dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my brother recently =)
I was wondering... wouldn't it have been easier to turn around the books you hàve read instead of the ones you haven't read? That way at least you could see the titles of your unread books and maybe one of them would have stood out more to you to read sooner? :D this was strangely entertaining though!!! :D
I don't have as many books as you, but still have a huge amount of unread books. It's not a bad thing, it means you have a lot of amazing reading waiting. Love your collection btw.
I kind of want you to pull a mystery TBR from this, you still know what genre/age range is where. Either that or a scavenger hunt for certain books you know you own
I think I would actually like to do this, but the other way around instead! I might turn the books that I've already read around, so that I can see how many unread books I have & exactly which ones they are. 😊
I have a shelf by my bed specifically for unread books and sometimes it scares me but I enjoy taking them off that shelf and finding them new homes (there proper shelves.
Is it weird to find the sound of books being put on the shelf satisfying? I really liked this idea, actually. I saw The School for Good and Evil flipped around- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING IT
I'm new to your channel and I never knew I'd enjoy this much the sounds of books hitting the shelf, the shuffling and talking while you turn around the books. So enjoyable!
I love that you didnt sped up and put music over it was satisfying to hear you turn them! Also I did the opposite thing but same concept. I turned my read books around so I can only see my unread books. I like it, that way I can get to my tbr which is llooonnggg! Loved this video and happy it was recommended to me. Gonna subscribe ♡
This is actually genius. How you said it was like a coloring book is so cool. I would love to turn the book around after I read it and fill in space. Amazing ❤️
Such a great visual! You could take photos of your shelves like this and at the end of the year do it again and compare the photos to see how much progress you made. 😊💙
‘Are you going to judge me for all my unread books- No’😆 I love the guilt free fearless attitude! I really loved the Hyperion Cantos it’s one of the most edifying reads I’ve had in years but you have to get to the second book to start to feel the full effect. The first book is just a great adventure and by the fourth you will be changed- for good! You’ve done so well though and heaps have been read. I loved daughter of smoke and bone I ended up going to Prague just so I could see the Charles bridge because of it😄 loved this
I love how almost all those books are the same height! :0 I think that in my country publishing houses don't produce books like that, each one have a different height (which is sad because it is not that aesthetically pleasing lol)
I like to do this too! I used to do it when my books weren't separated but I have a separate tbr shelf at the moment. i might go back to this though because I don't like the messy look of the tbr shelf compared to my other shelves!
I love this! No guilt should be felt - only anticipation for all the options you have at your fingertips! I see so many books I also have and haven't read, and some that I have, so it was kinda cool to compare~
I think this is a neat idea! I only have unread books at my house because once I read them I put them in my classroom library. I think this would be really motivating. I also am terrible at reading book box books, so I've decided that I am going to read one a month to help me get through them!
I think this is an awesome idea that I maybe want to try. It would be so rewarding to read a book and flip it back around and also would make me motivated to read more. :)
Omg you have marcy Kate Connolly books! I'm reading her shadow weaver and really liking it. I love this video. I might try it with turning around what I HAVE read to kinda encourage reading the ones I haven't.
I really like this video, it made me feel better because i have tons of books i haven't read and i feel super guilty and this gives me a pat on my back. Thank you!!
I always want to do this just to see the actual ratio I have but I know I would spend a day flipping them and then not be able to sleep until I flipped them all back around 😂
I like your collection. I also like that you have a wider variety of genre's than most of the other female booktubers out there. While I like their video's they seem to stick to YA which is fine, but I love variety. Keep up the great work!
I am dying for that shirt!!!!! This is a really cool idea but if I do this to mine I’ll be turning pretty much all of them! 😂 My library has that version of the Night Angel series and it is SO gorgeous! 💜Bassy
I actually like that look. It really does make the room look cleaner and brighter. The only difficulty is that it might be harder now to find a certain book that you will want to pick up next. But it does look good
That is a great idea, I will do that with my 2 and a half bookshelves! This will motivate me to not buy or borrow new books until I read the ones I have!
I like the idea of this if I mixed my books because it would feel like an achievement each time you get to turn one around after reading it. Might go home and rearrange my shelves
I only have one bookshelf and actually I keep the unread books on the last two spots(of 5), while the 4th spot is half filled with read books tho every book I finish I place it next to the last finished book. (As in if I take one of the last spot, when I finish it I take one of the unread books from the 4th spot and place it down below until I read it, idk if that makes sense)
The very next moment I finished watching your video I went to my bookshelves to do the same - and I like this idea a lot! It keeps inspiring me to actually read my damn tbr
This is exactly what I do. I got the idea after seeing a video about the 'would you stack your books backwards' debate, and I love having my shelves this way.
