I’m actually an actor and one thing that I’ve learned from it is to just roll with what you have or as we call it in the theater “The ‘yes and…’ rule”. We use this rule specifically when practicing improv. The rule states that you shouldn’t deny any changes that you’ve made to the story. You should instead build more onto it. For example if my improv parter says “wow I can’t believe we’re on the moon!” I shouldn’t turn around and say “what do you mean? We’re in a Walmart?”. I stead I should add onto the story and say “yeah me neither. I can see the earth from here!”. Fortnite could really use this too. Similar to what you said with them committing to their seasons they should also not take back or nerf weapons into the ground when the community complains and instead they should ‘yes and…’ and add a counter to the op weapon.
Brilliant way of explaining it. I learned some improv when I was in debate years ago. It taught you how to think on your feet quick, but the "yes and... rule" is an amazing illustration for Epic's problem. Sometimes you've got to roll with the punches instead of giving up on the concept. Fortnite should be the person in your analogy to come up and say "Wow this Walmart on the moon is crazy!" Take the best elements from both improv scenarios and roll with it.
If it's a garbage movie then nah. That's how cinematic disasters happen and I ain't being part of that shit. I'm not taking any 'L's on account of meta exploiters.
Common theme with Chapter 5, season to season, is that Epic didn’t know how to balance anything. I remember after the OG season and hopping into Chapter 5 was a shock. There was no weapon balance, if you didn’t have a frenzy auto shotgun and sniper you were throwing. On top of that the medallions made you a god. At that point Fortnite became a game I played for a few days after every major update instead of my main game I have been playing forever. Hoping Chapter 6 is so much better.
They overtune launch day weapons, and all the people get spoiled with it. Most of the time the “balanced” version is genuinely the best for every player, but because everyone got so spoiled with the first version they go into withdrawals, thinking that it’s ruined or nerfed into the ground. It’s like giving a kid a bowl of candy every morning then taking it away once noon comes, wondering why the kid is always so mean and bratty every day.
@@lumplumpletyep. I had a saying, Those who cried at comp players for ruining it. The wanted to have their own fun. I.e only had fun because of the itms While those who wanted nerfs just wanted the game to be fun. I.e they found and wanted the game they played to be fun.
This is why calling for nerfs is so volatile. Players don’t know how balancing works, but they throw such a stink about it that epic has to act right away or suffer consequences. The best way to balance is to buff first, and then nerf later. Just nerfing items leaves the opportunity for something else to become OP in it’s place. One weapon is always going to be the best, and one will always be the worst, but always shuffling who’s on top makes it a repeating cycle of rage.
The removal of jetpacks has mixed reactions that shows how much the community is split between builds and zero builds so i think it should have some kind of seperated lootpool or items to make everyone happy

@@apesy800 that's one of the uses of jetpack so I think those were the sweaty build players and they complain about everything so don't mind them because in builds mostly everybody was happy and it was the best mobility in builds
The problem with this season is the amount of wasted potential, we could have had a remade spider man mythic, Mephisto mythics, mysterio and Emma frost powers, peelverine mythic claws and so much more but instead we got halloween which is cool and big except it got rid of the main focus of the season and is lasting way too long without adding any new items other than the chainsaw, unless we suddenly get more marvel mythics and an og marvel fighting ltm back, which it’s too late to get now the season is ruined not to mention the missed fantastic four collab
I know right we also could've gotten new mystics as well. What if you could use doc ock's mechanical arms to climb up buildings and attack players, use Skurges guns and axe to attack players, use the enchantress's powers to make hex fire balls, you could also become the lizard.
I disagree. We still got plenty of items later in the season like the iron man mythics or dooms armor. I think some variety could've been appreciated, but I am pretty satisfied with what they did. This isn't like the Greek mythology season where they dropped 3 themed items and then forgot about the rest of the season.
@@rixbyte7438imo it kinda is, Dooms armour and tony starks gun are cool... But they shouldn't be the only things added in a big update, fortnite mares got more weapons and map changes than any of these updates.
@@Raddish-IS-Radd Don't get me wrong, I would've loved more stuff, but I'm more than satisfied at least gameplay wise. IMO Fortnitemares being such a stacked event only enhances the season more, regardless of the theme.
