, kicks ass right now Ehhh, I saw this when I was younger and was unimpressed. 12:43 saved me having to ask if you know about Kraven being exclusive to the Xbox version of SM1
Interestingly, copies of the original version do exist, but they're extremely rare, and only recently have ROMs of it appeared online.
wow, the snyder cut of the train scene is horrible, like i didnt see that coming
When are you planning on uploading your two-part retrospective on the 3D Sonic games.
This is a nice Saturday surprise
The takeaway I got from this review:
You wanna play Spider-Man 2 on PC? Just emulate the console version.
Spiderman 64/2000 kicked ass back then, kicks ass right now
Ehhh, I saw this when I was younger and was unimpressed. Spiderman 2 PC has only one thing in common with the bigger ports and that's Mysterios stage being visually Obscure but it's also the only highlight from what I seen
Also good to see you flexing that editing skills in this review adds a whole new level of depth of the game and it's past-game comparisons
SURF THE WEB
I was scrolling down to make a Zack Snyder joke about that train scene when you made the joke yourself
I expected an Incredibles joke, as both movies involve the main heroes trying to stop a train.
Good thing we got Insomniac to thank for coming close to Spiderman 2's legacy
I would say they surpassed Spider-Man 2
@@Jasonvoorhees57469 I would say they didn't.
Insomniac's is a lot better.
You should review Rango on wii
This shit was my childhood
This is hardly the only multiplatform title where the PC version is both completely different and far worse. Battle for Bikini Bottom on PC is a point-and-click adventure game instead of a 3D platformer, and 007 Nightfire is made by Gearbox instead and blows chunks.
I feel like the first two times you brought up the Activision Drama was a little forced. Don't get me wrong, I loved when you said "Art imitates life" was pretty clever. I defended Activision on my channel before, I may need to make a video talking about the lawsuit.
I remember being so pissed when I bought this game and they had the stupid web targets for swinging lol!
1:30 that is gonna be me whenever you start a review of something infamously bad, or review another superman game, if their are anymore for you to review
The only remaining hi def Superman game I'm aware of is Superman: Man of Steel on the XBox... not backwards compatible with the 360. So there's one more... don't know if I'll get to it.
What’s going on with Activision?
A lawsuit by thousands of female employees has been filed for metric fuckloads of sexual harrassment, discrimination of a sexual nature, bullying to the point one female employee took her own life; the list goes on and on and I'm not really qualified to dig into it.
@@Darklordjadow1 Holy crap. I knew Activision was a horrible company. But geez.
Spider-Man 2 on PSP next. I don't care if you have to emulate.
Hello DLJ, I am a big fan of you, would you like to make a review on a game I am working on?
Imagine if Marvel’s Spider-Man also had a PC release alongside the PS4 version but they had it developed by a much less competent dev instead of Insomniac like what SM2 suffered
Imagine if Sony gave the PC port to Digital Homicide...
Can you review monster hunter stories 2 wings of ruin?
12:11 so... what happens in that comic exactly?...
Aunt May is biologically Peter's mum
Those damn burns on Activision and their disgusting stupidity
And I did had this game as a kid as it was one of those random pirated pc games that we owned back then, although I get the feeling that it may have been a demo. Only played it a few times and that was it.
More Spider-man game reviews... yeeyaa
When the train derailed I died of laughter.
Have you ever considered reviewing the n64 game or first movie game?
The game still has Bruce Campbell unlike the psp version :)
i played the demo of this years ago, and ehhh, but i might be the only person on the planet who calls spiderman 2 (actual version) overrated, okay hear me out, i will admit the open world is the best feature, but i hate the web swinging that required you to swing from something (especially with the boat rescues and statue of mystero level) the boss fights with doc ock where some of the most infuriating levels i ever played, that fucking balloon was annoying, i get so many people like the game but i have different tastes, and besides spiderman ps4 outclassed all the things spiderman 2 did well
Question, what's the joke at 12:12? I'm really curious.
That comic is Trouble: a 5-issue miniseries chronicling how Aunt May, Uncle Ben, and Spider-Man's parents met... as horny teenagers working summer jobs at a hotel where they cheat on each other and it turns out Aunt May is Spider-Man's biological mother.
@@Darklordjadow1 Oh........ok, I get it now.
Oh yes!
Can you review the first game?
Ok I see you Followed up with the comic I mention last time cool
will you still be doing a review on the console version of this game?
I know the game is shitty, but damn... Childhood. Still playing (mostly modding the game into a unfunny meme)
Do you like Gunstar Heroes?
19:51 Naw, needs more slo-mo and the colors would need to be completely desaturated and the aspect ratio would need to be 4:3 in order for it to be considered 100% Zack Snyder.
Though the casual, careless collateral damage indirectly caused by the main hero is on point.
i thought i'm the only one having a grudge with this game back then
You're not; I've been getting requests for this game for years.