Awesome video! New subscriber over here! I was thinking of maybe you could film 2 videos: 1 at the start of the year with turning the books and taking a picture or something. 2 at the end of the year and show us the progress that you have made. "The book unturning challenge". Already in love with your channel!! Keep it going!
I would love to see this video every year it is such a good idea and would give you an inspiration to read them. I have a goal to where I dont buy books until I have read each of the books I have because it gives me anxiety if i have so many books that I havent read.
I put all my unread books onto shelves together and then organized them into adult and YA. I couldn’t turn mine around I love seeing the spines of them. Anyway, I have 6 shelves of unread books I own. I’m trying to make it smaller this year. I think I’ve almost got it down to 5 shelves. I’ve read 6 books this week so if I can keep that up I think I’ll be able to do it so I can buy more books 😊 oh, who am I kidding. I love buying books, I still do it. I have the mister by L.J Smith coming in the mail today for instance.. 🤫
I don't hate this at all. I actually kinda dig it. Now you can pick a book and have it be a surprise blind date🤷. This would work better for me because I organize my books by size/hardback/paperback only, so I'd truly be surprised. You are so very, very organized and I'm a little envious of those skills. 💛 Great video!
I have some of the books that you own,but most of them had in boxes and I hasn't read them since we had moved to our 3rd house. 😳 Right now I reading ebooks on kindle app on my tablet and some that I recently bought, but I think I will unpack the books that are unread and I will read when we move again.
This is such an interesting idea, I'd love to try it but unfortunately nearly all my books are stacked on my floor for lack of shelf space 😂 The end result of your shelves looks really cool though and would definitely motivate me to read more so I could turn them all around again.
That’s a great idea! I have such limited space that as soon as I get done reading a book I either keep it or toss it (not in the trash lol). All the books on my shelves are unread
When I flip my books around like you are doing I help me read more unread books then look at the titles so I hope this help you to read more unread books on you tbr
I feel this would be cool if you had all your unread books in one place, then if you dont know what to read you could randomly pick one. Its like a surprise 😂
Can i just say. I loved this video. I've started this as well. And my shelfs. They look horrible. It really puts me in the mood to start reading to make the shelfs colourful again. One I'm ashamed of is my harry potter collection. I've only read three. Thanks for this awesome video. It made my day. I've subscribed CAUSE apparently I never did.
I think it would be super interesting to count up how many there were, put it into a random number generator and read which one it chooses (or the next unread in that series if it chooses like the 4th)
You should really read ‘The Hazel Wood’ by Melissa Albert. I saw you turning it around in your book crate shelf. I really loved it and it’s one of my favourites! I love your videos and your videos always give me ideas for books to buy!
I think this idea can be a big motivation when it comes to finish all those (neverending) unread books. I like it! It must have been exhausting, though, to turn all of them 😂
Thank you for making me feel like less of a failure for having so many unread books in comparison to my read books! I don’t feel alone in this anymore! Haha The truth is that I only keep the books I want to reread someday and donate the ones that were just meh. But I do feel better there is someone else out there like me!
Thank you! Now I don‘t feel so bad about myself anymore. I have the same amount of unread books... but idk care... some day i will manage to read all of them 😂😂 Just found your account! Subscribed already!
This was so interesting! Did taking a step back and seeing how many are hidden give you a different look at how many books are unread on your shelves? Mine would be very similar to yours. Most of my books are unread. I’ll bet this is a good visual for you!
For those of you who asked why I didn’t show an end result clip, I didn’t even think about it and will do this in my April wrap up video for you!
dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my brother recently =)
@James Dayton yea, I've been using Instaflixxer for years myself :)
I was wondering... wouldn't it have been easier to turn around the books you hàve read instead of the ones you haven't read? That way at least you could see the titles of your unread books and maybe one of them would have stood out more to you to read sooner? :D this was strangely entertaining though!!! :D
I have more attachment to the ones I’ve read so I’d much rather see the spines of those. 😊
@@HollyHeartsBooks haha I understand!! Though I really felt for you having to turn around entire shelves :D !!
maybe she'll be more motivated to read books she randomly picked
Because one does not simply turn all the spines of Joe Abercrombie! Those spines bring joy to our hearts. ;)
That is my plan for next year!!!
have I thought about doing this before?
no.
am I looking at my bookshelf and thinking about it?
absolutely.