I'm telling you, one of the best counter items this season (at least in Zero Builds) is shield bubbles. I have won so many fights against the Marvel items because of it, and it served as a good counter to the jetpack. Because 95% of the time a player will try spamming you from above and then when I throw the bubble shield down they get cocky and try running in and that's when I use the shotgun once I get them up close. It's worked really well for me and made this season much more bearable with dealing with the Marvel items!
I didn't felt this season as superheroic, just a sci-fi weapon oriented season and as a Marvel fan it was a disappointment for me. We just have the skins and characters but not the feeling is like take all the magic and powers from it.
@@russiankodiak6849 for me chapter 2 was Prime, because is more the gameplay I love and that’s why I was hooked in the game while in 1.3 I was not interested. I started playing again at the end of 2.2 and I fall in love with this brand new gameplay.
I was actually making a battle royale game of my own, not in creative... but an actual video game. I wanna add original characters, colorful map and biomes, balls to the walls weapons, and maybe even a bit of a story.
And a worst event and horrible shops. The fact that we still haven’t gotten a full on Marvel shops and probably won’t since it’s Fortnitemares and the season is ending is embarrassing
It doesn't help this Marvel season that there's barely any actual iconic Marvel heroes in it that are featured that we either haven't seen before or are so underdeveloped like Dr. Doom that it's hard to be as invested in them as we were in someone like Thanos or Iron Man from the past Marvel season.
This comment summarises the state of the Fortnite community completely, I guarantee you that if Fortnite makes the best season ever, people will still hate it because it's "not like the old days". You are just blinded by nostalgia, you didn't love Fortnite, you loved being a kid. You aren't even giving it a chance anymore
Now honestly the jetpack getting removed honestly saved the end of the season and fortnitemares BUT it shouldnt have to Something like the gatekeeper is also dominant but that can easily be fixed by some nerfs (idk why they dont) The jetpack however is super dominant and nobody was gonna take anything else, new or not, over it and that is a major issue, now of course this problem shouldnt exist but this jetpack had so much more to it than the balanced one did and its too late to balance it and remove things like fuel regen or boosting because the community would whine and cry so the only thing left to really do is remove it which sucks but it had to happen
@@DylanHumphreys-o6f What a rude comment. The game should be balanced, regardless of game mode. Then you call the people who play pubs 7 year olds as if to belittle them. It says more about you than them.
The main problem I have with the fn community is that they think you are either a casual, or a competitive player, when it's more like a spectrum. I find myself to be a competitive person, but i would never really compete in any tournament, and i play ranked for fun, along with pubs. I think the best way to fix a lot of problems in chapter 5 is to balance the lootpools according to the gamemode. have different weapons and utility for regular and competitive, builds and no builds. Stick to the themes of the season too and do more with them. When i was younger i thought i valued map changes more than anything else in this game, but chapter 5 has made me realize that the lootpool is the most important thing about fn. And chapter 5 has just had a boring lootpool the entire time, with no new interesting weapons. Epic's biggest mistake was laying off all those employees, because the drop in quality in this game has been apparent ever since. I hope chapter 6 is better, or else i fear that this game will be in it's worst state yet.
I liked chapter 5 season 1 but every season since then has made me want to uninstall. The gatekeeper is the worst thing they have ever added because it is ridiculously easy to use. Plus all the items specific to a season have been really annoying like the zues lightning bolt, the nitro fists and the war machine mythic. Fortnite should return to just having normals guns
The problem is that adding counters doesn't work when everything is RNG. This season, if Little Timmy had a jetpack, and you didn't you likely lost. With counters in the game, it just changes to the equation to Little Timmy having the jetpack, and you not finding the counter. You still lose. When everything is RNG, we can't have "super overpowered loot is countered by other super overpowered loot" bc both sides are just rolling dice on each treasure chest. We need balance from the get-go, not balance that's contingent on RNG lining up.
Nerf everything in this season idc everything does way to much damage hope they actually balance things glad were going to og and people complaining about nerfs are the same people abusing the items because they cant win without them
fortnite's in chapter 5 -add a broken weapon or mobilty(cars zeus jetpack) -it gets nerfed 3-4 times to the point they're useless -it gets randomly removed -they add it back 2 weeks before the season ends
@@rubenlohata5263 Still really powerful. Zeus’s thunderbolt only got nerfed once too by it not going through walls which seemed like a non-intentional thing.
