Smriti Irani lost mainly due to her arrogance. Inside parliament as well as outside Her sole concern was to target and tarnish the Gandhis. Her dramatics and yelling were nauseating. Devoid of respect to elders and fellow parliamentarians Smriti disregarded the sanctity of the temple of democracy.
The Gandhi's never responded in a similar manner.
As far as her performance as a minister goes when the gravest of atrocities were committed against women and children she remained silent. She had no empathy and sympathy towards the poor and downtrodden.
She walked around like a pompous first lady. Her defeat was the sweetest of all defeats.
She should know that she was despised through the length and breadth of India.
She is most welcome to stand against Priyanka Gandhi in Wayanad. She will lose her deposit for sure.
