    I have been repairing electronics for over 36 years. I no longer do that, however from time to time I repair a tv here, and there. My friend went to the garbage dump, and found a 75 inch tv, and brought it home. It had lots of bright spot's on it. when I opened it. ALL the Lenses had come off. I didn't know what to do on that. so I came here looking. Found your channel after 3 hours I was done. it came up pretty good. Thank you for your Help :) I am now one of your SUBS. Thank you Buddy.

    I was literally writing a listing for facebook marketplace to give away my 65 inch LG tv with the same bright spots. Before activating the listing I decided to see if it was a common problem and how hard it would be to fix. You saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you.

    Thanks so much for doing this video. I was ready to toss the TV and buy a new one. I followed your instructions, took about 90 minutes, and it's good as new. After pulling on the 7 lenses that were still on, I ended up gluing all 32. Thanks again. Great job.

    I just replaced the burned out on one side, LED bar, put it all back together and now have one bright spot at the bottom!
    I can't be bothered to take it all apart again, but thanks for the vid, at least I know what that is.

    Thank you for your video, I spent 5 hours on this yesterday (the screen kept dropping once I lifted it back upright) so took it apart a number of times, we finally got it all lined up and back together and then noticed a crack in the screen. We don’t know when this happened as we were being extra cautious but be careful if you’re attempting this, the screen is very fragile! Good luck!

    Tip: Had difficulty in getting the panels to align when placing the main LED panel on top of the LCD image panel. When not aligned properly, the screws don't go in easily and, in my case, there was an image issue (white line at the top of the screen). Had to place the LCD image panel onto the main LED panel to get everything to line up correctly. Thanks!

    I had my Samsung 55 inch 4K curved tv since 2016 and the picture still shows great.. I just got my first small white spot this past weekend.. try to get it fixed..but they talking about $550 because it’s out of warranty. Or just buy a new TV all in all.. which that’s what I do anyway.. I know fix it I don’t know too much about that but after looking at your video looks pretty easy helpful.. I don’t see why not eventually I’m gonna take that risk.. because they what I got loose huh.. but the thing is I don’t know when I’m gonna do it though.. thinking about it I’ve been more than one video of this and just makes me wonder I could do it myself..Patience is the key

      All mine went back on slightly twisted as I didn't want to stick them onto the old glue, and the screen looks fine. Obviously they have a front and a back and you'll need to get that bit right🙂 take your time and don't get distracted thats a big screen! It impossible to tell which ones came off where on mine, basically they are all the same and can go anywhere it seems.

    • @gavincorbould1831

      Super glue might be too thin, some nice thick glue that will dry hard is what you want.

    • @gavincorbould1831
      @gavincorbould1831  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its not an exact science, put plenty on, both sides if you like, try not to get it on the LED. Some of mine came off again as I didn't put enough glue on and I tried to glue the lens to the old glue spots. Second time round I put new blobs between the old ones and rotated the lens so the little feet set in the new glue, this has worked better. Hope that helps.

      Depending on what you use you may want to leave the TV flat until the glue has fully dried, so they don't fall off when you sit the screen back upright.
