I think the point is that Kyo sees as Yuki stealing/taking over everything should have been his; the rat took away the cat's place in the zodiac and Kyo sees his whole life through that lens. So he also "took" - contaminated by touching - the hat. I think the real significance here is that finally Yuki and Kyo are beginning to talk to each other, which is a thing they've never done. Neither one of them has ever understood the other's life or seriously questioned his view of the other up till now. They've hated, blamed, yelled and hit each other, but they've never communicated. Yuki is starting to find his voice, and Kyo is starting to hear him. He's still got that knee-jerk anger going on, but the words are getting through and he's beginning to look at and question the ideas he's been clinging to as his coping mechanism.
Right! I love the development of Yuki and Kyo's relationship. And I just realized the parallel of this scene on the stairs and the one at the end of the story (which is my favorite) --you can see a faint glimmer of this later interaction here.
Regarding what the play is, well - it’s something. 😂 You’ll just have to keep going. Two recommendations for you, first one I’ve said before and it’s Spy x Family, the second is Oshi No Ko. Which is blowing up like crazy.
@@THEE_ADRIAN Just an FYI - if you do dive in to Oshi No Ko, be aware the premeire episode of the series is nearly 90 minutes in length - so you might want to consider splitting it into three different segments after recording it to make the editing process easier for you.

Funny how you can just say “immediately” and probably more than half of us know what you’re quoting😂😂😂
You’re so good at connecting everything the show throws at you! Great analysis!
I LOVE how the correct opinion to have about Yuki is that he's a damsel and a rat bastard (affectionate) and not a prince
next episode is pure fire :) I can't waitt
