- Hello Folks,
Continuing on servicing my guitars. Today it is my acoustic Takamine F360. The action has gotten unplayable by my aging hands so it is time for a neck reset. I'll also dress the frets and get the action down where it belongs. Fun guitar to play when it's right. Almost every song I have written has been on this acoustic. We go back a long ways, like the John Denver song "This Old Guitar."

Cool stuff Don.
Thanks Barry, I’ve really been putting off fixing up my guitars while working on Betsy.
Cool guitar! Sounds nice. That nut looks unconventional…what is it?
You should share your “touring days” stories.
Good eye, most of my guitars have had new nuts. I have fat stubby fingers that need extra space between the strings. So it has a bone nut. Also if needed I will super glue a piece of bone on the front of the nut to flat the E and A strings a few cents. Sweetens up the open chords. I can’t believe you caught that. Sometimes I fool with the G or B strings for the same effect. The G is worn too deep so that needs to be fixed.
P.S. I have avoided those old dog road stories to save my wife the grief of hearing about my younger days. 😉
nice picken
Thanks Dave
