Yes I have an ethnic jewelry collection too, and I do try to buy from ethnic artisans or from the country of origin so that I can support people from that community/culture (even if it's a bit more expensive). 🫶🏼
Yes. Im part native american and capeverdean and love mixing African and native american together or doing them separately. It feels right and natural to me.
I love embracing my curly hair! Whenever I wear my curls out, the attention I get is crazy 😂.I wear my hair in messy low bun look, makes my appearance look softer and feminine. Wigs on me doesn’t suit me so I stay far from that . I usually stick to middle parts or bangs. Light make up goes long way. My favorite parts of my face is my big brown eyes , baby face and my curly lashes. Since my family is from Trinidad, we have so many cultures so I have some much to choose from ( from Indian to Venezuela haha it’s a big pool of everyone and I’m here for it honey )
I'm part Native, and I wear traditional jewelry almost daily. It's almost like, it just naturally enhances my features, and add to the "mystique" of my "exotical" looks 😊
I love it! This is right up my alley right now. I worn my 3B hair natural for like...10+years. I haven't straightened it in forever. I keep seeing myself in this straight hairstyle with those asian bangs! Yes, the Bayang! LOL!
I love being exotical. Got all my life UA blacks act like they didn’t want me around or are jealous of me. So I’ll proudly start proclaiming my mixed ancestry. I wear curly wigs and extensions.
I just ordered clip ins to add length and volume that hopefully will blend in with my coils. So this was right on time as usual. It's fun trying different things.
Oooooooooh clip ins are the Shit! I used to love adding clip ins to my ponytail before I went walking on the trail in my city! I was turning so many heads with my Ariana grande ponytail 😂😂
The necklace part! My best friend sent me a DR map necklace and a Puerto Rican noticed it right away 😂 He even got close to me and grabbed it lmao by the way, I don’t know if you’ve noticed Tyla, she usually wears her outfits different shades of brown or black etc.. for some reason takes me straight to Africa. Seems like her outfits somewhat represent her culture as well as her hair styles which is a great idea! Totally agree with you! The jewelry is key! Specially those wooden ones! Also, freckles are BEAUTIFUL!! My mom has them and now she dyed her hair like a gingery red (her natural hair is black), but that red hair dye suits her SO WELL with her freckles! She looks like a ginger and she’s lighter than me with curly hair.
OMG this reminds me of when I put up the French flag in my pfp in solidarity for a tragedy that happened there years ago. I have a French grandparent. This pro-black hotep dude came screaming into my DMs about colonizers and how I should be using the Pan-African flag as my photo instead. I told him I'm part French and he blocked me. 😂
@@ExoticalsUnited I've seen these types of people upset when other black people have their kids learn other languages like French, because it's a "colonizer" or "white man language".. Meanwhile they're speaking English while chastising those people. Make it make sense!
I love how you strictly say the truth and you never try to put anyone down (even if people take the truth as negative, thats their fault) but you always maintain a fairness! Also definitely gonna try these tips! and its so silly how people try to tell us that "why do you make your culture apart of your personality" even though they havent even taken the time to try to understand their own history and culture (which is such a essential thing to be honest)
right, your cultural background IS a part of your personality. for example the strength, the originality, and the rhythm of black culture- is that NOT a part of a lot of black peoples personality? and thats a good thing! but why cant i have good qualities from my cultures too?
I used to feel uncomfortable but im glad that i learn about my background and definitely use jewelry, clothes to represent my roots❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉❤. Love the points!!!!!
Omg when you showed the t-shirt with Celia Cruz I got hyped since I'm cuban🇨🇺 too. I have indigenous, chinese, white, north and west african background. When I flat iron my curly hair or braid it simply, I'm told I look even more like my beautiful native great-grandma. My smile is already like hers. I'm growing my hair even longer (currently waist length), and I love flowy dresses like many women in my family, I even inherited some from them. I'm also going to get more ethnic jewelry and learn about my great-grandpa's culture. He was from Canton City, China.
I always love wearing my beaded native mexican jewelry, mexican skirts and tops. I love wearing my INH yaki straight ponytail. my mom and all the mexican women in my family have long, straight, thick black hair so i love replicating it. I hate when people assume it’s because I want to be closer to whiteness, NO! Indigenous American women are proud of their long hair as it is sacred! I will have to start incorporating the colors of the Bahamian flag to my wardrobe 🇧🇸🔥
Less is more on me. Makeup takes from my natural look. I look much better without it. I just maintain my healthy skin, keep my lips supple and moisten. and my thick eyebrows tamed.I usually wear my hair smoothed back in a bun. I love and collect vintage earrings, cowboy boots. Off the shoulder tops and bangles. And I always get compliments on my smell. Prince fans always say I remind them of the girls he performed with. Im simple and not into trends at all.

Can you talk about your experiences with being an MLS Black/mixed women and traveling or since your are a Black/mixed MLS women who is also light skinned can talk about that specifically as well or just the experiences you've noticed other light skin exoticals have because I think that is very important. Especially when I look up black women and travel it is mostly dark-sinned unambiguous black women talking about their experience traveling and how negative it can be sometimes while calling it the black experience and just mainly being the face of black women and travel. Which is difficult for me because as a persona who is a Mono-racial MLS black women who is specifically light skinned as well as also being on my journey to improve my looks so I can benefit from certain privileges via losing weight/having healthy curls/enhance my golden complexion etc. I found myself not being able to relate or at least entirely to the women who are mainly the face of black women in travel. Like I have list of MLS black women and their different experiences when it comes to travel and its not the same. The examples of women I have witnessed have only have good experiences from what I have seen are Rihanna, Lauren lewis, Asia Monet ray, Vinetria, Alba Ramos, Tyla, Juliana Nalu, Karrueche Tran's and Yara shahidi. And an example because I only have one of a women where there experience was leaning more towards being in between good and bad is Briana Monique. And women where at sometimes their experiences were just bad are Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and Saweetie. By the way I just put those names so you could have examples of MLS women in terms of travel and just how people treat them in different regions and they are all also light skinned because I am light skinned and I want to learn more about How I will specifically be treated especially when I improve my looks (meaning curls, weight, enhance my golden complexion etc) because I want to travel to so many places but wonder but want to know how I will be received. So I just want to know what you think about those women and the way they carry themselves because I did notice that women who have better experiences tend to be multicultural and women who don't tend to be monocutlural but that is the only thing I know but I want to know everything about what makes A MLS women have good experiences when traveling and with other people. and could you please do multiple videos on this because the information would be very helpful for a lot of MLS women and you can also do separate videos on this topic for dark-sinned exoticals/M (M stands for mixed) women too because I am sure they would love that for them as well.
I love long ethnic jewelry (especially Asian, African, and native American).
