I am 28 years old and I have an appointment in the morning with cardiology. Yestersay in ER I was having persistant sinus tachycardia. My chest hurts even doing the slightest of moving around, any type of cleaning. I become short of breath and my pulse is always high. Hoping for answers ans they they are not to hard on me.

Best of luck at the appt. If in doubt it is always best to get reviewed by a doctor. I’m sure you will get the answers you need. Take care.

... well you seem young to have a heart problem ... 74 here w/bad heart ....best to let the doctor guide you it is after his testing or any concerns he might have ... like your age group love those energy drinks ... is your body telling you something ? ...you eating right ? ... stay open ...

    Great video
    Was having skipped beats.
51 years old . cardiologist did a ekg, echocardiogram, blood work, ziopatch for 12 days. Came back as rare pvcs, pacs, less than 1 percent.
He said there benign because all the test came back normal and everyone gets them.
I may only feel a couple a day a couple times of week.
Any suggestions doctor that you might have.
    Thank you
    Michael

Hi Michael, thanks for your comment! I cant comment about your case specifically, but PACs and PVCs are generally considered benign if the heart is structurally normal and there is no significant coronary artery disease. There are however some medications that can be tried if they are causing a lot of symptoms. Hope this helps! mike

So he’s going to run test that’s good. I’m also going to ask him or her if I’m healthy enough for six flags rides and lake Winnie rides.

Doctor, I'm a 18 year old person, luckily I have not suffer from covid till now but I am having chest pain since the last 15 to 20 days, the pain keep shifting. Sometimes it is in the centre.... sometimes it shifts to the right side and sometimes to the left side and then sometimes on the upper abdomen. It feels like somebody is pricking me from inside with the needle... It does not last for minutes but for a few seconds and keeps on coming for a few times in a day.. it's sometimes radiates to the lower back and initially it used to go to my arm but now it does not radiate to my arm anymore.. I'm also farting alot since ten days but no meds or antacids are working for me.... I got an ECG done the first time the chest pain happened but it was normal..... The doctor in the emergency ward advised me to visit a medicine specialist.... Medicine specialist give me antacid and one capsule... But the antacid makes the the pain was even if I am not having the pain at that moment..... The only thing which makes me feel a bit relieved is some cumin water.... But nothing else works. I am trying everything but this thing is not resolving.... Can it be a chest pain because of heart issues? My mother died from a sudden heart attack and she also complained about sudden chest pain just before her death. This very thought is scaring me ..... I am also having my board examination and I am not able to visit the doctor again because for the same..... there are some days when I feel absolutely fine and there is no chest pain the whole day... But then suddenly after 2-3 days the chest pain again comes.... Doctors are not giving any clarity.... And I am on the verge of crying.... Can you please tell me what to do.... I am very 😣

Hi Gurleen, Sorry to hear about your situation. I cant give medical advice via youtube, but chest pain can be caused by a lot of different things - heart, gastric, muscle pains, lung/pneumonia etc. COVID can lead to heart issues but they are relatively rare. Coronary artery disease and heart attacks are also very rare in young women. If you have any concerns it is best to visit your doctor to be assessed. Take care

They found out I have an enlarged left atrium at my doctor by ekg will the cardiologist find out what is causing it. My resting heart rate has went up to 75 beats a minute should I be concerned. I’m 41 years old. I see a cardiologist next Friday. Also I’m swollen up around the knee.

    • @DrMikeMacDonald
      @DrMikeMacDonald  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Mel B, There can be lots of different causes of leg swelling, but it definitely sounds like you need an echocardiogram and a consult with a cardiologist to work out if the heart is causing the swelling. Best of luck.

@@DrMikeMacDonald I didn’t know about my knees I thought I ask just in case. The cardiologist I had was so rude to me he was why are you here and we explained to him that my doctor sent me there because I had an enlarged left atrium. And he was rude about telling me to lose weight if he knew me more than a few minutes he would of known I had already lost 10 pounds. Maybe if he was nicer about it he was rude

That’s a shame. There are things you can do other than meds. Sounds like you should engage with another doctor
