Idol was a much tougher and competitive competition with weekly live votes from audiences, this Voice competition had coaches picking everyone up until the finale, doesn't really work in getting the fans support
I think what really made this a great performance was every time it seemed like the song was gonna ramp up for effect, they brought it back to that subtle sweet spot that really compliments Skye's voice. This was a beautiful performance. Skye delivered it so freak'n well.

From the U.S. Skye is such an unbelievable talent, and like others have said, doesn’t need the title of “winner” of the voice to get a record deal and be successful in the music industry.
I think you are mistaking idol fran hide for the voice. It’s been eons since the voice had original songs for the winning artist because it’s not an instant release fo the record anymore.
He's amazing. He has a bit of an electronic autotuned sound, but 100% isn't (just making sure I clarify that I do NOT think it's autotuned.. just has that sound in spots). It's really freaking awesome!
