@@sohanuikey3862 Nowhere In the video they called him, Abdul Wahhab. They either said Muhammad Ibn Abd Al-Wahab or IBN Abd-Al-Wahab. Besides Hanafi or Hanbali is not a sect. It is a school of Fiqh. A teaching founded by our four great Imams who the Salafis reject, saying "we don't do taqleed" when they do taqleed of Imam Al-Albani. Taqleed is necessary to be student, and almost every Salafi sheikh says he is a student of knowledge. And then they contradict themselves by saying taqleed is haram and everyone should just follow whichever fatwa they are presented. The Saudi Salafiyya group has a methodology which is messed up and everyone know that, even though they hide under their "Qur'an and Sunnah''. How can you understand Qur'an or Sunnah without a proper person teaching you. The only way the teacher will teach you is when you listen to him with full attention and meaning. But Oh No Taqleed is Haram Saudis say. There are Wallahi things wrong with this methodology.

You guys do BLIND FOLLOWING of 4 Imams....while they themselves said dont take our rulings if you dont understand where we got our evidence from, if our fatwa contradict a sahih Hadith throw it against the wall, etc etc No Salafi blind follows Sheikh Albani - we respect him and his knowledge just like we do the 4 imams but difference is if you bring us proof/hadith that Albani was wrong we will agree with you, but Taqleedi blind followers cant do that because...they are just blind following. In the begining this wasnt such a big issue except after few hundred years the 4 imams got enshrined into "schools" and you end up blind following a student, of a student, of a student, of a student of Imam abu Hanifa. Your distance from the original source (the evidence/hadith that the Imam used to derive his ruling) is so tremendous that now you are following something totally at odds with what Rasulallah (saw) and His Sahaba (ra) were upon because your modern day imam told you to....and you see the original Islam as "wahabism". Salafism isnt bringing anything new, its just going back to basics, to purify the deen from the cultural garbage that built up over time.
@Yusuf Isa Grave worship is very real. I have seen it with my own eyes. There are 1000s of videos on youtube showing it. There are people who make sujood to graves and call upon the inhabitants thinking they are getting blessing when this was the essence of the Shirk the Prophet (saw) came to stop. The Prophet (saw) forbade building over the graves, go look at any sufi or shia city and you will see large tombs and find many examples of people calling upon the dead. This is the kind of Shirk and cultural garbage that made the Muslims weak, Allahs help stopped coming and we are seeing the result, how can you expect Allahs help when your devotion and prayers are for other than Allah? When you were commanded to Only worship Allah.

Over 80% of what has been mentioned in this video is false. Maybe the parts that Yasir Qadhi mentioned were accurate but most of this video was inappropriate and inaccurate. All great Sunni Ulama agree that it is haram to build shrines over graves and to introduce innovations into the religion. So it is a little rich to say these are Wahabi teachings. TRT needs to stop this lame reporting. We need to be more mature if we want to unite the Ummah. If you want to make an academic video then invite Ulama and set up a dialogue or debate. This isn't the right way to report on issues. Don't muddy the waters. Fear Allah!

Salafism is rooted in Wahhabism, which was founded by Ibn Abdul Wahhab of Najdi. He developed his own ideas on Islam and began to resent the common Orthodox practices of Muslims of his time which included celebrating Mawlid (birth of the holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi waalihi wasallam) , visiting shrines of Sufi Awliya (holy men), seeking a means to Allah (waseela), and considering Allah to be present in his creation as the soul is present in the body (omnipresence of Allah, Wahdat ul Wujhood, best represented by the name of Allah, Al-Wasi). Ibn Abdul Wahhab claimed Allah has the body of a man, is sitting on his throne as a man sits and all forms of devotion to holy men is shirk (polytheism). This was not the understanding of the Muslim scholars throughout the Muslim world and they regarded him as a deviant and liar (Muslim scholars at the time believed Allah was 1 and he is known through his creation and his attributes are manifest through them, therefore veneration of holy men is veneration to Allah as Allah is with his beloved creation as the soul is with the body). Ibn Abdul Wahhab allied himself with a local ruler of Najd and their tribe (the Saud tribe). They attacked Taif, Makkah and Karbala and did massacres of Orthodox Sunni Muslims. The Ottomans defeated them (at the Ottoman-Wahhabi War c. 1818) and they remained a weak force until the fall of the Ottoman Empire and British support. According to the Ottomans, Salafism/Wahhabism was a British ploy to spread a Protestant version of Islam to divide the Muslims as Europe was divided on Catholic-Protestant lines. If this is the case, it certainly worked very well. Some say Salafism originated in Egypt in the 19th century, but this is not the case. The thinkers of Egypt in the early 19th century used the beliefs developed in Najd in the 18th century. Reasons for this is a whole other topic in itself.

