This was the first video I've watched with your teaching. You explained everything so very well, and showed each step, so a novice like me could feel as though we could make it easily. Thank you for teaching us a new addition to our crafts.
You do such an amazing job at getting up close views for us Amy and I for one really appreciate that you do that. You are a great teacher, I am looking forward to seeing more kam snap tutorials! This one is super cute! Hugs, Brenda
I'm so happy to hear this video is helpful to you, Sarah! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I can't wait to hear how it goes when you try using these snaps. :)
Thank you. It's good to see you discovered the benefits of kam snap. I have one I use in real leather projects and I'm glad I got it. It works well for thin leather that is like faux leather. And that site you use for faux leather is really cool. I might use them for making doll items as well as continue to use my real leather. The faux will come in handy with prototypes, and when I want to do prints.
I'm so glad you like this project! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. I hope you will continue to enjoy Cricut crafting time with your granddaughter for many years to come!
Outstanding tutorial. You really simplified the process but took time to share your experience and what details ensure a quality craft. Very well done. I can’t wait to see what else you can come up with to use these snaps.
Hi, Stacy! Thanks for your note! I do try to get clear close ups when I can, so I'm glad you were able to see them well. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I made one of these and put the snaps on today. I wanted to flatten the sides and flap, so I tried putting it in my heat press (off, of course!) it worked great except for one small thing. The snap bulged out the leather on the back! Not a problem though, because I discovered it was a great holder for my license and cards that I usually have loose in this bag that won’t fit my wallet! I will be making more, but I will do the flattening BEFORE I add the snaps!
I think there very pretty , but the accessories are very expensive on Amazon Canada. Maybe using adhesive velcro pieces to attach the little money wallet . 😊
Hi, thanks for your comment! I'm not sure if regular snaps could go through three layers of faux leather, so that's why I recommend these extra long snaps. :)
Hi, I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed this video! That makes me so happy to hear. :) I buy my faux leather on Amazon and Etsy. I have links to the exact faux leathers I use in every TH-cam video description for your convenience! Here's the link to my favorite faux leather shop on Etsy. The quality is excellent and they have gorgeous prints and patterns: thepolkadottedpeach.com/?aff=3 If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Hi, thanks for your question! Do you mean on faux leather? I don't think that would work because it could scratch the front side of the faux leather. I think gently folding the faux leather folds over something like a ruler could work, though.
Hi, Amy! I clicked on your materials link to get more information on the faux leather you used, but can't find any dimensions for thickness. I've never heard of the "paper thin" and was wondering if supplies I already have may be adequate. Thank you!
Hi, Maria! I cut faux leather every day and I rarely have trouble with the faux leather being too thick, so it's not something I worry about. The Faux Leather (Paper Thin) setting has a misleading name in my opinion! It makes it should like the faux leather must be very thin to cut, and that's not the case. The faux leather I use most, from the link I shared in this video, cuts beautifully with a Cricut using my suggested cut settings. I hope that helps!
Hello, thanks for your message! If you are looking for the link to the SVG I feature in this video, it's in my SVG shop, not on Etsy. :) It's linked in the video itself and also in the description. These would be great in business card size too
Oh yes, Donna! I would need to make them a little shorter. I'll play around with that!

That's a great alternative, Dianne! Thanks for making the suggestion!
I am wanting to purchase the svg for coin purse in this video.

So cute, could you use reg snaps?
Hi, thanks for your comment! I'm not sure if regular snaps could go through three layers of faux leather, so that's why I recommend these extra long snaps. :)
I really enjoyed this and am feeling inspired. Where do you get your faux leather? Any certain shops?

Would a scoring stylus help with score lines or would it not work?
Hi, thanks for your question! Do you mean on faux leather? I don't think that would work because it could scratch the front side of the faux leather. I think gently folding the faux leather folds over something like a ruler could work, though.
Is this available in your website?

Great! Thank you the information.@@AmyRomeu
@@AmyRomeu which side is down touching the mat? One type of faux leather I can use has a fuzzy side and another one has a fiber/burlap back..
@@sandral4786 Hi, Sandra! I always put the pretty side of the faux leather down on the mat. :)
My cropadile could probably replace the pliers.
I haven't tried using one, but you could give it a go! :)
I clicked on your Etsy shop link and it says you are on break and there is nothing to view.
