Mousse is the GOAT product for me right now. So agreed! After sitting under a hooded dryer and unraveling, your hair feels so SOFT! It felt like I did twists on a silky blowout or something.
@@Offthebeatenpath. I tried the design essentials and the ORS. It didn't weigh my hair down. Unlike with my other products I was not heavy-handed which I think makes the difference.
Preach! I use mousse for every style now. It makes sense if you are doing a wet set. A twist/braid/bantu knot-out is basically just a rollerset without rollers. Same concept. It smooths the hair, molds the style and sets quick with great definition. Mousse it the perfect product. You also don't need tons of layers of heavy product with mousse. I just use a serum and mousse and it's perfect.
I had to come back to say Thank you SO much. I’ve been natural for years and twist outs have always been a hit or miss and more times then not I ended up not being able to wear it out. I tried the mousse as you suggested and it’s a game changer!! I was actually able to rock my twist out today it came out so nice and not at all wet! Also, no flakes and not crunchy! I’m so grateful for your video 🙏🏾
Goldynaps?! Your name alone is hilarious but I can’t stop watching your videos because you’re just so watchable. I’m a 60-year-old gay guy, not black, not a hairdresser but I’m just fascinated by the magic you perform with your mane all with your warm and accessible personality. Sheer witchcraft (pun intended)! Well done you.
Best advice ever. I did a twist out using one product: Cantu Shea Butter Wave Whip Curling Mousse and my hair is so soft and defined. It also dried a lot faster. Thank you!! 🙏🏽
I think hair foams and mousse products are so under-rated. My curls pop so much more with those products. They set the curls like gel does but they are much softer and defined.
You should ALWAYS sit under a dryer. Thank you for doing this. Some people demonize heat when it's MORE damaging, immediately and over time, to air dry.
@@msf8297 It is damaging. The term is called hair weathering. The information on this is out there. Don't take my word for it. Truly research for yourself and don't take my word or anyone else's word for it.
@@paris283 bc the water blows your cuticles out and damages your hair from the inside out. its actually not good for your hair to air dry, esp dense hair
@@paris283 Using heat incorrectly can be damaging. Using heat alone is not. I encourage you to spend time on researching the science of hair, and why it is important to not just simply follow these "natural hair hacks" that you see on so many people post. Trust me. I did them all and got nowhere. Not until I went back to the basics.
Don't mousse's add much more body? I have dry, high porosity coarse hair. I always start with leave-in conditioner, then oil and anti-frizz serum or gel after the LIC and add the others when dry. But it doesn't always stay clumped no matter what I do! Is there ANY mousse for people with my kind of hair who don't want to add volume??

thank you!!

@Goldynaps, can you do a twist out on blowdryed hair?
'And here's the finished look...' poses like I'm a baddy! 😂😂

Which mousse? Did it way your hair down or make it stiff?
@@Offthebeatenpath. I tried the design essentials and the ORS. It didn't weigh my hair down. Unlike with my other products I was not heavy-handed which I think makes the difference.
😂 that is me right now. I used the crème of nature mousse. With the liquid leave in. My hair is so bouncy and soft❤ mousse to the go to for me
@Michelle H I've never tried the liquid leave-in, but I finally tried the mousse and I love it! So I'll definitely add it to my next shopping list.
Does mouse have sodium in it

The Doux Mousse Def Texture Foam is AMAZING
It flaked on me, but my son uses it. I’m going to try Lottabody. I need greasy, oily and buttery products for my bone dry hair and scalp.
I love the Doux mousse just started using it, my hair loves it as well
@@biaccagreen7157 it's my favorite for flat twist ... my hair holds for almost a week with it!
STUNNING RESULTS😭
I love The Doux but I was having an allergic reaction & I think it’s from an ingredient in the product, but not sure what, so I stopped using it.
Girl the twists look so bomb on you!!!

😍
Shrinkage and her hair have no relationship 😅
MOUSSE and FOAM is A MUST!!!!! Your hair LOOKED AMAZINGGGG!!!!
isn’t it the same thing ? mousse means foam
@@tekla_ mousse is a thicker consistency
Even the twists alone look so good on u too! 😍
Absolutely beautiful. And the twists themselves are great.
Girl!!!! Those twists are EVERYTHING!!!
You know what? You’re right. That’s exactly what I use and my hair never dries. lol. Thank you.
Girl i needed this videos 2 years and 3 months ago
😂

thank you!!
Thank You! I’ve been using gel and mousse , they never came out right. I’m definitely going too start using mousse . Thanks girl 💖💖
You do not need gel. Just use the styling foam
My jaw hit the floor.🤯
Absolutely gorgeous 😍 best twist out I've seen. I just hate using heat on my hair.

