SCH GOOD CONTROL! I love how all the attacks are made lightly but enough to register that it is a proper hit! i do that quite often and i though i was doing it wrong! great spar!
Thanks a lot! :D I think good sparring should always leave both fencers healthy and a bit richer in experience^^ and as long as the body & cutting mechanics are in place, there is no need to strike hard.
Found myself at Sanssouci and the surrounding gardens last weekend, and I was like... this place is famous, @SchildwachePotsdam films their videos around here. 😄 For good measure, I took a photo of the arches in front of which I learned the guards & positions for sidesword. 😉

Amazing sparring.
Wonderfully done! An excellent series and progression of passes, very fun bladework and playing with distance.
Thank you for the video!
You are very welcome :)
Control and fun. Everything i want in a good sword fight.

I wish my university had this as an option (sure, I'm faculty now, but that shouldn't stop me from embarrassing myself in a "sword club" setting).
Maybe there is a possibility you start a study group, if there is nothing anywhere near? :)
Just got my first sidesword. I didn’t realize it was just about the same length and blade type as my old rapier. Handles better, though.
Emilia is the winner!!!😂
There are only winners in well done sparring as it is a training-mode to improve one's skill... & mood. :)
Nice low parries
Thank you! I've been working on them quite a bit, really utilizing that dall'Agocchie guardia di testa & falso dritto. :)
