Just made this in my air fryer, delicious much nicer in fact than my sandwich grill and a lot less faff! Found an easier way to get the sandwich out of the machine to flip,it it. I put a bigger piece of parchment paper so there were kind of handles to lift it out. Worked much better. Thanks for the video

Great video, love cheddar cheese, I wish I could get it here in continental Europe more often. Very precise and the perfect bite. Just had to laugh in the beginning when he said I have to "Cut the Cheese". That has a different meaning where I come from. just purchased an air fryer and things turn great. Thank you for all the helpful videos.
Hi, great video even though I'm not physically there with you I was still crying when you were cutting the onion however you cut the onion slowly and methodically some people cut onions hurry because onion can bring tears to your eyes but you precisely cut very helpful video for everyone thanks.
Just purchased my first air fryer. Cheese and onion toasties tasted fab. Thank you for sharing video. Any tips on air frying sausages? Mine were a tad dry.
Hi lou thanks for the feedback, I air fry sausages quite a lot, to stop them drying out I use a non stick dish that fits in the air fryer basket sitting on a silicon mat to stop any scratching of the non stick basket, giving it a quick spray of oil so it browns evenly normally takes about 10 to 12 minutes at a 190c..
Looks good. I have the same air fryer and love it, though I haven't tried making grilled cheese in there yet. Do the onions cook/soft a bit or stay crisp?
@@quincemeister5085 Understandable if you want to keep the calories down, I have heard of buttering the bread with low calorie mayonnaise although I haven't tried this myself..
There reasonably quick to cook in the air fryer, no preheat needed unlike a sandwich toaster that has to be preheated, and its consistent, 205c for 7 minutes turning over after 5 minutes that never changes.

The Onions do soften a bit, there firm but not crunchy...
That looks really good. Please, how melted was the cheese? I like it as runny as melted can get it :) Would I have to cook for longer?
The cheese was melted enough to ooze out when removed from the air fryer just how I like it 👍
Is that regular bread or your typical government issued bread? Also, did you remove half the diced onions between clips? Thanks.
Used regular bread and no the onions weren't removed
SAMMIELICIOUS, Thanks RFC

Love it . The
Surely the butter on the insides is overkill, just the outsides would suffice?
Its not compulsory its just a guide buttering the inside keeps it moist you can leave the butter out entirely up to you...

you need the butter on the inside to secure the onions , infact my wife top the toast on the out side when it comes our, just the job rudefood
Isnt the onion taste super strong? Seems like its hardly getting cooked.
It would all depend how much onion you wanted to add, personally I like my toasty to have a little bit of a crunch..
What temp

Cant help but think this would taste better if the onion was fried beforehand.