NAHHHHH YOU SLAYEDD THIS ONE
So true. Used to use the blue Lottabody setting lotion. I may consider buying a hood dryer. Tfs!!
You look like Steph Curry! 😂😂
I hate when she does not show the products she use
Gurl, that was a great tip, and you look gorgeous ❣️
That voice change at the end sparked confidence 😌I need to use a blowdry. I normally put mines in a loose ponytail and take it down the 3rd day.
I’m allergic to mousse. I simply don’t touch my twist outs until they are completely dry.
How many twists?🙂
My daughter is mixed w 4C hair I’m trying trying to braid her hair (wish me luck lol) but I need a setting mousse do you recommend one?
Now that’s a uniform twist out 👏🏾
This is one of the best and most simplest twist out methods ever no gels..etc 💯😊 much appreciated ❤
It’s beyond gorgeous ❤️💯 Thanks for the tips
what mouse
Hello Beautiful thank you so much for this video. Question, is your hair dry and then you wet it again with the spray then add the mouse?
Oh my! That turned out so yummy! You are gorgeous and your hair is beautiful!
If my hair could do this, I would faint. All it does is be straight and flat. You have awesome hair!
You need the hair dryer
wait, so can i put leave in conditioner in my hair before a twist out though?
You can if you want to, it’s not necessary though & I don’t personally use leave-in before applying mousse
WOW!! Absolutely beautiful!!😍 what’s the brand of mousse or foam do you use or does brand matter? Thanks!!
Was your hair stretched or blown out before applying the mousse?
@Goldynaps which gel did you use to sleek the front??
Never tried a mousse only wash n go . The doux mousse sounds like it’ll do the trick
STUNNING.
OMG!!! This is perfection. I am going to do this using your advice.
Oh, and if you have high porosity hair, mousse may not help. You'll need some kind of heavy product to hold in moisture.
You Have Nice Pretty Skin Girl It’s Clear Okurrr #PrettyVibes
Did you blow dry it out before you put the foam in and twisted?
Why your voice changed with the finished look 😂
I think hair foams and mousse products are so under-rated. My curls pop so much more with those products. They set the curls like gel does but they are much softer and defined.
Woow!! Look so nice!!👏🏼👏🏼
Hair turned out so pretty ! What is your hair color called ? And I thought foam and mousse was the same thing ?
Can we talk about the way black girls have been doing this for decades but all of a sudden certain people are acting like this is something new? Tf
Love it thanks for tip my twist out was frizzy today anyways you and your hair look beautiful I will buy some of that setting mouse.
How do you maintain the twist? Do you need to twist every night?
Now THAT'S a look I could love! I'll try that as soon as I can buy the bonnet dryer.
How do i search for that specific type of water spray bottle?
I did this style yesterday and my twists has so must shrinkage 😢 how do I maintain the length?

Why don’t you separate as you untwist?
Do the get me wrong foam cant still take forever!

You are gorgeous sis 🥰and thanks for the natural hair tips.I’m new to wearing my natural hair so I need all the tips I can get lol 😂
Please what’s the name of the foam you used?
Would you suggest adding a leave in before applying the foam?
May I know the name on those two bottles ma'am?😌
I never knew about twisting until i saw ur videos. Thank u i will definitely try it soon since i have the same type of hair.
What’s the foam and mouse she used anyone?
Looks great! What are those hair clips that you use to lay the front?
Facts, foam is that DEEEEEEAAAALLLL ❤
Gorgeous turn out!
How did you get the twists to look like that tho
Sis you know the real deal
How long will this last? I need hold
but what happens to ur voice when u do the reveal?! lol ...beautiful though
? idk what you mean lol, i just say here's the finished look
ey how many twists u have here ? ty !
She said here’s the finished look she knows she ate that 😂
Whever I separate its a hot mess..
Thank you and your end result is beautiful
Thank youuuu for this!
I never use foam because It makes my hair fluffy and not defined.. I’m on the hunt now. Creams and gels are the only thing that give me definition.
You just KNOW you’re gorgeous!!! ❤️🔥☺️ Thanks for the tip!
What brand are u using
Is ur natural hair curly at all
What is the dryer name?
Looks better just before the final look
Yasssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!

You ate Sis! 😍😍😍
