Facilitating trade access between all AU Countries is the priority along with manufacturing, storage, and delivery of products, etc., ... is priority.
Mr. Kagame...China did not allow access to its country/citizens while rebuilding which it did quickly and successfully incorporating its own peoples!
Let Africa do the same. no foreign military controls/ownerships/loans, etc., ...including China.

President Kagame is one man that one can sit attentively and proudly to listen to over and over without tiring. If we had 5 such presidents in Africa to articulate the African Agenda, Africa shall make tremendous strides to the affirmation of the colonisers who still think we need their attention on our domestic challenges.
Kagame is a true leader that fears no one or have no issue in answering each and every question satisfactorily. From Genocide status to a world class economy with such short period is no mini achievement. Kudos your excellence. May Keep showering you with blessings, good health and Grace. Kenyans we love you and resonate with your way of doing things selflessly for 🇷🇼 and the continent of 🌍.

His Excellency President Paul Kagame should tell us why African Governments fail to fund the budget of the African Union, while at the same time,African Governments make their contributions to the UN.Allowing the EU funding AU budget ..makes African states/leaders/citizens weak and this scenario gives EU..our former colonisers an opportunity to continue exploiting us...including our natural resources

    • @woozyz2769
      @woozyz2769 ปีที่แล้ว

The AU needs a reform. The AU needs new policy, for example how can there be 54 members and non of them give a percentage of their gdp into the organization? Each member needs to bring value to the table, if they give for example 5% of their gdp into the organization then the funds gathered can be used for future economic projects such as investments in infrastructure and railways, education and tech. That 5% of gdp that each nation brings to the organization can be used to deal with future calamities such as earthquakes or floods and tsunamis that hit certain nations. There should be different divisions and factions that deal with corruption, healthcare, calamities, investments, refugees, workers, climate change, technology, education, infrastructure, agriculture, manufacture and the list goes on and on.
The real problem stems from the foreign policies of each 54 nations as well as the ideology of the leadership of these nations who very much differ and collide. Considering the personal interests of each of these nations as well is crucial however I know for a fact that they would all agree that the wars and the coups must stop. As long as there are more agreements than disagreements then progress will prevail, however if the disagreements outweigh the agreements then we will be with a never ending slope that leads to a dead end. We can sulk around and try to wait for solutions but what will these leaders do when another militia group pops up? What will these leaders do more people are killed and displaced? Time is of the essence? We need action not words, we need solutions that bring results which benefit everybody.
The IC laughs at us as they take advantage of our problems and profit off them through proxy wars and covert operations. Do not underestimate the vast resources of Africa, if there is no intelligent leadership then your resources shall be exploited by them. the global finance systems are designed to go against and rich natural resourceful nations in the 3rd and underdeveloped world. Which is why developments and investments in infrastructure, tech and education is very important. Majority of Africa still uses colonial education systems, this must change as in order to join the 1st world one must be less reliant on cheap labour and focus on advanced labour. Investing too much capital and resources on agriculture and manufacturing won't take you anywhere in the 21st century, this method doesn't work as technology reigns supreme. Once there is proper infrastructure, good education, well functioning energy and electricity, low inflation then it is time to invest in the technological aspects of AI and IT.
Africa has so much resources to the point where the West which is the US and the EU as well as China and its BRICS nations are heavily dependent and reliant on African resources which range from oil, crops, uranium, gold to technological and car parts and resources of lithium, silver, cobalt, copper. If All 54 African nations came together and created a proper organization that have similar and aligning interests then they would be unstoppable. They could impose a united sanctions on the entire world and you will see the global impact and chaos we could cause if Africa united. EU sanctions and American sanctions would be absolutely nothing compared to an All African sanction.

Please leaders of the continent stop borrowing because even if you borrow you don't use the money on the continent. So why continue borrowing. We believe you better add value to our raw materials and gradually we be able to manage our own affairs. You can't continue to borrow when you know you won't use for the nation. Ask how Dangote made it. If small business can make it, why can't the leaders manage to use the resources in the countries to manage it. How can where you go to borrow manage and you have failed. So this is clear evidence that if we don't stop you will continue to make us slaves for ever and ever

Aid is not good for Africa. It must be stopped immediately. Africa is a blessed continent and rich already. Isn't it Africa that has made the world as it is now. The only solution for Africa is to stop borrowing and it is now not tomorrow

