For Seasons of the Ukulele 656: Not Born In The U.S.A. or England (See forum.ukuleleu...) One from Kenya born Roger Whittaker. I can't whistle like him, but then, who can?
The older I get, the more I like and appreciate Roger Whittaker’s music. He’s one of my Dad’s favourites, so I guess it’s a reminder of happier times for me. And this is a lovely cover of a beautiful song - well done, matey! :-)
My Mum liked him a lot which probably explains why I didn't when I was young. I can certainly appreciate some of his songs now I'm almost a septuagenarian.
Good choice Edwin! I didn’t have Kenya on my dance card. I have a couple of African artists I really like..Ali Farka Toure and Fela Kuti..but their music is beyond my ability to cover. RW was a nice find. Real listenable cover too.
