Is it possible to use a 4k video, zoom in to make it full HD and then use something like this feature to automatically track the object without changing the aspect ratio? I believe there’s a feature in aftereffects but can it be done in premier pro?
This is honestly just really good AI. The auto framing on the 1x1 and 16:9 videos are actually good even though they're "jerky." I think it's just as if you told a random person to take a video of the scene. He'll just randomly move the camera around focusing on what she/he thinks what's supposed to be in focus. I don't mind the AI lagging behind the woman for a few secs because a person could've made that mistake, too. The AI just does the best it could with the given samples.
Hi Colin, I had high hopes for this feature (and also some worries about my competition leveraging it early and often). It does nothing with graphics and text, which is not surprising because that would be a technological marvel, however the Auto Reframe still requires a ton of manual work for some. Resizing a 3840x1920 4K clip to 1080x1920 and 1080x1350 is a challenge still, but this feature is a cool step in the right direction. Keep up the great work.
This is an effect I'm really looking forward to as it is so relevant for a lot of our clients. Right now we are still on CC2019 as we can't update during production but hopefully sometime in spring we'll be able to make the transition. Colin would you consider doing a rundown of how this tool works with Graphics? I heard it tries to rearrange graphics as well. Which I think might be an even harder task than "just" tracking objects. I also really appreciate you throwing some harder tasks at this feature so people see what it is actually capable of. Often times people only showcase how everything works perfectly but i always have some doubts as even the most miraculous of tools have their limitations. So thanks for going the extra mile on this!
By default, Mogrts resize automatically and you can't turn that off. So when you stick an HD animated title into a 9:16 Timeline, it simple scales it to fit. I tried to nest the Mogrt but when it wasn't scaled, Auto Reframe did not put the title in the correct spot and it flew out of frame. So my tests show Auto Reframe does not work for Mogrts.
Colin, I have a question - and you're the Premiere guru! Clients often ask for clips to be added/deleted AFTER I've added Open Captions. I can't seem to grab a group of captions and drag them where I want to. So then I end up manually dragging each one. Is there a way to ripple delete captions? You're a star! Thanks for all the work you do! And I'm REALLY looking forward to testing out auto-reframe!
I just tested it and you can't grab multiple captions and move them independently. It's probably because they're designed to move as a unit to stay in time. You can manually trim each caption and have them ripple delete like any clips but that's a ton of extra work. Thanks for your kind words and support.
As I covered in this tutorial, 1:1 is square which is what Instagram uses. 4:3 is standard television (SD). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspect_ratio_(image)#4:3_standard

Agreed.
Very good trick. Thank you so very much. Cheers 👍🏼
Glad you liked it.

Yes it's pretty great now and with machine learning, it's going to get better. Thanks for your support.
Such a good tutorial! Thank you for making it.
And thanks for your support.

@@VideoRevealed thanks colin! :)
It's amazing, thank you so much
You're welcome.
Great Video Colin!
Thanks.
What other filters in adobe premiere are AI enhanced? Is Warp AI enhanced? Is there an upscaler for premiere that is enhanced?
Adobe is adding more and more AI using Adobe Sensei. Check it out here: www.adobe.com/ca/sensei.html
@@VideoRevealed great thank you 😁
Nice video. Thanks for this kind of video.
You're welcome.
Very intelligent feature
It sure is.
Nice job on tutorial. I believe I can use this useful info. Well done!
Thanks, it's amazing technology for sure.
Proud be 15000th VIewer of this video
Wow, that's great timing! 😋

@@VideoRevealed Thank YOU for taking the time to test it. I really appreciate it, Colin!
Eyyyyy my favorite tutorials!
Thanks!
Great as always, thanks.
Thanks for your support.
This is sooo good! Thanks! When did Adobe add this effect?
Auto Reframe is brand spanking new!
really amazing indeed 😳😍👍
I think so too.
Thank you too much
You're welcome buddy.
Helpfull 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks.
Wau!!! I'm not a pro, so I don't know about this effect. You open my eyes hahaha, thanks!!
If you use it, you will look like a pro! 😊
1st view and comment. Love it
Thanks.
could you move the video manually vertically and have it stay there
Yes, as I said in the tutorial, the only thing that's happening is keyframes are added and you can modify them.
Thanks.
You're welcome
I think 4:5 is there because it is the vertical standard for Instagram.
As I covered in this tutorial, 1:1 is square which is what Instagram uses.
4:3 is standard television (SD).

Yep. It's pretty amazing indeed! :")
I agree.
WHO HAS THE PLUGIN FOR AUTO REFRAME FOR PREMIERE 2019 ?
It's not a plug-in. The built-in functionality so you need to update.
O M G
Oh yeah!
well, 4:5 is slightly better than 1:1 when it comes to watching youtube on a phone so i believe it is nothing to do with old broadcast
Check this out:

Phones are 'about' 9:16 vertical... 😊
Well the video format for phones *is* 9:16. 😜
Great! I don't need a Dolly or slider anymore 🤭
Thanks right!
Ok boomer jk
Ha, ha. I get it.
