Dimash was offered a place in the Astana Ópera, but he refused because he wanted to be creative and experience different styles of music. And he gave us the most beautiful experience as far as music

Hello William! The finalists of Super Vocals was invited to participate in the competition The Singer in 2019. In one of the episodes they were to sing with a guest artist: Dimash. Ayunga is the guy you commented "lovely voice", he is from Mongolia and a musical artist. Indeed a great voice.
The Super Vocal competition was really fun to watch. There is one of the other participants you should check out: Zhou Shen aka Charlie Zhou. He has a lovely counter tenor/sopranist voice. But please don't forget to watch more of Dimash. You should watch Karagym-Ai and you still have Passione by Igor Krutoy left and many more! Cheers from 🇸🇪.

love this! Yes, Dimash’s voice is unique and easily identifiable. I love that this performance demonstrates what a team player he is; he never tried to show off. He was INVITED by the Super Vocal Boys to perform with them. The second singer was a competitor on the show; Dimash was an invited guest.

@@BangkokVoiceCoach truly they are! I believe the only other member of this group that I have actively sought out to listen to is the second artist to sing. It is challenging to find the names to listen, but I believe they are: Supervocal (Ga Ayun, Cai Chengyu, and Ju Hongchuan). I have heard a few of the other projects put out under Supervocal such as their version of “Into the Unknown”. Truly incredible harmonies and definitely world class. It is unfortunate that there is so often a prejudice by Western cultures against anyone not familiar. Seriously limits the ability to explore, enjoy and promote singers from other countries. Probably why I enjoy exploring artists from around the world! Cheers from Canada!

This was on Singer 2019. Super Vocal Boys (who had been formed on Super Vocal Show) were competing. And Dimash was their guest singer. The first singer from Super Vocal Boys (in silver jacket) is Mongolian singer, Ayanga. He's a Singer, Dancer, actor, Theatre actor, composer etc. His back story is fascinating. His parents died when he was a toddler. His big brother brought him up, with his wife. Just as Ayanga was going off to College, his big brother died. So, Ayanga stayed to help his sister-in-law bring up his big brothers children. He does an amazing performance of song "Big Brother". The other two Super Vocal Boys are Cai Chengyu next to Ayanga. And Ju Hongchuan next to Dimash.

You're right! He was a special guest they chose to sing a medly with them when they performed as a group on the "Singer" show a few years after Dimash was on it. They were some of the finalists on "Super Vocal", which is an awesome show and has some wonderful opportunities for you to react to wonderfully trained young singers from the fields of classical and musical theater.

When Dimash, and sometimes with those that accompany him, especially with cover songs, the integrity of the original is preserved while offering something different enough to make the performances stand out and somehow can be seen as original in themselves. It is often talked about by Professional Singers and Coaches that Dimash manages to sing music already "out there" and to believe it is better than the original. In fact, I have read that Celine Dion herself has "handed" her song "All By Myself" to Dimash, stating that, "he sings it better than me" Great reaction, Will. I have been a fan of "Queen" for many years!

Love this! Great singing from the Super Vocal Boys too. Did my ears deceive me or did Dimash actually hit an A5 in the melisma using his mixed voice at 8:10 ? I think he did!

This performance was on Singer 2019. These guys were performing with a fourth singer who had to step out for this episode and Dimash was invited to participate.

Completely agree with you about the opera community, having grown up singing in Choral Society’s, there’s a rather high level of arrogance, I call it opera snobbery, and I love classical music and opera, but I can definitely do without the put on snobbery.

Have you seen the Queen Medley from Shine Super Brothers. It's fantastic as well as Suzhou River which is done to the tune of Danny Boy.
The guys with whom Dimash sings were invited to the show I am a Singer-2019, in 2018 they took part in the Super Vocal competition of classical singers, which is why the group is called Super Voсal Boys. The first, Ju Hongchuan, a baritone, was born in China, but an ethnic Kazakh, emigrated to America. Singer, musician, writes songs and arranges his own songs. The second is Ayunga, an ethnic Mongolian, a very popular musical actor, singer (tenor) and dancer in China. The first two are over thirty at the time of the performance. The last speaker, Cai Chengyu, a tenor, was graduating from the conservatory at the time of his performance, and here he is only 19 years old. Now he is very successful and in great demand. At one of the qualifying rounds for the Super Vocal show, Dimash was a guest member of the jury and especially noted these participants. By the way, they were all among the finalists. And next year, as winners, they were invited to participate in the show I am a singer, because only stars participate in this competition. According to the terms of the competition, participants could choose which of the stars invited to the last round they would like to sing with.

They look as if they are having fun!!! So relaxed, all for 1 & 1 for all. They all dress so nicely and show their artistic skills within themselves. The 70"s in UK they did perform to the audience, videos were virtually non existent. It was great fun to go to school next day to say "I went to see......" at the age of 14. Top of the Pops, be all & end all. Shame it fell on choir practice night xx
Isn't this fantastic. I'm so pleased you have seen this as it is SO good especially the extreme notes as Dimash harmonises with the group. It will take too long to explain who they all are but that is what you get from from 4 classically trained singers. Even if you don't react to them all you will love the show Super Vocals Eng Subs as it is a competition for classical singers from Opera and Musical Theatre. I love it and have watched all 12 episodes at least 3 times......no, more than that. Wonderful show and you get to know the characters and their personalities. Please watch it as you get the time. Does 36 Classically trained singers, all under 35, singing in duets, trios etc tempt you? I do hope so. Perhaps you could discuss a few of the performances and explain what you think. That would be awesome. Can't wait for more.

The 'boy' next to Dimash is Ayunga. He is from Inner Mongolia, China and grew up listening to Mongolian folksongs. He is also a trained musical actor and has now boosted the industry of musical theater in China along with other participants in the Show "Super Vocal". He has a very versatile voice and has since become very famous in China.
Apart from his performances on Singer 2019, he has many solos, duos etc. worth checking out. From Super Vocal show I recommend: "Yellow Grasslands" (mongolian folksong about a dying warrior, who longs for his family on the waste battlefield. He writes them a letter using his blood as ink and his garments as parchment), "Music of the Night/Phantom of the Opera" duo, "I'll Cover You" from Rent duet, "Love's Atonement" trio.

Dimash competed on the show I Am A Singer 2017 where he got 2nd as the rules didn't allow a Non-Asian to win even though they invited him to compete as the 1st Non-Asian and Youngest ever competitor. Then he was a guest on 1 episode of Singer 2018 where he sang a cover of Lionel Richie's song Hello. And they had changed the rules so Jessie J competed and won. Dimash is the best. However, as a lead singer in an 80"s rock band such as VanHalen, Motley Crue, etc....I don't see it. Just my opinion. Someday, give us a tour of where you live. Its Cold here in Michigan. Love your honest reviews and reactions to all the singers you review.

I think you missed hearing Dimash go up from the F5 . A great tribute to Freddy and Queen. I think he would have approved. 😄
P.s.....the folks in the back room at the end are all involved in the show. Look carefully at the gentlemen in the white jacket with red on the front. He is one of the biggest music producers in China and you will see his face in the darker audience pictures from The Singer 2017. He even shows amazement at Dimash's performances in that show.