I really just hated the jetpack and the nitro fists. The nitro fists dealt way to much damage and the jetpack is just annoying because everybody is teleporting around on my screen and don't even get me started on the captain america shield used with the jetpack.
There’s too many collabs per season and collabs are fine I just hate how all of them take over the game. Back then it used to be a few collab skins and that’s it, only collab battle pass skins got mythics now they are doing too much and all these collabs draw away from the season theme. This chapter is the definition of ruined by collabs. Even up to chapter 4 there were a lot of collabs but only one or 2 collabs got mythics per season and most were secrets skins or mobility. The only big collabs that got items were jujutsu Kaisan and mha they need to go back the to ch 4 formula
@@rubenlohata5263Exactly. Battle Royale is where the story takes place after Save The World. And this isn't just a collab. Marvel characters are a part of Fortnite lore. We are trapped in the loop not fighting for no reason.
Hot take: only weapons in battle Royale should be normal guns, only movement should be shockwaves and grapplers, and heals should be just the big pots, minis, med kits, and bandages. Goofy superpowers and op colab items make the game frustrating to play.
tbh epic can never win. people complained about the jetpacks literally all season then when they remove them - people still complain. it’s happened with every mythic & even cars this chapter
Everyone will complain because for ages, Epic has tried stuff, and gotten yelled at for EVERYTHING. The Community doomed this season because the scared Epic into not trying stuff that could be risky but fun in fear of losing a large amount of players. This has been a thing since C2S4’s Halloween event and is likely among the core reasons why seasonal events have gotten worse since then.
I just feel like the biggest issue with this chapter was epic games seeing the disparity between the casual fanbase and the professional players grow. Tiktok became a cesspool of watching people complain that sweats beg for nerfs too much and they ruined the game and watching pros absolutely dunk on the game calling each season worse than the one before it. The loud minority on both sides kind of contributed to the lack of content and I hope epic just learns from the mistakes from this chapter and bounces back better in the following months.
If they actually playtested stuff before release then they wouldnt be broken on release , oh and give this guy his own dance emote , had no idea he had such flow 😁
They should make it so buffs and nerfs are different between pubs and competitive, so they could nerf something in competitive but keep it the same in normal battle royale
Since I started playing in Chapter 3 Season 3, nothing has ever topped those two weeks when we had "Most Wanted" as a theme towards the end of the season. Everyone was OP, your health was regenerating constantly with your entire squad, both you and the people you were fighting had hired like 3-4 bots each, EVERYONE had multiple "Heist" weapons that did weird things better than the other guns rather than just a boring "this one does the most damage" That felt like perfected chaos since Fortnite just let everyone go crazy I wish Fortnite would do what you said and COMMIT to their themes.
The problem with the jetpacks was that if you had one and fought someone who didn't, you were practically guarenteed a win. So just give it to everyone. No seriously, their fun as hell and I think this would fix most of the problems.
Jetpack fights were a little annoying sometimes but I don't think they needed to lower the spawn rate at all. Also, the nerfs didn't make them unusable just more fun
Current Fortnite feels like a game that’s confused and all over the place. It has no plot/direction and it really shows. I think that’s why so many people liked chapter 1-2 Fortnite because it actually had a defined plot/direction that was consistently delivering.
For me the problem with the nerfs is that you are trying to learn and adapt the META of the season and they are changing it nearly each week just to keep the same old META.
This is what Call of Duty did to sell you bundles that had the meta shit you needed to stand a chance in Warzone, which ultimately killed that game when everyone got fed up with trying to keep up with all that horseshit.
Yeah all they have done this chapter is release fun items, then take them away for collabs or seasonal events. Like season 2 it was all about gods and their powers, but then they all get taken away for those avatar mythics which were awful to fight against
The worst thing about Fortnite is the increasing number of hackers. Epic Games needs to do more to stop the hackers from destroying the game for the genuine honest players otherwise Fortnite is going to die and it’s just a matter of time until the hackers wreck Fortnite for good and for everyone. Come on Epic Games do something about all the hackers please!
Should Epic consider doing an separate month long collab season? Instead of introducing something like Pirates of the Caribbean during a meta involving cars with crazy attachments why not separate them. Like for Fortnitemares, I’d argue that if the Marvel Loot pool was gone it would almost be an entirely new season. Especially if they added another Fortnitemares themed poi and did a mini battle pass. It’s a lot of work and I don’t wanna overly simplify this concept but would anyone want to see something like this? I feel each season loses their identity a bit when an unrelated collab introduces items that over power the meta.