😂😂
I don't have as many books as you, but still have a huge amount of unread books. It's not a bad thing, it means you have a lot of amazing reading waiting. Love your collection btw.
I kind of want you to pull a mystery TBR from this, you still know what genre/age range is where. Either that or a scavenger hunt for certain books you know you own
this is such a good idea!
Your wish is my command 😉
I don’t get way people shame others of their amount of read books. So many books to look forward to.
Exactly!
I did this to my contemporary/romance shelves! It's so satisfying to turn them around once I've read them. 😍
Is it weird to find the sound of books being put on the shelf satisfying? I really liked this idea, actually. I saw The School for Good and Evil flipped around- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING IT
I really liked that you do original videos, thank you for that
Aww I’m happy to hear that! I try my best.
I actually like this idea, aesthetically!
Right?! It actually looked cool.
Me too. I actually had this for a while but it made me crazy cause I was worried that the pages would get yellowish
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I have far more attachment to the books I have read. I could never turn around my favorites 😅
So brave to film this! Unread books just means you never have to worry about running out of stuff to read! I also love the voice-over style.
Exactly!
This is like ASMR for me. Thank you for the good content, I'll probably do this on my own shelves.
I'm doing this! Love the idea, it makes me feel like I should spend less and focus on what I have since books are such a luxury. ^_^
This is actually genius. How you said it was like a coloring book is so cool. I would love to turn the book around after I read it and fill in space. Amazing ❤️
At least I’m not the only one with a plethora of unread books on my shelves. 😅
I did this as well. It made it much easier to choose my next read, instead of debating on my choices.
Such a great visual! You could take photos of your shelves like this and at the end of the year do it again and compare the photos to see how much progress you made. 😊💙
Omg this video motivated me so much to do it by my own bookshelf because it would be so much easier to see what book i didn't read
Yay! I’m happy to hear that!
I want to do this! It'll be so good to just pick a book on my TBR list without knowing which one it is first :) I like surprises
I love how this was like a little shelf tour and I would love to see this yearly.
‘Are you going to judge me for all my unread books- No’😆 I love the guilt free fearless attitude! I really loved the Hyperion Cantos it’s one of the most edifying reads I’ve had in years but you have to get to the second book to start to feel the full effect. This is such a good idea!! I might try that once I get my new bookshelves up.
How come you didn't show us the end result???
Adam Formosa I honestly didn’t even think about it and will show you guys in my April wrap up video at the end of the month!
This makes me feel so much better about my collection of unread books📚
I like to do this too! I used to do it when my books weren't separated but I have a separate tbr shelf at the moment. i might go back to this though because I don't like the messy look of the tbr shelf compared to my other shelves!
I love this! No guilt should be felt - only anticipation for all the options you have at your fingertips! I see so many books I also have and haven't read, and some that I have, so it was kinda cool to compare~

I really like this video, it made me feel better because i have tons of books i haven't read and i feel super guilty and this gives me a pat on my back. Thank you!!
That black book is awesome! I need to get on girls of paper & Fire too!
I always want to do this just to see the actual ratio I have but I know I would spend a day flipping them and then not be able to sleep until I flipped them all back around 😂
I like this idea as a motivator for helping read those unread books and kicking your TBR in the face!
YES!
I like your collection. I also like that you have a wider variety of genre's than most of the other female booktubers out there. While I like their video's they seem to stick to YA which is fine, but I love variety. Keep up the great work!
Love this idea! Definitely going to give it a try.
I actually like the idea of turning around unread books if your have them mixed in like you have! ^^ This was fun to watch
This is such an interesting idea. I loved it. It would be interesting to see this every year tho.
I think that's cool. It is a good guide to see what still needs to be read.
But it does look good
I have a very good idea where every book I own is so that wouldn’t be a problem. 😊
I have turned around all my READ books on my contemporary/romance shelves! Not sure if I'll keep it that way but I love it at the moment. ❤️
That’s awesome!
My Read and TBR books are in separate parts of my flat!
That is a great idea, I will do that with my 2 and a half bookshelves! This will motivate me to not buy or borrow new books until I read the ones I have!
You're my inspiration! I'm turning my channel into a book channel so I've started watching some book reviewers. :)
Aww, that is so great to hear!
I am going to do this and use it as motivation to get out of my reading slump!
That's awesome!
I like the idea of this if I mixed my books because it would feel like an achievement each time you get to turn one around after reading it. Might go home and rearrange my shelves
It’s definitely a great motivator to!
