    This game was the ultimate summary of this Jays season... vlad goes 0-4 and makes one of the biggest base running mistakes I have ever seen from a major league player, the jays get shut out in an elimination game, leaving 100 runners on base, the pitching was great and the manager decided to pull one of the best starting pitchers in the game in favor of a notoriously shaky starter in a relief roll that he is not used to.... thank God this season is over

      because Schneider did something super similar in game 2 of the Seattle wild card as well with Gausman, took him out way too early which led to the bullpen collapsing (just Kikuchi collapsed this time but still), it's a mistake he's made 2 years in a row now so I don't consider him to be a reliable manager at all for a team that's trying to win
      The offense absolutely also needs fixing desperately, for what it's worth I feel like Schneider could've made some changes late in the game to try and light a fire, particularly subbing out Belt or Chapman, but he didn't bother

    Pathetic performance and display from the Blue Jays offense in this series VS. the Twins. If there was ever a doubt that the Jays manager Schneider should be fired, that doubt was removed today. Schneider removes Berrios from the game who was pitching outstanding and had only thrown 47 pitches at that point. This was a real Blue Jays game. Incomprehensible "clever" managerial move, pulling a solid hot starter early for no intelligible reason. Guerrero 0/4, then gets picked off in scoring position. Nor should he have been batting 3rd; nobody ever called him Mr. Clutch. Varsho sac bunting; this is not the team where you give up outs to move runners into scoring position. Espinal hotter than Chapman; promptly goes 2/2 when finally brought in. Should have started, whatever the pitcher's handedness. Clear the front office in the next few days and start again.

      I still think about the Dodgers/Astros call stealing WS. You guys had some fantastic pitchers that year that threw absolutely sick off speed stuff in Houston. I remember thinking, how in the world are they laying off those pitches?

      @@harrisbaker4723 that year I was like wow, Houston is so good, they hit almost every pitch, but when the truth was revealed, I was like no wonder. But yeah, my team gave a good fight and sadly it was taken from us unfairly. With all due respect, Houston's only title was last year because it was done with integrity

    Love how all the so called Toronto TV experts billed the Jays as a monumental World Series team all season...then became the Leafs after the first round. Wish I could be that wrong with my job and still get paid. They looked miserable and beat themselves tonight. The Twins were a powerhouse from 1st to 9th.

      @Destrave91 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got no idea why they said that. Yes on paper the Jays got star players. But this season the offense was just bad. Many player did not show up. Bo Bichette was awesome tho. I knew it would be hard but it was so frustrating to watch them leave that many players on base yet again.

    As a former Jays fan (30+ years), I generally post now only to write wiseacre comments about their problems. Watching today and seeing the manager take the ball out of the pitcher's hand after the FIRST batter gets a walk in the top of the 4th (in a SCORELESS game), I was just . . . sad. Watching _ _ _ _ getting picked off 2nd. That's not winning baseball. Regardless of the (mediocre) season record, if you see a G.M. who can't see and/or address the issues with the club, it is your RESPONSIBILITY as a fan to complain. Write a letter - oddly they have a lot of impact. Don't go to or watch the games. They don't deserve you. Whine publicly. If you are not trying to solve the problem, you are part of the problem.

    The Blue Jays cannot win games by leaving men on base and making running mistakes. That has been the story of this season.

    Am I the only one who doesn’t understand the “ball” call by the ump on Polanco in the 1st? I thought if the ball hits dirt but the batter swung it’s still a strike the catcher just has to tag him or throw to first in time.

    Im a Yankee fan but its kind of a slap in the face to Twins fans that two announcers accociated with the Yankees (and AROD of all people) are the announcers for this big moment in Twins history. Almost as annoying in game interviews are for the players and managers. Theyre trying to focus on a game and you have a guy in a suit in the dugout asking tye Blue Jays manager for insight on his decisions while the game is still gping on?? Try doing that with Earl Wesver or Sparky Anderson!