As from Bangladesh we also get some test of this. Many of our scholars as we also call them "Hujur" does more dis track than rappers against society, than preaching values like good behaviour and things like that in public speaking.
It is simple for them our way is the only way of islam and if you go against our way. You are on the way of islam.

As a Bangladeshi, I feel your pain as I was in the same position. For me, I even stopped listening to any speeches from our Hujurs and started listening to Zakir Naik, Omar Sulaiman, Nauman Ali Khan, Imran Nazar Hossein, or whoever seemed good.
After years I came across a Shaikh while searching for Madhab. His point of view blew my mind. You must know him D. Khandakar Abdullah Jahangir, he was a professor at Islamic University, Kustia. His education is from Saudi and many people call him Wahabi. I never believed in any sects and Alhamdulillah his lectures or speeches never made me think I need one.
Above it was my personal experience. His lectures cleared lots of my doubts and take me close to Deen. You can give it a try to listen to him. Success will be for those who are good/practicing Muslims nothing else.

It is obligatory upon the Muslim to follow the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), according to the way of the righteous salaf who followed the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), the Sahaabah and those who followed them - may Allaah be pleased with them all. These people are called Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah (the People of the Sunnah and the Community). Everyone who follows the way brought by the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is one of them. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) brought the message of Tawheed (absolute Oneness of Allaah) and rejection of shirk (polytheism, or association of others with Allaah); he called people to worship Allaah alone and none other. With regard to the word “Wahhaabis”, some people use this word to refer to the message of Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhaab ibn Sulaymaan al-Tameemi al-Hanbali (may Allaah have mercy on him), and they call him and his followers Wahhaabis. Everyone who has any knowledge of the movement of Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhaab (may Allaah have mercy on him) and his message knows that he sought to spread the message of pure Tawheed and to warn against shirk in all its forms, such as attachment to the dead, or to trees and rocks, etc. In his ‘aqeedah (belief), he was following the way of the righteous Salaf and the Taabi’een [i.e., the earliest generations of Islam], as is indicated by his books and fatwas, and the books of his followers among his sons and grandsons and others. All of these books are in print and are in circulation among the people. His message was in accordance with the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Wahhaabism is not a new way or a new school of thought; rather it is a call to Tawheed and the revival of aspects of the religion that had been forgotten. What you have to do is to beware of those who warn you against the Wahhaabis, because they are warning you against following the truth and the early generation of this ummah. Applying the word “Wahhaabis” to those who adhere to correct belief and warning people against them is the way of the ignorant and biased. We ask Allaah to keep you safe and sound.

Some call it Wahabi. And in Pakistan India and Bangladesh call it ahly hadees also. Although there are some different things between both of them. But almost ideology of all of them is same. They are the one of the most extreme sect in Sunni Muslims. Because they just use name of Quran and hadees. But sometimes they don’t understand the Islam deeply. I am happy to follow my hanafi sect which is the biggest and deepest sect in all umma.

I really appreciated TRT and the efforts of Erdogan. But this video is a biased video . I don't know the one who made this report even understands Islam and its faith . What Abdul wahhab did was the revival of the deen based on the true teachings of quran and sunnah . Everyone who has any knowledge of the movement of Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhaab (may Allaah have mercy on him) and his message knows that he sought to spread the message of pure Tawheed and to warn against shirk in all its forms, such as attachment to the dead, or to trees and rocks, etc. In his ‘aqeedah (belief), he was following the way of the righteous Salaf and the Taabi’een [i.e., the earliest generations of Islam], as is indicated by his books and fatwas, and the books of his followers among his sons and grandsons and others. Shaykh’s name was Muhammad, the attributive of which is Muhammadi. The word Wahhabi is the attributive derived from al-Wahhaab (the Bestower), who is Allaah, as He says

Anyone who examines these claims will realize for sure that they are all lies and fabrications. The books of the Shaykh which are widely circulated bear the greatest witness to that, If you want to know more details about this and to clarify the matter, you should read the book Da’aawa al-Manaawi’een li Da’wah al-Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhaab by Dr ‘Abd al-‘Azeez al-‘Abd al-Lateef, which will answer all your questions, if Allaah wills.

The Muslim is obliged to accept the teachings of Islam, and act upon them. When he hears of some word or deed which is based on evidence (daleel) from the Qur’aan or Sunnah, then he has to accept it and give it priority over anything else. He should check what people say against the evidence of sharee’ah, and only accept those views which are in accordance with that evidence. It is known that Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Al-Wahhaab (may Allaah have mercy on him) called people to Tawheed and he wrote his famous book on that topic which is called Kitaab al-Tawheed. In this book he limited himself to quoting only the clear evidence from the verses of the Qur’aan and the saheeh ahaadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Commentaries on this book were written by his grandson ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Hasan and other scholars. Hence none of his opponents can refute this book or claim that his evidence is false. They fabricated lies and believed them, so they believed that he was misguided. They gave the same label to the scholars of the Muslims such as Shaykh Ibn Baaz and Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on them both). It is known that the shaykhs whom we have mentioned did not deviate from the correct view with regard to beliefs and actions; they followed the same path as the Sahaabah and Taabi’een, the four imaams, the authors of the Six Books and others. Those who do not acknowledge them do that either out of ignorance, blind imitation of others, jealousy, stubbornness or following their own whims and desires, or adherence to traditions, bid’ah (innovation) and evil actions that go against the evidence (of sharee’ah). Earlier and later scholars have proven such people to be wrong. So we must follow the evidence and give it priority over the views of all people.