"if you're here to judge all the unread books I have, NO. Go Away!" I literally laughed out loud at that :P Amazing!
Get the paperback versions of those Percy books. I did. ^_^ Much easier. Those big ones are perfect for coffee tables.
The way I look at it the more books you have unread the more new worlds you’ll get to explore in the future

That’s so cool! Yes it’s very motivating!
This is exactly what I do. I got the idea after seeing a video about the 'would you stack your books backwards' debate, and I love having my shelves this way.
That's awesome!
I did this today. Oh my goodness I have so much to read!!!
Awesome video! New subscriber over here! I was thinking of maybe you could film 2 videos: 1 at the start of the year with turning the books and taking a picture or something. 2 at the end of the year and show us the progress that you have made. "The book unturning challenge".

I’ll definitely keep that in mind and I totally agree having far too many unread books can cause a lot of stress.
I'm definitely going to do this. I have way too many unread books at this point.
I have the mister by L.J Smith coming in the mail today for instance.. 🤫
I love the idea of this video so much!!
I couldn't do that especially with a bunch of unread books from book boxes I wouldn't see them and can't see them
I don't hate this at all. I actually kinda dig it. Now you can pick a book and have it be a surprise blind date🤷. This would work better for me because I organize my books by size/hardback/paperback only, so I'd truly be surprised. You are so very, very organized and I'm a little envious of those skills. 💛

I love your character bookmarks!
Aw thanks!
This is definitely a way to motivate!!
I really like this idea! It’s a great motivator to get on reading!
Ooo, those colored page reveal got me excited for this lol
This is such an interesting idea, I'd love to try it but unfortunately nearly all my books are stacked on my floor for lack of shelf space 😂 The end result of your shelves looks really cool though and would definitely motivate me to read more so I could turn them all around again.
Oh my gosh this is such a great video and idea! I’m about to watch more of your videos🌻
I love this idea!!!!! I will do this asap!
That’s a great idea! I have such limited space that as soon as I get done reading a book I either keep it or toss it (not in the trash lol). All the books on my shelves are unread
The Hazel Wood is an awesome book!
When I flip my books around like you are doing I help me read more unread books then look at the titles so I hope this help you to read more unread books on you tbr
Appreciate that!! I have my unread books not even on my shelf they don’t deserve
Weird comment but I love that you kept the sound of turning around the books lol I thought it was satisfying
Aww, I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it!
I would love to see another video like this next year
I love this idea.
I think I might do this so I'll stop rereading the same books all the time. Seeing the books put in the wrong way will definitely drive me crazy!
I think it would be super interesting to count up how many there were, put it into a random number generator and read which one it chooses (or the next unread in that series if it chooses like the 4th)
They come out so easily!
Unlike mine who are crammed with each other.
I like it! It must have been exhausting, though, to turn all of them 😂
It actually wasn’t that bad to turn them all around surprisingly!
Wait a few days with them flipped then pick 5 random books for May! :) I also haven't read Furyborn. Whoops. Hahaha
Love Girls of Paper and fire. I am so not judging you of about 300 books I own I have probably not read 250. It looks kind of good that way.
Thank you for making me feel like less of a failure for having so many unread books in comparison to my read books! I don’t feel alone in this anymore! Haha
The truth is that I only keep the books I want to reread someday and donate the ones that were just meh. But I do feel better there is someone else out there like me!
I do the same thing! I only want books I truly love on my shelves so it's kinda why there are so many unread because I just want to fill in the space.
Thank you! Now I don‘t feel so bad about myself anymore. I have the same amount of unread books... but idk care... some day i will manage to read all of them 😂😂 Just found your account! Subscribed already!
These videos make me want to add my unread to my read and do this and see how I like it
I have done this and it shows how much I have in read.
That's actually a good idea to see what other TBR still needs to be done or by the end of the yr you still haven't read then it's time to give away
I love this idea! I might do this but opposite, flip them around as I read them 🙌
Omg you like kingdom hearts 😯☺️ love the video too
This was so interesting! Did taking a step back and seeing how many are hidden give you a different look at how many books are unread on your shelves? Mine would be very similar to yours. Most of my books are unread. I’ll bet this is a good visual for you!
Yes! It definitely did and made me realize I need to get my butt in gear. 😂
This would give me anxiety, i need to see the spines xD but i liked the idea! Great video 😊
Haha trust me, when I was finished.. I was full panic. 😂
Me too! I need to see the spines!!
I think I will also try it. It looks so fun!
And now I'm tempted to switch mine around 😂
You really should do a whole month of reading your books from your subscription box!
