Whitney is the best and there is a very big gap between everyone else. But There is a very small tier of next in line singers and Kelly is on that list for sure. Kelly is probably the best singer alive to that can sing multi genre of music and do it as good as the best in that genre. Kelly never looks wrong singing anything, where as a Christina Aguilera would look out of place in country.

The reason Kelly easily complements her duet partners and even oftentimes "hold back" is because she has no ego. This duet continues to increase my admiration for Kelly. Teddy certainly has the showier vocal - and I am a big fan of his - but Clarkson's restrained vocals served as a hidden lure for the ear. Her contributions are so precise, well-considered, and restrained that I found myself savoring her embellishments, anticipating each new vocal run, harmony and wail - even while Teddy was doing most of the song's heavy lifting.
The thing also that makes her the best is she is so natural and not showy!!! I love her!!!!

I think it’s more for sound to avoid mic static, rather than avoiding overpowering another singer. Sound checks are done before performances in order to ensure quality. She didn’t move away to avoid singing louder.

Kelly is the QUEEN of letting her guests shine, while also harmonizing with them PERFECTLY and also finding some great moments for her own voice to shine through like the AMAZING gift that it is. Utter perfection. And she looks so amazing, glad she's healthy and happy! NYC is such a perfect fit for her!
She has an amazing gift for reading whoever she's singing with and matching them and then letting them take the spotlight. Teddy is not someone she has to really worry about holding back with because his voice is mega. She did give him more of the spotlight but dang their voices together were everything I had hoped it would be.

Been listening to Teddy for a couple years now and was delighted to see Kelly had him on. First, dude is really talented and deserves the exposure. Second, I don't think there's ever been two voices more suited to blues than these two.
Kelly can duet like nobody else, she knows when to come forward and when to hold her partner to the light.

I have grown more and more impressed with Kelly. Teddy is a sensation that is finally getting his recognition, kinda like Jelly. But her ability to sing with virtually anyone is the true mark of her talent. When someone with a voice like hers has so little ego that she can hang back and just compliment someone else's voice speaks volumes about her talent and control. This is the remix duet we wanted instead of putting Lainey on Save Me.
I mean jelly roll was rapping with 3-6 mafia and tech n9ne before. I enjoyed it but it definitely wasn’t gonna have commercial appeal. He decided to country pop music up his music and he has the talent to do it so good on him. Teddy is just like this.

Every time I play this live version I am blown away! Their voices blend so well. Their cadence is spot on. The supporting band did not drown out or overshadow their individual and collective harmonies or vocal runs. This is the absolute BEST rendition of "Lose Control" I've ever heard... and should be recorded and release as a single! They are THAT GOOD together. I would love to experience other performances of Teddy & Kelly together... bringing beautiful music to my soul.

I can't help but to keep coming back to this. It's incredible, and I love it more than the original. There is nothing that Kelly can't sing, and she complimented him perfectly. The joy on her face when the song ended gives me joy, and reminds me why I'm such a fan. She has to know how good she is, but you'd never know it by looking at her. She's so humble, and that's rare. Not saying that it's not okay for someone to be proud of themselves, knowing that you're good isn't something that needs to be apoogized for. Self-love is the best love, but it's often the kind that's in the shortest supply. You can be humble and proud at the same time. Kelly just gives off the impression that she can't believe that she is where she is, like she hasn't been there for decades. It's so innocent and organic. I truly hope that she's living her best life.

I’m thinking that she has a strong, healthy ego. She likes herself, knows she’s talented, and is self confident. It’s her character that lets her know when to step up, step back or just sit in the moment. Her empathetic powers are extraordinary. Her ego never gets in the way. Totally the most awesome duet ive heard in a very long time! Their vocals go together like peanut butter & jelly!! Kelly's voice is a powerhouse, she can sing anything w anyone & it will sound like they were made for ea other! She is underrated as a singer! I personally think she is one of the best singers there is! I love hearing her sing w who is on her show!! Always blows it out of the park!! She is also looking absolutely fabulous! Shes taken revenge to a whole nother level! Good for her!! Now shes gotten rid of her baggage .Remember back when kelly was on american idiol & won! I just watched this for the 15th time in a row I didn't notice at the end that Kelly acts like she is super honored to sing with him and blown away and she genuinely is. Also I think this is the sexiest I've ever heard Kelly sound.
