- It hurt to do it, but this Shelby GLH Omni was just too far gone to save by me. The cost and passion just weren't there. All the good L-body and Shelby turbo stuff is going to go into my 1982 Dodge Rampage to make a Shelby GLH Rampage. F to pay respect.

Just wanted to say your ability to work on cars is awesome, as is your can-do attitude. Enjoyed how you got some of your family in some earlier videos, too. While the Omni couldn't be saved, I must say the Rampage isn't a super common car by any stretch either... so you're doing it a huge service by bringing it back to life. As someone who is looking for a Rampage, your videos are very insightful for potential problems to look out for. I hope you enjoyed that $25! Pretty soon you'll be flying down the highway in your rebuilt Rampage :-)

@@snaph Preferably 82-83, which looks like yours. The 84 grill doesn't strike me. Have you seen the examples of Rampages with the mid '80s Charger grill/front included? Striking cars.
I actually bid on one a couple weeks ago, but couldn't even hit reserve at $7,500 which was already a stretch. A fine Rampage sold this week on eBay for $3,450. But it didn't have a title, and the seller said I could get one... probably 100% correct, but it made me nervous.

I actually have two charger front ends in my side yard! Absolutely the best look. I agree with the title. If it’s so easy, then get it.

Yeah, I really hated to do it. A big problem now is that there really isn’t much aftermarket for these and the junkyards just don’t have the parts cars like they used to.
A GLHS would have been worth restoring, but this one was just a little too rough to justify for me. Every panel needed something.