11:14 just add more flexible mobility variants lol for now we only have shockwaves and a limited amount of iron man's boots. Previously we had: - ch5s1: TMMT mythics, grapple blade, shockwaves -ch5s2: shockwaves, wings of icarus, airbending, -ch5s3: nitro fists, shockwaves, Metallica guitar -ch5w4: shockwaves, Ironman's boots and the vaulted jet pack The jetpack was a bit clunky to use compared to different mobility options we had so far. It would be more fair it it dropped more often tbh or of there was another mobility option more easily available to balance out the feeling of lack of mobility in current season
I think the biggest issue is the community themselves. Epic is forced to tiptoe around us because they’re afraid of the backlash. Yes, sometimes that backlash is warranted. But up to a certain point. Sometimes the community takes it way too far and ends up creating a problem in the other direction. We gotta be willing to meet epic halfway, otherwise they’re just going to start ignoring our feedback entirely.
If I could have created chapter 5, I would have keeped hitscan, made modbenches spawn at every poi, make mods more creative like maybe a barrel for your assault rifle which shows damaged enemies through walls, or one that gives the hop rock effect when shot. I would have kept augments and tied them in with the attachment system. Instead of scrapping the old feel/graphics of the game I would have expanded on it. The chapter felt so dead, but I’m hopeful for the future for chapter 6 since epic has made so many mistakes and hopefully they will learn from them.
Honestly i think the best way for fortnite to improve further seasons is to look at some of the most loved seasons (c2s2,c2s4,c1s7) where they comitted to the theme but put a fair balance in and made it playable for virtually everyone but then in seasons where they comitted but they didnt exactly balance it (c1sX, c4s3, c2s3) these seasons were all phenomenal seasons but there wasnt an exactly a balance so they ended up either hated or just became very forgetable
@@wet0wlthat's not true. I know because I play true to the characters I use each match. I've won in solos playing as Captain America with a shield alone.
The Jetpack was the same as the cars and the lightning bolt and the ballistic shield. They were all terrific fun just as long as the meta was built around them. Once that stopped being the case with the Jetpack, it had to go. It was countering every item that Fortnitemares added and was ruining the event! P.S. The meta supported the ballistic shield, cars and lightning bolt for the entirety of their respective seasons and all three of them got nerfed way more than they should have. I could even say the same about the Captain America shield. It was the top 1% of players ruining it for the rest of us.
I think itd be really funny if they did just add every marvel mythic and didnt nerf any of them lol. Heck, why dont we have a season with every weapon in the game.
most of the issues this chapter is because of the community not knowing what they want, epic makes bad nerfs and they dont release certain things because they have mixed opinions
I think Fortnite definitely changed their BR team, Fortnite used to have items that were both fun and balanced. Now it feels like they add anything that looks cool without much balancing. Part of the reason Chapter season 2 and season 4 were so successful is that Fortnite executed those seasons best, obviously not perfect but the weapons were fun and mostly balanced definitely way better than now, good poi’s, fun mythics especially the marvel ones were surprisingly balanced as it wasn’t spammable like how they are now. I’m confused as to why Fortnite couldn’t make an ltm in Chapter 5 season 3 with the broken cars and turrents, that itself would’ve probably made it a top 5 season especially with the drought of ltms and it makes sense as ltms are meant to change how the game is played. It’s unfortunate to see how ltms are not common anymore despite their potential as those are the best opportunities to add broken items and experiment without worrying about controversy
You could see it as Epic not committing. but as a dancer/performer , you can react in the moment: feel the crowd, Fortnite can’t do that; they still have to balance the season. I mean, that’s kind of your solution, to be fair. Fortnite still needs to react; although they’ve mixed mythics before and have been ridiculed because of it. for example chapter 4 season 1.. with the dragon ball and my hero at times it was just to much...
I am getting more and more sure each day that to enjoy Fortnite you need to play with people... at least if you are interested more in the fun part than the competitive one.
