So this basicly proves Joytoy is still king when it comes to warhammer figures, price range is reasonable and quality is pretty good for what you get, they also realease new figure every month compare to bandai which is every year....
Yeah, that missing "heft" from this one - compared to the Bandai Gravis Captain - is because it doesn't have any of the stuff adding that heft to the Gravis Captain, to keep you from realizing it's in the main exactly the same light hollow plastic as this one: all the "gold" decorative panels on the armor, the chain belt and its ornaments, and the soles of the boots on the Gravis Captain were diecast metal, that's where the weight was coming from. I hadn't realized from the early promo photos when this was announced but they actually cut off the bottom of the chapter symbol on the left pauldron, presumably because the "rope" would cover it... but then it doesn't actually? Bizarre choice really.
Thank you brother Sprues. This clearly proves that JoyToy is the best w40k action figured producer. That helmet is kind of weird, bandai is better at doing mechas i thik.
It's either Joytoy small scale/high price and quality or Mcfarlane: large scale/low price with little paint. Bandai is sorta limping in between the two.
I've been keeping an eye out for new 40K releases from Bandai, but apparently I missed this completely. And after the review, I don't feel badly about that. 😄 Thanks for the review!
Same here mate, I bought all the other Bandai WH40k figs, with their extremely long pre-order time, but I completely missed this one last October and didn't see it mentioned on any of the toy news websites.
Hey! Been watching your videos the last few days to get a "preview" of a few action figures I might get in the future. Just wanted to say thanks for all your work and investment!
Looks awful, hard pass. Hardly any details the helmet has a black mark on it. The yellow helmet looks flat and no real weathering just quick airbrushing. For the price it's just rubbish.
Oh Man, Bandai cheeped out. I have the original two Bandai Ultras and the Imperial Fist, and the quality has taken a step down. I wonder if this is a quick release like movie studios do to keep their license agreement with GW.
your sacrifice will never be forgotten. all hail space king

Price range is horrible, at a store they were charging 160 for a terminator
To be honest, I think that JOYTOY figures, with all limitations, are a better deal for my money! Thank you for sacrificing for us!

lol...shame as a reviewer, I didn't even catch that detail until I saw your comment and looked myself

hit the nail on the head with that one
For me the only good quality is from Joy Toy.
One the main reasons I stick with Joytoy for Warhammer stuff especially when it comes to the quality and the prices it's much better.
I have the Bandai ultramarine. He scales well as a firstborn marine with the McFarland marines. You get joytoy articulation closer to McFarland scale.

TBH, you aren't missing out on much. Just a more expensive and better painted McF scaled figure
I happened to be on the GW website when this was announced so I said why the f not....

That's what I'm here for...
I DIDNT KNOW BANDAI STILL HAD THE RIGHTS 2 THESE...
Could buy 3 joytoys marines are 4 mcfarlanes for a price of one Bandai finger that's just a different color
I didn't realize Bandai were doing any more Warhammer 40k figures.
They come out of nowhere most of the time
The Bandai Blood Angel Captain has more paint than the McFarlane Blood Angel Captain, yet doesn’t look as good in my opinion.
Impressive how Joytoy is smaller and cheaper, and still has a better level of detail, Bandai did disappoint with its Warhammer 40k line
Not worth it for me, lots of paint details needs to be done and for the price it should be perfect😢
JoyToy gets my money, thanks for the review🙂
JT is definitely the fuel for this channel too
Bandai lost their damn minds with these prices. No way would I drop $100+ on this with Joytoy's figures running circles around it.
I 100% agree

the quality has always been pretty meh, Joytoy still the best
No clue but the quality for the money is lacking in these releases
