Absolutely gutted for Mitch, getting hurt on the first event is a hard thing to deal with, but I'm super proud of him for fighting through. Also happy for Evan to get his first podium and Tom really brought it this year
Stoltman put up an incredibly consistent performance and is a worthy champion but there is no doubt that Hooper's torn up hands played a major role in the way the tournament played out. If it wasn't for the injury most likely Hooper would have placed top 2 in every event and the outcome would be different but like I said, Tom is a worthy champion and him placing 3rd in his weakest event is what cemented the championship for him. Looking forward to these titans clashing once more at the SMOE.
It should be a lot of fun... and the return of Thor. Yeah, he's not all of the way back yet... and yes, he's on the wrong side of his prime, whereas Tom and Mitch are on the correct side of it -- but the big guy still has it in him to take points (and even win certain events) away from both of them in several events.

I think that all comes down to expectations. Self-imposed expectations in addition to the expectations of others.