As far as weapons go the only ones I’m not a fan of are the energy weapons that don’t require the aiming skill like the others do. It’s one thing to have quick mobility with regular guns and be able to aim from movement or at movement and it’s totally different to have energy weapons that have very heavy aim assist or even blast radius that just shoot in the general direction and hit both from the mobility or at mobility items. That’s where I feel like a lot of players get upset is they learn the game and controls and they practice (either for fun or competition) and they begin to enjoy the game and enjoy testing their skills against other players but then someone comes along and just spams weapons that don’t take the same level of practice and it’s frustrating. It makes the players who have practiced and played feel like all their hard work (learning rotations, map, weapon abilities) was worthless. Don’t get me wrong the superhero powers and weapons have their place and time and are fun in themselves but they should be in LTM’s or at least their spawn rates should be more even. even if they evened it out by making the mythics be guaranteed spawns in one certain chest per POI because then players would be able to learn it and then it turns into whoever gets there first. But that’s all just my opinion
Fortnite now: - one sweat say item bad - epic listen and remove item - 99% of the playerbase that play for fun sad - sweat happy because no fun That's how shit goes nowadays 😭
Sweats complain about the items as they are not having fun with them Even some casuals are not. Op items, are always fun to use. Yet is never, fun to fight without it.
Excellent video as always, bro! Although I liked the Jetpack and think it was fun to use, I've felt it was an obligatory item, that we simply must have in any matches, and it was unbalanced, if you dropped from the air when sufficiently hit, even without fall damage, only putting it to recharge, it'd been much better in balancing ways. The Wings of Icarus is q good example of fun and balanced item, you could stil "damage" it from the air although the player with it has a large mobility, the same with Airbending that was very useful and gave a lot of mobility but has no offensive aspect, and if you use a gun it would recharge. Although I like the Jetpacks they weren't balanced very well in its concept.
I have my own way of enjoying fortnite and you have your own way of enjoying fortnite. Going out of you way to insult random Joes on the internet because they don't share the same level of enjoyment is honestly pathetic af. Grow up 😭🙏
The problem is that in every season there are guns. We don't get to use Marvel mythic weapons in every season. Hell the last time there was a MARVEL season was 4 years ago. I can't deal with casual gamers who cry or haters of anything Marvel in FN. Let be honest. There can never be a balance in a game that uses a rarity system. Because any player with the better version of a weapon has the advantage. And the different types of weapons are not equal. Snipers will always have an advantage at long range. Shotguns will deal more damage up close compared to pistols, SMGs or ARs, explosive weapons deal the most damage, SMGs have the fastest firing rate. We the player must ADAPT. That is the key. The entire point of having Marvel characters and Marvel mythic weapons are to use those weapons with the characters they belong to. Why in the world would I want to use my War Machine skin that can no longer fly, Or Captain America with weaker version of his shield? All of these nerfs are made in favor of gun supremacy over Marvel mythic weapons. And it has ruined this season for me as a huge fan of Marvel Comics. Finally this is a video I can agree with. Taking away the hover jet pack was a huge mistake.
Biggest mistake of this whole chapter is the shotgun Mata. You need to make a video about the shotgun meta. It has been horrendous and tired. Not one good shotgun Meta for the entire chapter. Every season the pump was the worst shotgun. The jetpack could have been a lot more fun in a pump heavy season, for me jetpack fights came down to who gets to whose face with a gatekeeper first tbh
I still think they should have treated iron man like doctor doom, like why had a 15% chance of getting doom island where u can become OP Doom and wipe half of the lobby but they should have made so u also have a 15% chance to Enquire Iron Man's armor and u have infinite flight fuel and you'll be OP or in day of doom a random person on the villain side will have doom's armor and , and on the Hero side a random player will receive iron man's armor to fight doom, or if not that have a giant iron man fighting a giant doom in the mini event, bc stark (Iron Man) doesn't play a big part in the story like he was supposed to.
Chapter 5 has many flaws like the movement at the start of the chapter it also had may balancing issues with things like the cars, there was also a lot of ideas that weren’t fleshed out like the Greek season, Ik chapter 5 is gonna be put as the worst chapter ever but in my opinion it’s one of the best, this chapter I will sure miss a lot❤
To all the people that don’t like chapter 5. If you don’t believe this, that’s fine but you won’t appreciate the game anymore than you do now if you don’t believe this. The Fortnite community made chapter 5 worse for themselves by complaining all the time instead of focussing on what’s good and just trying to have fun. Trying to have fun is why people like ch1, if people tried to have fun in ch5, they’d probably have fun too.
