  • I will show you to to decline a ride on Lyft without it affecting your acceptance rate. Sometimes if a ping comes in and you do not want to go to that area, do not have the time to go there because you have to be somewhere soon or its not worth the pay then you can decline it and your acceptance rate will not drop. If you are new then you just accept any ride because if are afraid your rating will drop then you can do this and will be good. It is good to also save your bonuses. You might be in an area where you get a bonus by accepting your next ride and when you go to an area that does not have a bonus, you still have it and if a ride comes in and you decline it then you lose the bonus you had. If you do this method then your bonus is still there. By keeping that bonus is extra money. You could have a $5 or $10 bonus and if you get it then you save taking an extra ride.

I only see a driving score but no acceptance rate. Did you cancel the trip or decline?

I drive an XL SUV and drive on the weekends around the strip and make from $30 t0 $40 an hour. In Vegas many people come on the weekends for vacation, getaway, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, graduations, getting married, bachelor bachelorette parties, games, concerts, events so driving on the weekend is more lucrative. I target tourist more because they are better tippers. Thats why i use this method of declining rides. If i get a ride going away from the strip then i decline the ride. I only go away from the strip if im done for the day and on the way home. I tell people that locals dont usually tip because they use rideshare as a daily commute and trying to save money. Tourists come in town knowing they are going to spend money and most likely going to tip. After 7 years of driving for Lyft i finally accomplished a feature last year. I had over 10 rides where every rider tipped me and it shows it on the app and they were all tourists. You know how hard that is? I usually drive on Fridays from 5pm to midnight on Friday and make around $300 and on Saturdays i drive from 3pm to midnight and make around $400. If anyone would like to see my earnings then you can send me your email and i will send it to you. On another video in FB i told people i make average $30 an hour and they all said i was lying and when i posted my earnings they all deleted their comments. I like you to see for yourself my earnings instead of accusing me of lying and not seeing it for yourself. It is easy for someone to live in another city and judge and criticize without knowing where i live and how much i make. If you want to make good money in Las Vegas then you need to drive an XL car because you get paid more. Each ride is at around $10 or more. You also need to drive around the evening time around the strip because thats when people go eat dinner, go to the bars, clubs, events, and concerts. If you live in a city where tourist come then you can drive around there like from a sporting event or concert. Im also a chatterbox. I like to talk about sports, music and movies. Most people likes at least one of them. If you build a good rapport with your riders then you build up your potential tips. If you do not talk much to your riders then you have a less chance of getting a tip. One of the ice breakers i use on riders is "Did you know that 90% of Americans do not know the capital of Australia?" And "What does wifi stand for?" Most people do not know until i tell them. I say that you learn something new everyday. I hope i have gave you some tips. Good luck and have a good one!

Is there a way to save a bonus?

If you have a bonus and have to do something and can't take a ride at the time then put it in airplane mode until you can accept rides again. Your bonus will still be there.

You are right but its good to save a bonus. If you are in an area and got a bonus then go to another area where there is no bonus and a ride comes in and decline it then you lose your bonus. If you have a bonus and do this method then your bonus is still there. It can be a $3, $5, $8 bonus or more. I've gotten a $35 bonus during a busy weekend. The ride was only a mile and paid $5 but the bonus was quite rewarding. Shoot, i think i went home after that ride. That's extra money to have if you know how to keep it.

Bro declining rides doesn’t affect your rating at all … I have declined thousands and thousands of shity rides and my rating it’s just like yours 😊