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is a free trade area that was created in 2018 by the African Union (AU). It is the largest free trade area in the world by population, with over 1.3 billion people. The AfCFTA aims to boost intra-African trade by eliminating tariffs and other barriers to trade. It also aims to harmonize trade rules and regulations across Africa.
The AfCFTA is expected to have a significant impact on the African economy. It is estimated that it could boost intra-African trade by up to 52%. The AfCFTA could also create millions of jobs and reduce poverty in Africa.
The AfCFTA is still in its early stages, but it has the potential to transform the African economy. It is a major step towards creating a more integrated and prosperous Africa.
The AfCFTA faces a number of challenges, including:
    * **Infrastructure gaps:** Africa has a number of infrastructure gaps, such as poor roads, railways, and ports. These gaps make it difficult and expensive to transport goods and services across the continent.
    * **Differing standards:** African countries have different standards for products and services. This can make it difficult for businesses to trade across the continent, as they may need to adapt their products and services to meet different standards.
    * **Uneven development:** Africa is a continent with a wide range of development levels. This can make it difficult to create a level playing field for businesses across the continent.
    * **Political instability:** Some African countries are politically unstable. This can make it difficult to do business in these countries, as there is a risk of political upheaval.
Despite these challenges, the AfCFTA has the potential to transform the African economy.
Here are some of the benefits of the AfCFTA:
    * Increased trade: The AfCFTA will eliminate tariffs and other barriers to trade, which will make it easier for businesses to trade with each other across Africa. This is expected to lead to increased trade between African countries, which will boost economic growth.
    * Reduced poverty: Increased trade is expected to lead to economic growth, which will help to reduce poverty in Africa. The AfCFTA is estimated to create millions of jobs and lift millions of people out of poverty.
    * Increased investment: The AfCFTA is expected to attract more investment to Africa. This is because businesses will be more likely to invest in Africa if they know that they can trade freely with other African countries.
    * Increased integration: The AfCFTA is expected to help to integrate Africa economically. This is because it will make it easier for businesses to trade with each other across Africa and will help to harmonize trade rules and regulations.
The AfCFTA is a major step towards creating a more integrated and prosperous Africa. It is expected to have a significant impact on the African economy, and it is a positive development for the continent.

AU should fund proposals from member countries...the onus is on member countries to present best proposals to receive funding on behalf of the citizens of their countries.

What is important in Africa is for them to fund indigenous companies that produce goods with their materials and not base on exportation inorder to reach Africa’s great potentials then if the foreign investors come to invest in Africa they will do that on the layout indigenous laws and principles for trading so they can get their actual potentials not only realising their due revenues it will achieve a lot in increasing the GDP rate in Africa raise the economy of Africa and perhaps increase workforce employments raise their currency power in the world and encourage productivity between citizen but Africans leaders must curb
corruption to achieve this. God bless us

The problem with Africa is integration, we have Ghana producing 60% of cocoa but doesn't control chocolate millions.... we should never look for a market else where instead we should trade among ourselves.

He was best in the first years but over staying in power is one thing here especial when it is used/disguised through people's consent, temptation has put him into the category of tyrants who use the mantra of people want me to stay but i don't, the crushing of dissents, oppositions and the referendum use of constitutional presidential term changes, all that describes the traits of dictatorship and no difference to banditry leadership that is common thing in Africa

Sometimes there are those whom are mentally deficient, "they can't distinguish between humor, "warming the crowd, rather allow negativity to make an mountain out of an mole hill! As the world Is today, " It is important that somehow "we as human beings are capable of " "having at least one day, without indifferences, "negativity, "that allow us, "to let our hair down, "Inhale, "exhale, "enjoy the moment, " live and let live!!

Some of the arguments in this discussion are weak.
    1. President Kagame didn't answer the question on succession. He clearly stated it wasn't his problem and he got a pass for telling a story of how he didn't really want to be the president but the people insisted. Sir, there's a constitution!
    2. The discussion on foreign nations not trying their private sectors when they commit corruption in Africa is spurious. Regarding the example Mr. Mo stated, If Germany tries Siemens for corruption in Germany, any African country that finds Siemens corrupt should also try them. The onus is on African countries to fight corruption.

Did hear when he said his intention was to leave until people asked him to stay? That constitution you are talking about was changed by the people and he did what the majority asked him to. So as far as Rwandans are concerned he is following the constitution in place! "The succession will come out what happens in my country" I thought that statement was clear.

I agree with you. Typical African dictator that thinks no one else is capable enough to lead their own country. It says a lot about those presidents because they have not done a good job at preparing their people for succession. As King T'Chaka said to his son in the Black Panther movie: A man who has not prepared his children for his own death has failed as a father.
These idiots always think they're special and that after them is the great flood. Shame.

The constitution is not divine, it's not heavenly. It's not a bible which doesn't have to be changed. It is for the people . They hold full power over it. In africa we have no lack of resources but do you what we lack . Good leaders. So once we found a good one we couldn't let him go. Many african countries are poor not bcs they have no resources but bcs of bad leadership. And i have a saying bcs i'm rwandan. Who are u to dictate to rwandans what and not what to do?
