I love this little camera. Great for close ups and time and time again I fall in love with the colours out of the box. It's ust a shame that every one I've tried has hot pixels at somewhat longer exposure times.
Very nice! It's such a good camera! Very slow, but it's nearly 20 years old! The lens is really sharp and the colours! One of my favourite cams. Good job!
I make photos for more than 45 years and I had a lot of cameras. This camera I used during my digital photo course 20 years ago. I still have it. It is really a fun camera. Now I make photos with my phone and my Nikon D3000.
Actually jpegs are pretty damn amazing. I love the colors out of it. Yep it's slow as hell, AA bateries, 5 Mpix only. But man those colors during a sunny are stunning ! I even own another CCD legend Olympus E1. And I would say that this old crappy 5050 does produce even better colors than a legendary E-1. Cheers
thanks for sharing.. I just got the c5050 and would like to ask you how many hours do the batteries last or how many shots they can take? (approximately of course) and if there is a specific battery brand that you suggest or just any 4 AA rechargeable batteries?? thank you so much 👍
Thanks! For shooting now and then, in my use batteries last for about a week. Maybe a couple of hundred photos max. I just changed from rechargeable to normal batteries for comfort and energy (how about that? Here in Finland electricity is crazy expensive). I use mostly Varta.
@@hillspruce759 one cooking on the stove is equal to several years of recreational recharge of such batteries. Is electricity really that expensive?) Do you shoot in raw?
Very sharp, great contrast and beautiful colors… also f1.8 is magical!!!

That’s cool. It is a fun camera to fiddle with. And still takes photos.

Does this C-5050 have a pixel mapping option on the menu like some Olympus Camedia digicams?
If I remember correctly, yes.
A tiny bomb, I'used as a lille Leica: stellar files!
Heh!😁
If the screen is wrinkled ,, can it be replace or fixed?
Find another unit and salvage parts? Might be tricky though…
So you saying I should spend the money get my mode dial fixed?
Or get another copy👍🏻
Thanks, I’m weighing the cost. Either way I look forward to it.
My zoom is not working