In Indian subcontinent Ismail dehalvi was the first who went to hajj and returned back influenced with ibn abdul wahabs ideology .He translated ibn abdul wahabs" tahamai tauheed" into urdu and named it as "taqweeatul iman" whose thousands of copies were published and distributed at the expense of british Govt of India so as to create schism within muslims. Ismail dehlvi along with a hard core wahabi syed ahmed barelvi(of Rai Bareilly) were the first to bring wahabism into Indopak subcontinent. ismail influenced Qasim nanotvi who established madarsa e deoband with english aid. then the deobandi scholars like ashraf ali thanvi,Rashid Gangohi ,abdul majid daryabadi etc published blaspehmies in their books writing derogatory statements about prophet Muhammad (SalAllahu alaihi wasallam). the first man to counter wahabism in india was maulana fazl e haq khairabadi who wrote a pamphlet and gave fatwa of kufr against wahabis for disrespecting Our beloved Prophet Muhammad(SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam).In the great uprising of 1857 against British empire in India allama fazl e haq gave a fatwa of jihad against british and actively participated in mobilzing muslims against english . after the revolt was subdued Allama was arrested, put to trial and sentenced to death at kalapani cellular jail(Andaman &Nicobar Islands). Allama was executed in jail.
thereafter a sunni sufi scholarly giant of pashtun origin called as Imam Ahmed raza Barelvi( of Bareilly) took the resistance against wahabism and deobandism to the next level .He issued fatwa of kufr against deobandi elders and wahabis of his time and Ahmadiya(Mirzayi) people and published his book "Tamheed e eman" in refutation of these new sects. He demanded from deobandis to retract from disrespectful statements which they wrote in their books against Prophet Muhammad(SalAllahu Alaihi wasallam) . Deobandis neither repented not removed blasphemous material from their publications and claimed that they are true hanafis and their beliefs were in accordance with fiqah hanafia. Imam Ahmed raza barelvi himself a hanafi refuted deobandi claims and declared them apostates for having unislamic beliefs(aqaed,aqeeda) . There after he got his fatwa of kufr against deobandis and wahabis signed and authorised by 33 prominent scholars of Hijaz(Haramayn al sharifayn) which was then not in control of wahabis. Imam published the fatawa of haramayn scholars in his book " Hussam al Haramayn" . Again the deobandis claimed that Imam ahmed raza had obtained fatawa against them by tricking the scholars of Hijaz as the said blasphemous material was in urdu language and scholars of hijaz didnt know Urdu. Allthough hijazi scholars got everything cross checked before excommunicating deobandis from islam. but in Indian subcontinent deobandis started this new malicious propaganda against imam that he had done all of it by trickery. At this point imam got his fatawa authenticated by 268 prominent scholars of south asia (modern day india pakistan bangladesh) and published as "al sawrim ul hindiya ala makri shayatin al deobandia". But deobandis remained adamant and didnt repent. lateron imams movement became famous as the barelvi movement which countered wahabism(ahle hadith,ahle Quran,salafism),deobandism,qadianism(so called ahmadiya muslims)(ahmadiya are a group who believe in a false self proclaimed prophet mirza Ghulam ahmed qadiani of Punjab british india who was small time clerk on payroll of britain). deobandism lateron gave rise to many movements like jamat e islami of abul alaa maudoodi, tabligi jamat of ilyas kandhalvi, aligarh movement of sir syed ahmed khan, nadwatul ulema of syed sulaiman nadvi etc...
Barelvi movement stayed apolitical and kept itself restricted to countering the new sects of wahabism,deobandism and outcastes like ahmadiya people. today after 100 years of Imam ahmed Raza barelvis passing away the majority of the sunni muslims of indopak subcontinent identify themselves with barelvi movement and dissociate from deobandism and wahabism. they continue to celebrate mawlid,visit graves of Auliya Allah while observing the rulings of sharia.
Imam Ahmed raza barelvis notable scholarly works were " kanzul eman" which is urdu translation of "Holy Quran" in which imam took great care of the honour of Holy Prophet as other translators had mis translated some translations of Holy Quran into urdu which contain serious errors that disrespect Holy Prophet( SalAllahu ALahi wasallam). Imam's big collection of scholarly rulings is known as "Fatawa e razavia" and his collection of poetry in love of Prophet Muhammad(SalAllahu alaihi waSallam) is known as "hadaeq e bakshish".
