    God bless your soul, Arturo, it's in your trumpet at the moment. It cries, it grieves, it flies after the one who's gone.

    Auturo Sandoval performing this most eligant and truly a masterpiece of music is by far the best rendition of all. The others are nice but Arturo's beautiful way of playing and the background on the organ blends into music never to be forgotten. While listening I always gets a mood of total relaxation that lasts the entire day.

    Arturo Sandavol is performing the most eligant rendition and it is a masterpiece of music and by far the best rendition ever recorded. The others are nice but Arturo's beautiful way of playing and the organ accompanying blends into a perfect recording.
    While listening most every day it gets me in a mood of complete relaxation for the entire day.

    What passion Arturo Sandoval put into this tribute. I know he was a true lover of Clifford Brown; me too.

    It sounds to me like he's recounting his favorite memories of the man. It feels so personal and intimate.

    they all play it well, uniquely in their own interpretation with their own emotional inflection, that's what makes it so diverse and itneresting to listen too. clifford brown greatly respected by all. true jazz great.

    The skill and articulation Arturo has when playing low notes and high notes without blasting, is just amazing.

    It is refreshing/amazing/encouraging to see Arturo playing from his heart instead of playing TO the masses who slop up high notes like trash thrown to hogs.

    If you are a trumpet player that truly appreciates Clifford, it isn't too surprising to cry playing this tune. Check out Roy Hargrove's video of this. A beautiful rendition of this tune is very moving.

    i really prefer him playing this way, than giving soo many notes, it allows for more emphasis on each note choice

    O.K. so he's not Lee Morgan or Freddie, but it's still lovely, and frankly I'd give my left ball to be able to play this well. Accept it for what it is: damn good!

    Maybe it was the miking, but Sandoval needs more punch and presence for this lovely piece. His performance is too withdrawn.

    Arturo is good. But for me its ruined as soon as the electronic keyboard plays. rather hear, freddie or lee do it than Arturo anyday.

  • @hennign30
    @hennign30 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    Im sorry to say it but Freddie plays this 100000000 times better then this guy. I also think this tune fits better with trumpet. but thats just my thoughts,,,

    i say freddie hubbard does it better than both lee morgan and arturo sandoval.
