What makes her the number one on the planet? Because she has no dancers, no huge screen with 3D animation, no decorations, it's dark on the stage, only she is visible. You must be supernaturally interesting,attractive and inspiring mastercalss,to hols the audience for 2 hours without anything around or back her. This is rare. Because normaly people come for the spectacular shows and lights and all that stuff,but in Lia's case she is the biggest show of herself that does not need anything.
Liza was on fire in 1996. A year earlier her voice was ragged and she looked frail and gaunt. She looked radiant here and sounded divine. It's hard to believe that a year later she would look and sound so different yet again. The "Maple Leaf Rag" was a hoot and I never knew Liza had it in her show. Does anyone know where the lyrics came from? I tried to Google the lyrics she was singing but can't find them online.
Liza is so great. Of all the times I have seen her over the years, she never forgets a lyric. She also changes the way she sings a song, never quite the same. Amazing talent.
Happily, I've found a number of fabulous performances on YT from Miss M! The Miami concert is one of my favourites but I also recommend Liza Live in Japan! I Love her!! 🥰🎤🇯🇵♥️