Honestly I feel like this chapter is getting way more hate than it deserves. I didn't play very much of chapter 3 at all and I didn't play chapter 4 but I have seen what those chapters had to offer and honestly, if were talking chaoter 4 I'd say every single season of chapter 5 has been more interesting than all of chapter 4. Chaoter 3 was okay but it's only half as good as chapter 2 the goat. Chaoter 5 does have its problems. Bullet drop being one, season 1 the map looked very very boring, and too many nerfed items or improper balance of 1 or more items during every single season weather it be the reaper sniper rifle the frenzy auto, nitro fists, you name it. But I do think every single season we have had this chaoter has had really high highlights. it's also getting harder and harder to please fortnite players now days. Oh and also, to mention we are getting consistent events this chapter. Been a long time since we had that
Epic always relies way too heavily on collabs and that kind of basically rubs me the wrong way in some cases Then again Disney bought a good portion of epics sharing the company so yeah that's a thing
Not really... This Fortnitemares is an excellent microcosm example. How many weapons/items in this update are crossovers? If we're just looking at Battle Royale, it's 1/4, but if we're looking at Reload, then it's 0/6, and even if, perhaps, Horde Rush has a ton of Marvel Mythics, you have to realize that those are really overpowered items that put a unique spin on the Horde Rush mode instead of dampening it
Also the portion that Disney bought is a actual really small to the point that Disney can’t suggest anything or change anything so I would say that thing will probably not change much in favor for Disney
chapter 5 let me have some of the most fun debates ive ever had in my entire life, so yes, despite its flaws, despite it being the objectively worst chapter, i admire chapter 5 for what its done
Honestly I respect the first season of Chapter 1 as it felt like I was playing an entirely different game to that of Fortnite, having a Battlefield 1 vibe to it. But that wore off fast and yeah this chapter has kind of been shit.
I was thinking of an idea to bring every marvel power and even more other powers to the game all at once, in REGULAR BR Hear me out, midway through the match rift beacons turn on and rift in different pieces of 616 bringing different characters for you to fight, barter, or talk to You could fight wolverine to get his claws Talk with cyclops to get his Visor Enter a machine to get one of the fantastic fours members Etc etc etc I think this would be an extremely fun and very interesting way to turn this seemingly marvel inspired season, into a full MARVEL Battle Royale still keeping the Fortnite feel

Those are all the zero build players
Right😂
I mean, it's not the same people every time. You're not onto anything, you're seeing two sides of people wanting different things
I haven't met a single person unhappy about the jetpacks being removed
nobody complained about the jetpacks in fnmares
This isn't like the Greek mythology season where they dropped 3 themed items and then forgot about the rest of the season.
seriously? removing the jetpack got rid of the entire main focus of the season? they removed one fun item to make way for 2 fun items
I love the sheid bubbles, but some people use the Captain America's Sheid glitch to kill me.
The Shield bubbles saved me so many times when I play z builds
@ADMICKEY Same bro it still does I carry them all the time!
I never understood why they removed the motorbike
They could of done so many motorcycle brand colabs for the shop where bikes can be custom like the cars now
I never understood why they removed the golf carts as they could've easily coexisted along with normal vehicles.
Klarque-grandad-dancing-lore anecdotes for fortnite before GTA VI is wild.
I didn't felt this season as superheroic, just a sci-fi weapon oriented season and as a Marvel fan it was a disappointment for me. We just have the skins and characters but not the feeling is like take all the magic and powers from it.
Chapter 2 Season 4 was peak, i how you were able to play it, it was prime Fortnite
@@russiankodiak6849 for me chapter 2 was Prime, because is more the gameplay I love and that’s why I was hooked in the game while in 1.3 I was not interested. I started playing again at the end of 2.2 and I fall in love with this brand new gameplay.
Imagine Epic adding everything they have for one day, that would be chaos and fun
Counters are what we need. Yet same time, some items are REALLY dependent on 1 item counters.
Which becomes annoying.
shield bubbles were nowhere near useful when somebody who can fully exploit jetpack movement is at the final circle.
I was actually making a battle royale game of my own, not in creative... but an actual video game. I wanna add original characters, colorful map and biomes, balls to the walls weapons, and maybe even a bit of a story.
This season didn’t feel like a marvel season. They were very little mythics compared to last time and less marvel poi’s/ landmarks
And thing was.
If you look. Did we really. Get super powers.
Or did we just get pure technology.
While ch2, had actual super powers.
