    I'd love to see more pretty unscented soaps. Having fragrance sensitivity sucks because most of the pretty soaps are scented and the unscented one are only a single color.

    • @pineappledeedee1705
      @pineappledeedee1705 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@debbiekaye7880 it is a bar of soap that you wrap a piece of felted wool over and then felt the seam together so it's encased in a piece of felted wool. You can use it with a washcloth/loofah because the felt acts as a loofah of sorts.

    Hi Katie! If you have trouble with this getting stuck in the bottles, it might be similar results to use a candy funnel. It's a hopper with about a ¾ inch hole in the bottom and has a dowel to move in and out of the hole as you go over the mold. The dowel plugs the hole but doesn't seal it so you have to work kinda fast and may be a good project with a buddy. It may take a bit of practice but the soap can be a little thicker which is more forgiving because of course soap is gonna thicken as to go, sometimes thicker from the start dep on the scent. With a funnel even if it's accelerated you can blop it in and get that look.

    • @boop7313

    Nothing to do with this video, I haven't watched it yet, but I just wanted to express my gratitude. I have been a fan of the channel for a while now, and then I was tasked at my job with coming up with a fun crafting thing that you can do with people of all ages, with ideas and concrete examples they could use. So I immediately thought a fun melt and pour - soup DIY would be ideal. And it was popular beyond belief!
    I designed a sea themed soap with a yellow "sand" part with poppy seeds, and a real seashell, and clear mealt and pour coloured turquoise to fill it up. They turned out super cute! And I only had the very limited library of fragrances and colours from the local craft store to work with, and luckily they had a pretty decent "ocean" scent to work with.
    Also we did the lemon slice soap, and some other fun things you can do with melt&pour.
    Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration you gave me, and I wish you could have seen the happy smiles of the people who tried soap crafting for the first time :D

    Katy I think the batter should be a touch thicker not thinner for better circles. The trick of this technique is having the batter stay at just the right consistency for the amount of time it takes to do this. A decelerating fragrance helps. You can put little thin plastic bags inside the bottles, put the soap batter in the bag and clean up is way way easier and quicker. really big bubble wrap "bubbles" work great for liners. Just cut one end off and let the air out.
