I've seen others take tape and go over the burnt areas to get soot off, did you have to do that too?? Again, thank you for being amazing and Inspiring. I got a cricut maker 3years ago. I have yet to turn it on. I had one of the first silhouette machines and I wanted a cricut maker. They are completely different. I have been watching all of these videos to learn all the steps!

I love my torch paste! I also have a torch pen that works on the same premise.
I just watched Crafting in Mimi’s World DIY homemade torch paste. Her video was from a year or so ago but I’m sure there’s a recipe online. It worked just as good as the brand name.

RE: Shadow Letters -- Don't you want to get rid of the overlapping material in the "background" color so that you don't have a lump in the finished product where the background layer ends in the middle of the letter? Does Maker have that feature?

Thanks for sharing all the projects. I purchased the torch gel. I tried to stencil on the large Dollar tree cutting board and it did not work, so I purchased the marker and free handed the person's last name and a sunflower. It turned out awesome. Not sure why the gel did not work, maybe because I did use a paintbrush to put the gel on the Bamboo cutting board. Wow, did not know that they have puff vinyl. I sure do miss some store from Naperville, like Menard's, Meijer, and Casey. Have a great day.
You are so welcome! I think because the DT boards has sealants on it, the paste doesn’t work as well. I have only used unfinished wood, glad to know the scorch pens work on the sealed wood :)
Everytime you and the others share Cricut DIYs it makes me want one even more but right now funds are so extremely extremely tight. I need surgery and all our extra money is going towards it.
