I did The Taming of the Shrew 2 years ago. I was Petruchio (Patrick), and it was my first lead role. It was so fun, I wish I could do it again.
The one actors death that still do this day really makes me emotional. Heath Ledger was a gem!

Apparently the joker stair scene in the 2019’s joker was a tribute to Heath ledger. If you look at the scene where Heath/Patrick is dancing and singing on the bleachers/stairs. The moves are the same as jokers stair scene

Haha ‘how much you spending on popcorn?’. He’s from Australia - it costs an arm and a leg to go to the movies (or it used to before cinemas closed for COVID). $15+ per ticket, $5 for a 600ml bottle of water, the same for a SMALL popcorn, $5 for a choc-top icecream. Was not an everyday thing.

I loved this movie because it's a great adaptation of Shakespeare's "Taming of the shrew".
I love this. Even though my peanut brain couldn’t figure it out at the time😂
And them she went on to do "O", based on Othello.
The reason this movie is so good is because it was built on the already brilliant plot and set-up by William Shakespear from "Taming of the Shrew"! Granted a really great adaptation, I'm not faulting it, but when you work off of brilliant geniuses it's not that hard, just like "Clueless" being an adaptation of Emma by Jane Austen! So fun to watch your first reaction though, I love this movie. And Shakespear!
I just love that the stairs dance scene in Joker (2019) is an homage to Heath Ledger for this movie

this is probably the most comforting a comfort movie can get. I watch this WAY too often
"What the fuck is going on?" One of the best scenes ever filmed. It's ludicrous and just downright awesome for no real reason.
This movie has no business being as good and purely enjoyable as it is. I mean, the soundtrack carries an absolute metric ton of the lift here... and it doesn't hurt that this is essentially The Taming of the Shrew and we all know my man Billy Shakes could write a complicated twisted love story like no one else. Regardless, they did a damn fine job making this. And what a cast. Also, as someone who went to highschool in the mid to late 90s... fairly accurate.
The guidance counselor is played by Alison Jamie who was Miss. Frizzle on Magic School Bus
Sadly, "under the influence" wasn't a thing when it came to sex when this came out. Love your modern perspective! Thanks for sharing 😊

I don’t remember if it was a blooper or a deleted scene, maybe both, but there is a raunchy scene with Allison Janny in one of the school hallways. 😂 Always makes me laugh!

It's 2:00 AM but suddenly all I want to do is go watch 10 Things I Hate About You. that movie was such a staple part of my childhood and I still love it today

The one eyed troll scene you asked about was filmed in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. It's called the Fremont troll. The paintball scene was filmed at a place called Gas Works park around the same neighborhood. Couple fun facts, 1) The John Cusack movie Say Anything had scenes filmed in the same neighborhood. 2) The artist and writer of The Oatmeal (the comic) can often be seen at fremont coffee shops doing work.

15:03 When I was at the shooting ground (that had those aluminium chess pawn shaped ammo) I was reminded several times that we (as a class) have to wait for the staff to get out of the ground until we would be set free to fire at the target. I bet the same rule goes for the crossbow and the regular bow fire ranges as well. 16:09 yep, I'm moist as well, and I'm a guy. He has got pretty cool voice, but ... I've been talking to the guy that's doing the commercials. That guy had the voice of Darth Vader times 2. Every time he had called me I couldn't help myself, because I was thinking about the movie trailers.
I think the best part of this movie is that the dad is also the dad in the tv show remake on abc family. 😂 he was born for this role

Ah yes one of the best comfort movies! Love it, I’ve watched it many times. There was a tv show done a couple of years latter and I actually liked it too. It only lasted one season and the only actor that was the same was the father.

Saw this in theaters. Was one of the few soundtracks I bought. Very “pop” version of Pride and Prejudice, but I really enjoyed it.

My favorite movie! An absolute classic & some iconic quotes! Heath Ledger was such a dreamy man. Hate that he died. I also wish I was around during the 90s too. One of my favorite movies ever. Such an underrated rom-com. Another good underrated movie is Music and Lyrics with Hugh grant and Drew Barrymore in it. Worth it