I really loved the jetpack
It was really fun to master the movement, and fighting with one was just fun

Now honestly the jetpack getting removed honestly saved the end of the season and fortnitemares BUT it shouldnt have to
Something like the gatekeeper is also dominant but that can easily be fixed by some nerfs (idk why they dont)
The jetpack however is super dominant and nobody was gonna take anything else, new or not, over it and that is a major issue, now of course this problem shouldnt exist but this jetpack had so much more to it than the balanced one did and its too late to balance it and remove things like fuel regen or boosting because the community would whine and cry so the only thing left to really do is remove it which sucks but it had to happen
if it's broken it should be fixed or removed, period
As long as it’s not in ranked I couldn’t care less. Let the 7 year olds in pubs have their fun
@@DylanHumphreys-o6f What a rude comment.
The game should be balanced, regardless of game mode. Then you call the people who play pubs 7 year olds as if to belittle them. It says more about you than them.
@@jovas65 he isnt wrong
@@jovas65 if everything is broken then nothing is
jetpacks were broken.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE HEARD OR SEEN ANNNNYTHING ABOUT YOU DANCING!!! What's the channel named??
Facts he is not bad at all. I'm a dancer myself and thought that was pretty cool
Nerf everything in this season idc everything does way to much damage hope they actually balance things glad were going to og and people complaining about nerfs are the same people abusing the items because they cant win without them
fortnite's in chapter 5
-add a broken weapon or mobilty(cars zeus jetpack)
-it gets nerfed 3-4 times to the point they're useless
-it gets randomly removed
-they add it back 2 weeks before the season ends

The only big collabs that got items were jujutsu Kaisan and mha they need to go back the to ch 4 formula
so your saying that collabs took over the game?
in every season since ch1 there were collab taking over the game
Wrd up bro that chapter was just so much better than this

Hot take: only weapons in battle Royale should be normal guns, only movement should be shockwaves and grapplers, and heals should be just the big pots, minis, med kits, and bandages. Goofy superpowers and op colab items make the game frustrating to play.
tbh epic can never win. people complained about the jetpacks literally all season then when they remove them - people still complain. it’s happened with every mythic & even cars this chapter
Different people complained.
The jet pack has been cheese since the first day it dropped. Good thing it’s gone

The auto turret is more op cause the free more damage, that 20 + what u add from u can be insane
I didn’t like this chapter so much that I’ve been counting down the literal days of how long we have left until it’s end 😭😭
The loud minority on both sides kind of contributed to the lack of content and I hope epic just learns from the mistakes from this chapter and bounces back better in the following months.
the problem is fortnite is not the same. and why is it ? its because fortnite is giving up what it made so special and memorable during those days...
You know what would've been better, AN EMP LAUNCHER!

The biggest crime was blue balling us with a red dot sight that never came out, like WTF Fortnite?
They should make it so buffs and nerfs are different between pubs and competitive, so they could nerf something in competitive but keep it the same in normal battle royale

Since I started playing in Chapter 3 Season 3, nothing has ever topped those two weeks when we had "Most Wanted" as a theme towards the end of the season. Everyone was OP, your health was regenerating constantly with your entire squad, both you and the people you were fighting had hired like 3-4 bots each, EVERYONE had multiple "Heist" weapons that did weird things better than the other guns rather than just a boring "this one does the most damage" That felt like perfected chaos since Fortnite just let everyone go crazy

No, that wouldnt have worked either unless they increased the blast radius. This season could have used the Snake's camo EMP
The thing about the some broken items is that it’s fun when you have it but completely unfun if you don’t or down right ridiculously painful
The problem with the jetpacks was that if you had one and fought someone who didn't, you were practically guarenteed a win. So just give it to everyone. No seriously, their fun as hell and I think this would fix most of the problems.
I'm so mad the lock on pistol wasn't brought back to counter jets. It was the obvious choice 😂
@@NhBleker I think Warzone problem is more to become a P2W
I see where you are going...I myself feel as if Fortnite makes change way too prevalent in the game and don't base the season as it should
At least the Chainsaw is now usable since now since they cant fly away now and use a shotgun to counter the chainsaws
Yeah all they have done this chapter is release fun items, then take them away for collabs or seasonal events. Like season 2 it was all about gods and their powers, but then they all get taken away for those avatar mythics which were awful to fight against
The only time I won against someone with a jetpack when I did not was when I had the sheri claws and I had to finesse then so hard

The worst thing about Fortnite is the increasing number of hackers. Come on Epic Games do something about all the hackers please!
