There's always a lot of debate between Leno and Emi and people backing Leno saying just one thing that we are forgetting how many times he saved us before getting injured, fair enough, but what is the one thing that we always kept saying Leno should improve on? BALL DISTRIBUTION. Leno's ball distribution is no where near to that of Emi's plus Emi made a lot of brilliant saves as well. Arteta's system requires a keeper with good ball distribution, look at the first goal against City in the FA Cup semi, started with Emi. Goal against Liverpool in community shield started with Emi. This is enough reason for Emi to start over Leno imo.
Difficult to say that. Both are great shot stoppers, made a few errors, but overall great goalkeepers. But we must remember that Emi played under Arteta when the defence had gained some sort of form and Mustafi, Luiz, and Bellerin were actually playing better than previously. Leno was there with Emery, when you might as well have put dolls in their for defenders and he still made so many saves. I don't know who should start because both are great keepers. But Emi is not an obvious choice for sure. It is a 50/50/
