I did a search as I was trying to figure out how to separate the drum kit onto different tracks and your video showed up. First time for me. Well communicated. I’m going to give it a shot after rewatching a couple of times as I have little experience. I’m using Cubase Pro 12 at the moment. Earlier, I duplicated the track and simply deleted everything but the bass drum. This is better . Thank you for sharing.

You really helped me here. Key point being to start by deleting my existing Abbey Road and reload it. Pulled my hair out for ages trying to get the channels to change before this suggestion. It's insane how difficult they made this in kontakt

Thanks a lot for this video :D RIght now i try to figure out to route multiple instruments into a single specific output (for an example out 2) So i can route all my close mics into a single close mic out. But your video was rlly well explained ! Thumbs up!

my only problem is 'OH' can't separate hi hat , ride , bell , they are on 1 layer in Kontakt , I use FL Studio , I do know routing it to a sampler , but to seperate OH is not something I know yet

The volume level has dropped because you're not going through the master channel in BUSES in the VST which like the other channels has effects on it which probably increase the volume. This may be more than just a volume drop, because it's not going through the effects. I was also confused about that until I figured this out. Hope that helps

I would like to set my outputs in mono but there is unfortunately only a stereo option. It is a "little bit" less professional, because there should be an option to route this channels in mono. If you want to use an external hardware, for example a compressor on kick or a snare, you have to use for example a two mono compressors on a kick channel that should be in mono anyway .

this is helpful. thank you for these info. but how about if i want outputs for the ride, crash and splash? is that possible for abbey road?

I don't think it's possible within those instruments. If you need the isolated cymbals, you could load another instance of Abbey Road within the one instance of Kontakt for each cymbal, but on a separate MIDI channel, and change the MIDI channel of the notes in your DAW accordingly. Or copy the motes to a separate track and bounce/render in place for less CPU usage.
