⛔⛔⛔ *CORRECTION* ! ⛔⛔⛔
I updated the keys for Nudging on Mac. The PDF is now correct.
The correct modifier key is the Command key on Mac.

@@VideoRevealed I lost my PDF and I don't see the PDF download link to download it again!!
you are so helpful brother
You are awesome!! My very favourite teacher for video editing tutorials! You never disappoint. Everything is clear and easy to follow without no distracting or unnecessary stuff in your videos. Thank you for all that you do!
Great tips! I wish I had seen a video just like this when I started editing... Thank you!
You're welcome. But remember, some of these shortcuts have only been around a short while.
@VideoRevealed That's true. But there's so much more in your video. 😉 Describing what actions the shortcuts perform AND showing when and how these actions come in handy. Super!
Thanks! I'm on a mission to learn one new thing about Premiere every day and I find myself going through your videos the majority of the time. Thank you for going beyond the explanation of the basic shortcuts.
Thanks so much for your support.
As experienced as I am Colin I always learn a ton from you content. Who knew by pressing shift I could lock all tracks at once. That is so so gold and the lesson of the week. Thank you.
you are my mentor. I love your videos. NO ego just education. you making videos before it was cool and now you are everything that is cool! respect sir!
Thanks so much. I'm glad you're finding my channel useful.
Very nice, Thank you very much. Your Channel is one of the best when it comes to Premier Pro, well underated. Cheers from France.
You're very welcome!
*Another* thorough, accessible and overall EXCELLENT tutorial M. Smith 👌 Props for the way you showed how the slip tool works. Thank you dearly 👍
Glad it was helpful! I can't tell you how many times I've used that Slip Tool animation! 😊
It's great when someone takes such a job, and gives everyone a complete overview of what's new in Premiere Pro. For a lot of people, it isgreat help. Thanks for your invention. Good luck.
Glad it was helpful!
very helpful video! it's so easy to underestimate the importance of speed editing, I hope more editors see this video ~ tysm 😊
The only good shortcuts to take are keyboard shortcuts. 😆
Thank you for going over this list. Super helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your job, sir! One of the best channel about Adobe Premiere. Great!
Thanks so much for your support.
Great tutorial! As always. So fine way to show slip tool. Thanks a lot
Glad you liked it!
when you take something for granted but Mr. Colin reminds you how things are ;)!!! thank you !!!!!!!!
Thanks and I'm always here to help.
All my shortcuts are mapped on the Razer Tartarus V2 keypad. As a video editor, this is by far the best investment I ever made. To be able to nudge or slip a clip with the scroll wheel makes my edits more precise and effortless. And instead of hitting 2 keys for a shortcut, it’s now only one key, and you don’t have to move your hand to reach any key, at the of the day it makes a huge difference. And no more pain in the wrists after 10 hours editing a project. And by the way, after an exhausting day, my favourite shortcut is: “ctrl q”, hahaha.
That looks like a full featured device. For me, I just can't use anything like that or a gaming type mouse. I just feel better with a medium sized mouse that is free to move and I always have my left hand hovering over the keyboard anyway. But we all have our preferences.
That being said, I'm testing this device out now:

VideoRevealed yes, this loupedeck device looks very interesting. I’m looking forward to see your review.
Nice work Colin, I find I use many shortcuts myself, but knowing some of the timeline ones I think is essential to not having to spend inordinate amount of time editing if you don't need to, and often used some shortcuts even in Windows itself.
When I need to figure out some function within Premiere, I'll Google it and quite often, I get your videos and I find them succinct, clear and often the best one out of many on the very same subject. So thank you for that. Also, I'm often finding that even if the content creator (you and many others) may be using the utmost current CC version of Adobe products, a lot of the features go back several Generations, like back to at least CS4 (I have the MS CS4), yes it's old, but still quite valid and even if I need to Google for the CS4 version to find out where it's located in that version, I'll still use your videos to learn about a feature/function, knowing it's likely there but not always.
That's why I finally subscribed to your channel last week.
Thanks so much and I'm glad you're finding my channel useful.
HELLO COLIN! Always A pleasure to stop by your class! What is the hot key combination to drop an audio key frame?
I have my scroll-wheel click set to move cursor to playhead. It's pretty useful. I don't have to mouse up to the top of the timeline to move the playhead, just scroll-click where I want to be. Saves a lot of unnecessary mouse movement.
Oh, Colin, that will really speed up my editing. I didn't know many of them. Tnx a lot. By the way, I had added my own shortcut keyboard Shift+C for cutting a clip without using the Razor. I believe it's Shift+K by default. It also really helps.
X, Q, E, and W shortcuts were superb.
Just wanna let you know I'm kind of persons that dig details of any software, BUT I found a feature in Pr that I felt ASHAMED why I didn't know it before. I don't know whether you had any clip about that or not. Using Ruler and Guidelines in Programm window that lets you align objects easily. If I knew that, I could easily create my lower thirds without wasting plenty of time for aligning elements.
The alignment options were only added recently so don't feel bad.
Thank you. Even though this video is 2 years old it is still useful. I knew most but there were still I didn't know.
the Q and W ripple trip changed my life

