    My girlfriend at the time and i rode to Niagara on the Lake from Hamilton in 2012 and that took us a good 6 hours with breaks. We did stick as close to the lake where possible, though, and had about an hour ride down to the Lakeshore trail from my place on Hamilton mountain before we started towards NOTL. And back the next day, climbing the escarpment.

    Which bikes did you use? When I was 16 i biked from Martin Grove and Eglinton in Etobicoke to Hamilton. I had a crappy bike from Canadian Tire that had a bent rear wheel. Took me about 6 or 7 hours. Then i returned the next day. Years later, in college, i bought a decent hybrid bike and logged 120km in a day with little pain afterward. What a difference the bike can make.

    • @TheNoviceNomads
      @TheNoviceNomads  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yessir. The bike really does make a difference. Plus the fit and how well it's maintained. We just used road bikes from the 80s that are pretty well maintained. My bike is a bit too big for me, but was still able to do the job.
