For the regular K mini Keurig, you have to push the kcup holder from the bottom to be able to pop it off of the brewer. Once it pops off you can place the my kcup universal onto it.
I just purchased the K-KUP Reusable Filter and was so confused by the instructions, I was going to return it. Then I found this TH-cam video! The instructions are very clear and each step is there in front of you. He answered every question I had before I could ask! It's great. Now I can try this in my K-Cup Mini. Thanks.

Great video,, thanks! I do know that the gray handle on the reusable K-cup is to be used in the newer Keurig that have "plus" in the model name. I had the K-Supreme plus at one point and the gray handle had to be used.

It's a nice filter better then the cheep ones.i notices alot don't get all the coffie as in it makes a watery coffie.this filter makes a good clean cup of coffie❤ thank you for your help!
The instructions even the label on the product is very long and not right. And that's why so many people can't figure out how to use the thing properly however once mastered, it is a wonderful cup of coffee although I wish it was all metal. Thank you for this video. I have the same machine as you and I could not get the reusable filter to work, until you pointed out the gray piece is not needed. Once I followed your directions, it worked! It is confusing with that extra grey piece that comes with the reusable filter because it wouldn't fit inside the machine and I was struggling with how to make this thing work!
I have a Keurig K-Mini that I got from someone else so it was not in the original box, It worked with the regular Keurig pods and the K-cup holder. When I tried a fillable pod, it would not work with the standard K-cup holder. I had to spend a lot of time searching to find that the I needed to remove the standard K-cup holder and I also needed an adapter like the Universal My-K-Cup to use with a refillable pod. This video, and a one other, explained it well. Thank you. I also saw a video that the Keurig K-Mini has the single needle and the original universal refillable adaptor was better with a single hole instead of the new one that has the 5 holes on top. The complaint was that the red gasket can be difficult to remove for cleaning and refit.
Very good & thorough description & instructions. I've used the universal K cup for a few years now in the original Keurig. Buying the new K Mini & I keep seeing people comment the universal K cup doesn't work. So I wanted to make sure it does & here's your video showing that it does. Agree not all of those K cups are the same so good explanation on the harder plastic & why it can be inferior.

I was able to get some coffee and it was way stronger than the k cups disposable. Definitely about to buy this on Amazon for a better flow with my ground coffee. Thank you! I have the same machine! Instead of tossing the grounds into the trash, I recommend adding to your compost. If you have "green" pickup at your residence, it can be included with your yard waste along with all of your banana peels, avocado pits, grape stems, etc.
Hey, Thanks for the instruction! I haven't yet purchased the Keurig brand k-cup because I thought it was a little $$, but I might now. Tired of limping along with my old reusable i-coffee k-kups that are falling to pieces. It's a little crazy, though, how many pieces the Keurig brand has. I generally do 3- 8 oz cups, so like to have 3 k-cups on hand, but I think I'll try doing 12 oz as you did. Maybe I won't need 24 oz of coffee/ day if it brews is a bit stronger, haha.

3 things…. 1. Better than a paper clip try flossing, I use the G.U.M Proxabrush go-betweens cleaners (for healthy gums) 2. Love the RED Brita and Starbuck cup … just like our kitchen, felt right at home. 3. Excellent vid! Thank you
I appreciate this! So much easier to follow than the two sets of instructions. Question - do we need to run a cleaning cycle / brew after making a cup of coffee using the My k-cup just like you would after using a regular k-cup?
I read the instructions and no-go - that is why I am here - LOL - but I have K-Mini - not a Plus - and I just want to point out that, even though the colors are cute in the K-Mini - the K-Mini PLUS has the extra button for strong coffee and you really need it. Your video helped a LOT because I could see I was doing it correctly but the top filter thing does not tightly fit on the gray basket and then it loosely fits into the Keurig so when it makes the coffee it splurches all over the cup and so you have to use a wide mouth cup or it is all over.
So is it necessary to buy the reusable k-cup you have or can I use my reusable k-cup that I used in my original Keurig? It seems to fit fine but wasn’t sure if the holes and the red thing made a difference 🤷🏼♀️
Hi, yeah as far as I can tell the holes and red rubber stopper enables the pressure build up required for the coffee to brew. One time, I forgot to affix the red stopper back carefully and it came loose and coffee sprayed out the top and got everywhere. That's when I realized it helps contains and maximizes whatever pressure is needed to brew the grounds into a nice hot cup.

I figured out the way you described but the inside and underside of the machine is FILTHY and so hard to get inside to clean. Mine is white so it's very noticeable. Are we sure this is the "right" way? If so, how are you cleaning it?
So the difference is its cleaner if you can take out the part already in the bigger kurigs .when I took out the black peice that's already in the kurig it was gross.s9 now after I took it out and put that new thing in my coffie was so good!but why so expensive lol whats the big deal if you don't need too take out the big black part that already went too the machine?

Hi Johnny it is still working flawlessly. I've used it once a day during the weekday for a morning brew and twice on weekends if I'm home all day.
Mine works 2/3 of the time…1/3 of the time the water doesn’t heat up & dispenses cold water!