Thank you for your hotkeys, they are time saving!
Great!
@@VideoRevealed Hey! Do you have any kind of tutorial for AfterEffects ?
frankly the best place to learn Premiere Pro! thank you!
Happy to hear that!
Great review of the most important shortcuts. Thx! So many I’ve still not mastered.
Glad you enjoyed it!
thank you very much Smith
You're welcome.
@@VideoRevealed thank you for your reply
Thank you very much, that was super helpful!!! Do you happen to know if there is a hotkey that inserts/overwrite the corresponding audio to an existing video clip in the timeline from the source (Instead of having to matchframe and use 3 points editing)?
You need to manually set the Source Patching and Track Targeting to the correct track.
Hi Colin, once again extremely useful and well presented. You mentioned the [Alt] left/right arrow to move a clip 1 or 5 frames either way. Is there a similar shortcut or hotkey to trim a clip from left or right 1 or 5 frames at a time ?
Yes, but you need an extended keyboard with a number pad.
Select the edit, press either the plus or minus key then the amount of frames you want to move it. Here's a tutorial:

Happy to help
Excellent! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, Sir! I love Premiere Pro!
You're welcome!
Hey Colin! I apologize for changing the subject. I've got an issue with the new Productions panel that I've been unable to resolve. I keep getting a "Duplicate IDs" error for which I can find no tutorial about how to fix it. Any ideas?
I'm going over my notes for when I do my tutorial and I came across this:
DO NOT duplicate Projects on disk because they have the same ID
Premiere Pro might get confused
FIX = Edit> Reassociate Master Clips
@@VideoRevealed I sure wish I knew how projects were being duplicated! I have no idea what it's referring to.
Today I learned about shift/control + period will cycle focus through the windows, (shift/control + comma will go in reverse) and I wondered if Colin had a recent video on keyboard shortcuts and lo and behold it was at the top of my TH-cam list. Where you listening in?
Ha, ha. I've got my finger on the pulse baby! 😂
Thanks for the lesson... I have a problem that is annoying me for years
I position the play head on a clip to the exact frame I need, I make the cut and then grab the clip to the timeline, then the clip have one or two frames prior to the cut frame, can somebody show me how to solve this?
If you're talking about the actual Extract command, it needs an IN and and OUT to work. Here's a tutorial: th-cam.com/video/WyZLtqSZ-8c/w-d-xo.html
Hey I can't find the pdf! any directions please
great video, out of all the crap on youtube finally something which is proper
Thanks so much. I try my best.
Thanks Colin
Really enjoying the tutorials, some of the most concise and informative I’ve come across on TH-cam! I’m very new to video and PR and am experiencing issues with editing. I’ve got a decent pc, 8 cores, 32Gb ram, 6Gb GPU. I’m dropping frames at 4K which is understandable. I watched your video on how to improve this and switching to ssd really helped. Thank you. It’s still bad for stuttering so I thought about proxies and watched your video on that. The issue I’m having is that when using proxies, it seems even worse. Am I missing something? I’m a Sony A7iii user. Sorry for the long comment and hijacking the thread. Any help would be very much appreciated
If you've made H.264 proxies, that might be pushing your CPU to decode while playing back. I'm only guessing as I don't have your system in front of me. Maybe try QuickTime LT proxies. You can convert them all at once using Media Enocder, just keep the names the same. When you relink to the new clips, deselect Extension.
VideoRevealed Thank you so much!
Thank you very much !!!!
You are welcome!
Thank you،،Nice work :)
You're welcome.
Thanks 👍☺️
You're welcome.
When I nudge clips on mac I have to hold the command key, not the option key.
Really? Crap, that must have changed over the years.
There is no pdf document for Hot Keys. Please add.

Ctrl + k to Trim a clip at the Playhead position
Yup. I never use the razor tool. It seems to imprecise compared to this shortcut.
Yes, I use that all the time too and I'm not sure why I didn't include it.Doh! 🙄
Agreed.
