Watched Brian's video this morning and I dont think I ever felt so emotionally connected to someone I've never met , Brian is loved all around the world❤ I know kevin and Brian are friends and my heart goes out to everyone that its affecting which I'm sure is alot of people ❤❤❤❤
I so respect the honest positive video today!!!!! The reptile community needs your knowledge and energy!!! So proud of you for wanting to grow in new ways!!!!!!
Can't thank you enough for talking about Reptile Basics. I went right to the link you entered and placed an order for the tortoise food and calcium supplement. He gets a weed/flower food now but this comes in larger packages and you made it sound delicious. Clyde, my Russian, thanks you in advance. And, no, I wasn't bored in this video for a second!
This actually made me a bit proud. I am a relatively new snake owner (about 1,5 years). I now have 2 BP in 2 enclosures. I use DHP and a diming thermostat to them both and have actually been doing that for a year. It is so much easier and safe with that thermostat and the heat is much more consistent. I use an ordinary LED bulb (no heat) as a daylight source and that is also connected to my thermostat which switches it on and off on a timer.
I rescued a reptile this week, all down to Kevin and Brian I’ve a basic set up but been learning what is best for the animals. So this video is perfect timing for me 👌🏻
Thanks Kevin! I appreciate learning about products with your seal of approval. Money is tight and it helps to have the benefit of your knowledge of products, rather than placing an order with a hope and prayer everything works out.
So glad to see you again. If you recommend a product it has to be top-notch. As usual, I learn something new from you. Keep your passion for for sharing your expertise.
@@NewEnglandReptile very kind of you to share everything with us Are you on morph market? You are the only person I trust to buy a animal I am looking for.❣️😊
The T5 shadedweller 8watt are very useful for ball pythons too! Arcadia is such a good brand indeed. Have you tried their Deep Heat Projectors? It heats differently than a regular ceramic heat bulb. Those who've used it immediately notice a difference in the behaviour of their snakes. Also, I knew about the importance of UVB but didn't know exactly about metabolic acidosis, learned something. Thanks for that
This was a great video. Kevin definitely keep this up and possibly showcasing a product or more really helps us out who would like to follow you guys in the hobby keep up the great work with education and these videos. Thanks again bud!!!!!👌🏼👌🏼👍🏻🦎🐍🐢
Thank you! I'm gonna try that Arcadia mix to supplement my Uros' diets. Can you possibly speak to enticing them to eat their greens more? Should I take their little seed and pellet dishes out? I should, shouldn't I?
I'm also a huge fan of Arcadia, they really produce some high end stuff you can trust! So great to see a company who does that, so support them and buy their stuff, guys. :) Great video!
I really love my Microclimate EVO Connected 3, 3 channels of control for heat (pulse, on/off dimming), light and mist. Great piece of kit with huge functionality
Nice to see the same product are in america as in europe a lote of the new stuff are upgrades from the older versions. Serra hase some nice products to not sure if you can find them in the states.
I don't know why but I just feel like Kevin was maybe trying a little harder in this video than usual and maybe subconsciously was paying homage to Brian realizing such a vibrant voice is no longer with us. I appreciate this channel so much (except that donny guy whoever he is) and to get to hear Kevin talk about literally anything is such a treat.
Hey Kevin, do you guys use deep heat projectors? Arcadia didn't have a 100watt but pangea does. I needed a good heating option for my blue tegu and started using deep heat projectors. One bulb is keeping a 6'x2'x2' enclosure heated with a 120 degree Hotspot on a slab of slate. I have a couple of t5s one is biodudes grow light and the other is arcadia's forest. I didn't want to get strong bulbs as I read that tegus with albinism are light sensitive. Still working on shade plants. She squashed my first run of plants. Haha. If you could provide insight into uvb dependent reptiles with albinism and how that may or may not work against them I'd be grateful.
I'll save the commentary on Brian for if you decide to post about it. But I thought you were downsizing, seeing all the animals up for sale. Ngl, my friend and I stalk your website to look at all the pretty animals 😂 NORMALLY it's just window shopping buuuuut that's also how I got my beautiful NERD alumni, Otto Octavius II. No regrets, he's absolutely wonderful 🥰
I thank you for the information. Currently I don't have any but I had several corn snakes, and a Savannah monitor years ago. I love reptiles and I'm thinking about getting some dragons. This is great information. I'm in the rescue business myself. I work at a no kill shelter. We only have kennels for dogs. We are going to try to get a place for cats. I'm the only person that's not afraid of mice and snakes😂 and would definitely not be opposed to rescue reptiles. They're so beautiful and misunderstood. I live watching and learning more about them from you.
U guys should start a gofundme for your reptile conservation programs...u would be astounded by how many people around the world who would step forward and support that!!!!!!!
And nice to see some turtle-y products/info. Before all else, I’m a huge turtle nerd 😅 I try telling mine they need to make better food choices, and for the most part they do…until you walk out and see a Sulcata with a dead bird in its mouth 😳🫠
It's great to know what you personally like and more important use. Thanks also for all the information regarding the animals and how their system works.❤❤❤❤❤
I LOVE videos where Kevin not only reviews products, but shows us how they are meant to be used properly. That sort of information is really lacking for a lot of products.
I really want to pick up some of your snakes it's just not a good time season wise. Come spring though as long as a few animals on my mental wish list are still or become available defiantly picking up a few.
If you happen to have a deceased snake could you show us it's anatomy in a video? Like a disection and label/ show the organs? Because a lot of the diagrams are a touch confusing, and I'd like to see how they're layed out irl. If not, that's completely understandable, and I mean no disrespect. If you could link me some sites for that stuff it'd be super cool of you. 🤘🏻
I feel that on the electric bill, I thought mine was high .... mine ranges between $1500 & $2000 a month, your $12,000 one makes mine look small, but it is awful... especially since mine is at my house .... not a business... the rates are horrible
Have you considered solar power supplementation? I know NE isn't the sunniest place, but even a little power may help. I think there are still fed and state financing programs. Or tap into the MIT electrical engineering department. Maybe there's a grad student who would love to help you re-engineer your property to be more efficient and get a paper out of it. Think outside the box. Hang in there.
