I really love how Jerry rides the line of careful analysis while also making the odd joke that livens the mood of his videos. They really are a treat.
I remember randomly finding Daystone and watching through it and being exited for more, to see more of the world and its beautiful art style. Then I was heart broken to find that it was canceled. I hope VanRipper sees this vid and the support here and decides to continue. That ten minutes of run time really inspired me and my personal world setting for my stories and TTRP games.
Damn you, you almost made me think VanRip dropped another ep of DayStone... Looking forward for the video though!
Daystone is very near and dear to me, it's the reason I decided to pick up art seriously, it's incredibly inspirational.
Regardless if it continues or not, I'm very glad Vanripper got his big break with Helltaker, he deserves it.

Daystone was absolutely brilliant. I remember watching it back in 2019 and being blown away by how well made it was.

It really reminds me of the manga blame. like no this is really reminds me of blame. With some chapters having little to no words if not any. It’s in a post apocalyptic sci fi world where you can only really discern it’s history based on back ground details and what little the characters say. But blame has more of an existential feeling to it with the environments the main character, Killy traverses with not only just ruins but winding halls that lead no where or structures that don’t even make sense. I think it is really good and I think you should give it a read. Or there’s a anime of it (which is apparently not as good as the manga)

Seriously though, interesting look into this. Never really was interested in Helltaker (not much of a gamer, and the waifu nonsense of the fandom really made me want to keep away), but I'd like to see where VanRip could take DayStone now.

I've always hoped VanRipper would come back to Daystone some day as a fully fledged comic, or even a video game now that he's proven he's capable and willing to make games. I wanted to see Smug Cat and Sniper Guy team up.
I say DAYSTONE and thought YA... its back. Then I realized immediately, it's not. But, now I know I'm not the only one that loved it. But correction. There are 4 count them FOUR episodes. 1 is a Prologue uploaded on a different channel, then 3 episodes on vanripper's channel.

I don't even like you man. I was geting ready to unsubscribe and then you post high quality video about one of the most underrated animated shows on TH-cam which funnly enough is also one of my favorites. I was also fan of Vanripper long before he made helltaker.
Fun fact: as person from Poland I always roll my eyes at Kocia's name. In translation from polish her name is just a dumbefied version of words "cat" and "fart". Her name is basicly something like Kitty Farty or something like that. It's actually pretty funny hearing some anglosaxon say her dumb name with straight face.🙂
Didn't know he stopped working on Daystone.Thought the series was pretty interesting and it sucks to hear that he stopped working on it for some reason.
Not really cancelled more like put on hold until he gets the *_MOTIVATION_* to work more on it. And with the success of Helltaker, I'm sure we'll see more of the mary sue cat in the future.

Yeah, daystone was the reason I never played helltaker. it just set such a great standard...
I was greatly disappointed with Van gave up on this. While I enjoyed Helltaker and its expanded universe, I will always lament the loss of the potential that Daystone had.

Tl;dr Jerry and his friends were being harrassed and false-flagged on the RWBY:ALT world building Discord and in the TH-cam comments by the RWBY "fandom", to the point where he shut down the Discord and resetting the comments section by removing and re-uploading all of his RWBY:ALT videos. I also heard, but cannot confirm, that some hackers tried using fishing tactics to get a hold of his Gmail account.