It's so cool to see JoJoJoSiah do a mini commentary here unexpectedly 🙌🏾
Should Epic consider doing an separate month long collab season? Instead of introducing something like Pirates of the Caribbean during a meta involving cars with crazy attachments why not separate them. Like for Fortnitemares, I’d argue that if the Marvel Loot pool was gone it would almost be an entirely new season. Especially if they added another Fortnitemares themed poi and did a mini battle pass. It’s a lot of work and I don’t wanna overly simplify this concept but would anyone want to see something like this? I feel each season loses their identity a bit when an unrelated collab introduces items that over power the meta.
The most inspirational last 10 seconds of any video😢❤
11:14 just add more flexible mobility variants lol for now we only have shockwaves and a limited amount of iron man's boots. Previously we had:
- ch5s1: TMMT mythics, grapple blade, shockwaves
-ch5s2: shockwaves, wings of icarus, airbending,
-ch5s3: nitro fists, shockwaves, Metallica guitar
-ch5w4: shockwaves, Ironman's boots and the vaulted jet pack
The jetpack was a bit clunky to use compared to different mobility options we had so far.

I agree they work hard on this game
I think the biggest mistake was showing us what season 4 could have been if jet packs didn’t exist in the first place
i don't get why they removed it since fortnite players casual or sweat like having diverse mobility
I liked the hover jets but it was completely anti-diversity. It overshadowed everything to the point of the other items being useless.
@@wet0wlthat's not true. I know because I play true to the characters I use each match. I've won in solos playing as Captain America with a shield alone.
i agree completely with everything your friend said
This season could have been good
The Jetpack was the same as the cars and the lightning bolt and the ballistic shield.
The ballistic shield was never nerfed, people just got better
I think itd be really funny if they did just add every marvel mythic and didnt nerf any of them lol. Heck, why dont we have a season with every weapon in the game.
most of the issues this chapter is because of the community not knowing what they want, epic makes bad nerfs and they dont release certain things because they have mixed opinions
when items come out they should be balanced. and if there not fun because there not overpowered then it wasn’t a fun item
Fortnite needs to stop listening to players entirely they need to commit and not change much and let players adapt like before
so before ch4?
Horrible idea. That's how you end up like other games that end up losing players.
You could see it as Epic not committing.
but as a dancer/performer , you can react in the moment: feel the crowd,
Fortnite can’t do that; they still have to balance the season.
I mean, that’s kind of your solution, to be fair.
Fortnite still needs to react; although they’ve mixed mythics before and have been ridiculed because of it.
for example chapter 4 season 1.. with the dragon ball and my hero
at times it was just to much...
Time to pop a beer and watch some Klarque
Fortnite now:
- one sweat say item bad
- epic listen and remove item
- 99% of the playerbase that play for fun sad
- sweat happy because no fun
That's how shit goes nowadays 😭
Sweats complain about the items as they are not having fun with them
Even some casuals are not.
Although I like the Jetpacks they weren't balanced very well in its concept.
...people are complaining the jetpacks are gone? I say good f**king riddance

Bro maybe I should make a video on it. Hands down worst shotgun meta in history
Been a long time since we had that
Bro cooked with this one, agreed entirely my man. LOVED the dancing analogy to start it off!
Chapter 5 is my favourite chapter i have been playing since 2021 i Love it so much i understand it's not for everyone but i still Love it
nah ong this chapter and marvel was so bad
Epic always relies way too heavily on collabs and that kind of basically rubs me the wrong way in some cases
Then again Disney bought a good portion of epics sharing the company so yeah that's a thing
But that wore off fast and yeah this chapter has kind of been shit.
you hit that shit lowkey
I was thinking of an idea to bring every marvel power and even more other powers to the game all at once, in REGULAR BR
Hear me out, midway through the match rift beacons turn on and rift in different pieces of 616 bringing different characters for you to fight, barter, or talk to
You could fight wolverine to get his claws
Talk with cyclops to get his Visor
Enter a machine to get one of the fantastic fours members
Etc etc etc
I think this would be an extremely fun and very interesting way to turn this seemingly marvel inspired season, into a full MARVEL Battle Royale still keeping the Fortnite feel
Great video
